"We see, in many a land, the proudest dynasties and tyrannies still crushing, with their mountain weight, every free motion of the Consciences and hearts of men. We see, on the other hand, the truest heroism for the right and the greatest devotion to the Truth in hearts that God has touched. We have a work to do, as great as our forefathers and, perhaps, far greater. The enemies of Truth are more numerous and subtle than ever and the needs of the Church are greater than at any preceding time. If we are not debtors to the present, then men were never debtors to their age and their time. Brethren, we are debtors to the hour in which we live. Oh, that we might stamp it with Truth and that God might help us to impress upon its wings some proof that it has not flown by neglected and unheeded." -- C.H. Spurgeon . . . "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31, 32 . . . . .

TTUF Book Reviews & Recommendations

This page will provide you with Christian book reviews, a necessary resource for Christians today trying to navigate the vast book world of best sellers and every wind of doctrine. Buyer BEWARE!

The Remarkable Record of Job
"Far from being an engaging fable, the account of Job in the Bible is one of the most historically and scientifically accurate records of the ancient world."

The Remarkable Record of Job by Dr. Henry M. Morris is perhaps the most biblical and accurate framework for understanding the book of Job. This interpretation lets the text speak for itself and doesn’t read into the Bible long ages or evolution. Morris explained, "if the problem of suffering is the point of the book of Job, God never gives the answer."

Hitler's Cross
Erwin Lutzer's "Hilter's Cross" is an eye-opening book into the rise of Nazi Germany. A foundation was laid that prepared the way for Adolf Hitler; politically, spiritually, and philosophically, argues Lutzer. Spiritual forces that were at work are exposed by the author in ways that may have been unknown to many readers.

Know What You Believe

This is a wonderful little book. In ten chapters, this book will help you understand the non-negotiable truths of the Christian faith that will prevent you from being “tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine.” Knowing these truths will equip the believer to know what the bible says about itself, God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the essential doctrines of our faith.  Knowing these truths will help you to share their faith with non-believers.

“But in every generation the battle for the truth has proven ultimately unavoidable, because the enemies of truth are relentless. Truth is always under assault. And it is actually a sin not to fight when vital truths are under attack. That is true even though fighting sometimes results in conflict within the visible community of professing Christians. In fact, whenever the enemies of gospel truth succeed in infiltrating the church, faithful believers are obliged to take the battle to them even there. That is certainly the case today, as it has been in apostolic times.”

A TTUF Report: STRATEGIES as Outlined in WAR of the AGES by Dr. Gregory Reid – Part One -
Part Two - Part Three -

The complete title of this work is War of the Ages: A Complete Scriptural Guide to Confronting and Defeating Satan’s Kingdom. Here is a link where you can get your own copy.

This book is more than 385 pages and covers every aspect of spiritual warfare in detail; I would highly recommend this book to anyone, and particularly in our current situation, because the great enemy of the church, Satan, has been emboldened to such a degree as to rear his ugly head and blatantly revel in his wickedness as it’s been manifested in the societies of this fallen world.

New Evangelicalism: The New World Order

Paul Richard Smith is the author of a new book entitled, "New Evangelicalism: The New World Order". His many years as a pastor, teacher, and staunch defender of the inerrancy of the scriptures have respectfully earned him the title of a pastor's pastor. He is a true Watchman on the wall, a faithful servant, and committed purveyor of Biblical Truth.

This book provides an amazing historical account of the influence of "the seminal seeds that corrupted not only the major denominational churches, but specifically the conservative believing folks in these churches."

Emergent is Regurgitant - Part Two
Emergent is Regurgitant - Part Three
Emergent is Regurgitant - Part Four: Loving Emergent Style
Emergent is Regurgitant - Part Five: Emergent Church Matrix

The title of this series reveals my view of the Emergent Church Movement (ECM) as being the same old, tired doubt and denigration of God's Word that has been occurring in our world ever since the garden of Eden when the Serpent first said, "Yea, hath God said . . .?" but has returned in our day with new vigor and ambition.

A Comment or Two on, BURNING DOWN THE SHACK by James De Young

James De Young explains that he has written Burning Down The Shack for two reasons, “First to uncover the embedded errors in The Shack, those mostly belonging to universalism, and secondly to show from Scripture why they are so serious.” He will answer "What is God like"", "Why did Jesus Christ die?", "Does God punish sin?" and "Does mercy triumph over judgment?"

LOOKING Into The SHACK– A Review of the book, UNSHACKLED by Pastor Larry DeBruyn

Books contain words, and words convey ideas and ideas, concepts and perspectives are either true or they are not. If concepts in a Christian novel (The Shack is not a Christian novel(By 'Christian' we mean a Christian world view based on the truth of the Bible), though it's packaged to look like one) are not biblical, one must ask why the author (who is presumably a Christian) would promote such ideas.
