"We see, in many a land, the proudest dynasties and tyrannies still crushing, with their mountain weight, every free motion of the Consciences and hearts of men. We see, on the other hand, the truest heroism for the right and the greatest devotion to the Truth in hearts that God has touched. We have a work to do, as great as our forefathers and, perhaps, far greater. The enemies of Truth are more numerous and subtle than ever and the needs of the Church are greater than at any preceding time. If we are not debtors to the present, then men were never debtors to their age and their time. Brethren, we are debtors to the hour in which we live. Oh, that we might stamp it with Truth and that God might help us to impress upon its wings some proof that it has not flown by neglected and unheeded." -- C.H. Spurgeon . . . "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31, 32 . . . . .

~~ By James Fire

Marianne Williamson, author of A Return to Love* and Healing the Soul of America was a somewhat obscure writer until Oprah Winfrey had her on her show, propelling her status into national acclaim and credited her as a spiritual authority, recognized by the major media (particularly after 9-11) and religious institutions; indeed “a key ambassador for the New Age/New Gospel/New A Course in Miracles, which is what A Return to Love  magnifies as ‘gospel truth’.
Spirituality Christ”. Her books have gone global now, as millions are flocking to her banner of the New Age Gospel – a ‘return to love’. These same readers enthusiastically endorse Shucman’s book,

* For an explanation of this book by Williamson herself, watch this (part one of five) Return to Love.

A Return To 'Love'
The distinction between Williamson’s two books, according to Warren Smith, is that Healing the Soul of America has brought her New Age message into the political arena (something that Neale Donald Walsch’s ‘Christ’ says must happen as a matter of course) and has effectively promoted her (and Walsch’s) organization, The Global Renaissance Alliance, today known as the Peace Alliance. This organization is energetically engaged in becoming a Cabinet level organization in the Federal Government as the Department of Peace.

Are You Holding On To Biblical Truth? The Spiritual Deception Of The Last Days

by A.M. Kisly

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. " ~Psalm 119:105

Have you wondered why so many Christians are falling prey to false teachers and damnable heresies? I have. More and more, it seems, churches and those professing Christianity are being driven more by the culture and the various philosophies of postmodernism than by the eternal truth of God’s Word.

I once heard an old sermon given by A.W. Tozer, I'll paraphrase what he said: Now there are a very few things in the world that matter very much, and there are still fewer things that are matters of life and death. There are a few however, that are not only important, they are vitally, critically important. For instance a compass to a sea journey. If you start out an a journey on the sea without a compass, the chances are a million to one that you will sail around in circles until you perish. It takes a compass to cross the ocean! The captain that would take a vessel out into the ocean without a compass, he is not gambling, he is committing suicide and murder. When it comes to crossing the ocean, you have got to be right or you will be dead. Truly we cannot navigate through life without the compass of the Word of God. For without it we are doomed to perish, and with it we will never be lost.

Unfortunately, many of today's Christians navigate through life on the coat tails of other Christians, authors, or by feelings and experiences. The Bible, if not totally disregarded, is being used as nothing more than a collection of quaint sayings and cute children's stories. The Bible is being abandoned as absolute authority and rule for our lives. In exchange, they consume, embrace and defend their most treasured "Christian" novels and bestsellers saturated with every strange wind of New Age heresy and postmodern thought.

The most grave crisis facing the church today is the subtle downgrading of the Bible as the infallible and inerrant truth of God for which Christians must faithfully heed.

The scriptures tell us as we have received Christ we are to walk in Him, and our lives are to be deeply rooted and grounded, and established in the faith.

Colossians 2:6-8 states, "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Romans 10:17, "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

I found a short article this week that discusses the cause of "Spiritual Deception". The following excerpts were written by a pastor from the UK. I would encourage you to read it as it discusses how vital the Word of God is to the believer. Like the Psalm says, "Thy WORD is a LAMP unto my feet and a LIGHT unto my path." As believers, I pray that we do not neglect it, ignore it, nor disregard it's TRUTHS. Those that do will be lost as surely as the captain who sails without a compass.

Are You Holding On To Truth or falling into the Spiritual Deception Of The Last Days? - Gary Hall

Spiritual deception is the result of not following or obeying the Word of God. When a believer adopts any thought, doctrine, or practice which is contrary to God’s written word then he enters into the spiritual darkness of heresy and deception.

This is especially true in relation to the Last Days. It seems that spiritual deception and a departure from the true “faith once delivered to the saints” (Jude :3) will increase as we approach the final days. This is because Satan and his hordes know that their “time is short” (Revelation 12:12) to win as many souls as possible. These souls include believers in Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect” (Matthew 24:24). If it were not possible to deceive the very elect then Jesus would have not bothered to state this. The apostle Paul tells us that the last day Church will be invaded by teachings originating in Hell, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils” (1 Timothy 4:1).

Not only has Satan sent false Christs into the world to capture the hearts of those who do not know the true God and Saviour, but he has also commissioned deceivers, false brethren (Galatians 2:4) to promote a form of Christianity to seduce believers who do not abide in God’s written word. We live in an age when “false prophets” have arisen and are showing many “great signs and wonders”. Those, of the modern Pentecostal and Charismatic movements are being duped by signs, wonders, and false miracles performed by the latest superstar to come onto the scene. They fail to acknowledge Paul’s warning about this very thing when he said, “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works” (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). They fail to be Bereans who “searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so” (Acts 17:11), and so allow “wolves in sheep’s clothing” (Matthew 7:15) to minister a corrupted gospel to them. These teachers are really “ravening” and “grievous wolves” who do not care for the people in the least, but instead speak “perverse things, to draw away disciples after them” (Acts 20:29-30). At the root of the deception is “mammon” (Matthew 6:24) for they “through covetousness shall with feigned words make merchandise” of their followers (2 Peter 2:3). This is a perfect description of the Wealth and Health preachers of today.

The Lord Jesus asks, “When the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8). The devil’s work of deception operating within the Church is so fashioned to destroy the faith of many through false prophets, false teachers, false brethren, and false bibles. He desires to destroy a person’s faith in the eternal word of God. Many of our Churches no longer want to “endure sound doctrine” but would rather listen to foolish stories and receive “pep-talks” on various carnal subjects. The apostle Paul writes in 2 Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables”. Few want to hear a preacher of righteousness speaking about true faith, against sin, and about Hell. It seems that we live in a day when fabulous tales and exaggerated experiences are more to the liking of Christians than the pure word of the Lord. These people think that they no longer need to be rebuked and exhorted “with all longsuffering and doctrine” (2 Timothy 4:2). In general today’s churchgoer wants sermons that do not demand anything from them or causes them to consider their own souls. They will not accept a call to repentance, obedience, or commitment. They love their false teachers. Jeremiah explains, “The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?” (5:31). Preachers that make them feel uncomfortable in their sin and compromise are usually labeled ‘legalistic’ or ‘doom and gloom’. This willful ignorance of God’s word has caused them to open both their churches and their hearts to “lying spirits, and doctrines of devils” that have seduced them from Christ so that now their minds and consciences are “seared with a hot iron” (1 Timothy 4:1-2). No wonder Jesus asks if He will find true faith when He returns!

We can see that the “falling away” (2 Thessalonians 2:3) or departure “from the faith” is not that there will be less people attending church, but that fewer of them will be able to distinguish between what is true and what is false. The greatest spiritual battle for the souls of men is taking place within the church not outside of it. The Last Days are clearly here when we see such personal and denominational apostasy at an all time high because of the infiltration of perverted and distorted gospels promoted by compromising preachers and pastors. Nevertheless, there will always be God’s faithful remnant who will never bow their knee alongside the prophets of Baal.

The believer has protection from such deception. This involves being totally loyal and faithful to God and His inspired word. Added to this we must realize that deception can enter at any level, so that even a sound preacher can become deceived and promote a mixture of truth and error. Such awareness has to be united with a desire to obey only that which is contained in God’s written word and to have our lives sanctified through it, “Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy word is truth” (John 17:17), and to walk in righteousness. Throughout the Bible the Holy Spirit warns us to stay faithful to God’s word, even if it means being persecuted for doing so, “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them” (2 Timothy 3:12-14). It is our duty to stand firm with the “Sword of the Spirit” in our hand (Ephesians 6:17). We need to be like Eleazar who fought the Philistines “until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword” or like Shammah who defended a field of lentils against the Philistines (2 Samuel 23:9-12). Our “Philistines” are the false teachers and false doctrines, therefore we need to “fight the good fight of faith” (1 Timothy 6:12).

Standing for truth and righteousness will involve separation from people, churches, and ministries who deny the Scriptures in word or in practice, and who preach a compromising message. The apostle Paul says that they may appear like good Christians but by “denying the power thereof” they prove themselves false, therefore we should “turn away” from them (2 Timothy 3:5). We must remind ourselves that we bring a curse into our lives when we associate with anything that twists, adds or takes away from God’s word, “If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:9). This separation from falsehood is of vital importance if we are to be kept free from spiritual deception. Again, the Lord encourages us to “come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you” (2 Corinthians 6:17).

Loyalty to Scripture and seeking out faithful ministers is needful for the days we are living in. By doing so, prayerfully and watchfully, we can be assured of close fellowship with Christ. This calls for abiding in the word of God every day of our lives and neither looking to the left or the right of it. It means “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2). We do not need new doctrines, practices, or experiences. What will cause us to “endure to the end” (Matthew 24:13) is a solid Scriptural foundation and an undivided commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand” (John 10:27-28). Our safeguard against false doctrine and apostasy is found in obedience to the Scriptures, by taking it alone as our firm foundation and standard for faith and practice.

The final authority must always be God’s written word! If it is not clearly in the Bible then the teaching must not be entertained for a moment. The Lord said, “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:3-7). We will protect ourselves therefore by keeping our lives (both physical and spiritual) within the confines of the word of God, by yielding to His direction and guidance, and by being in a constant state of watchfulness and prayerfulness because we know that our “adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). ~ Pastor Gary Hall

~~ By James Fire
Neale Donald Walsch, former radio talk show host, public relations professional and long time metaphysical seeker once wrote God a letter – an angry letter! He was amazed to get a response from ‘God’ through an inner voice (interesting how all of these New Agers receive ‘new’ revelation from an ‘inner voice’). As Neale began to write down answers to all of the questions he asked of ‘God’, this commenced a journey that lasted several years and these sessions were eventually published in book form, entitled Conversations with God: Book I in 1995 that began a series of best-sellers with the same name, read by not thousands or tens of thousands, but by millions of people! Every one has a basic understanding of good and evil, based upon our human conscience which is universal regardless of culture, education, social environment, etc. Almost every one would agree that the nadir of nefarious evil is personified in the person of Adolf Hilter. Yet according to Walsch’s ‘God’:

“. . . Hitler didn’t hurt any one. In a sense, he didn’t inflict suffering, he ended it.”

Also: “Hitler went to heaven.”

The Coming Collapse - A Rising False Hope

by A.M. Kisly

My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus' blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly lean on Jesus' name.

On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand; all other ground is sinking sand.

When Darkness veils his lovely face, I rest on his unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, his covenant, his blood supports me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way, he then is all my hope and stay.

When he shall come with trumpet sound, O may I then in him be found!
Dressed in his righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne!

Great words of TRUTH!

This morning I received a newsletter from, The American Spectator, an online news source that features opinions, reviews of social, political, economical and world events.

The newsletter stated that it had an important message from Stansberry Research, a financial market analysis group which offers investment advice and publishes a range of investment news. Stansberry Research is one of the top Investment Research firms in the U.S. and around the world. This important video message presents a warning about the coming economic collapse in America.
Of course, Stansberry Research is not the only group sounding the alarm, many economists and those involved in business media are warning of a coming collapse as well.

According to Business and Media Institute of the Media Research Center, there was an
UNREPORTED George Soros event that took place on April 8, 2011, aiming to Remake the Entire Global Economy. This group, a group which Soros's has funded with $50 million, has held a major economic conference. According to Soros, his goal for such an event is to "establish new international rules" and "reform the currency system." The article explains that it's all according to a plan laid out in a Nov. 4, 2009, Soros op-ed calling for "a grand bargain that rearranges the entire financial ordeal", as reported by the Japan Times, there is No alternative to a new world architecture.

The event brought together "more than 200 academic, business and government policy thought leaders' to repeat the famed 1944 Bretton Woods gathering that helped create the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. Soros wants a new 'multilateral system," or an economic system where America isn't dominant.

You can read the entire article here: Unreported Soros Event Aims to Remake Entire Global Economy

The Stansberry Research alert has put out a video presentation explaining our current economic crisis. It is a rather long video, one that you will feel the urge to turn off in the beginning as he explains his many reasons for making such a video, but hang in there the rest of the presentation is well documented and thoroughly explained, and will be posted at the end of this article. Also, at the end of this message, he offers some short term advice in the event of a severe economic crisis, and long term financial advice. The short-term advice is good advice in any crisis. However, I am not advocating any advice he may offer to protect your money towards the end of this message. That decision is between you and the Lord. I am simply warning about the economic tsunami heading our way, and how that relates to Biblical prophecy. Whether or not this crisis actually happens I still believe that it is wise to be forewarned. Jesus warned us in the scriptures. The weathermen warn us of a coming hurricane, tornado or tsunami.

The financial experts are warning us of an economic collapse, and in that light, let me reiterate the short term advice he offers in this presentation:

1) In the event of such a catastrophe, and if you live in an urban area, have someplace else that you can go to ride out the immediate crisis. Martial law will be initiated, stores may close, banks will close, power and water may be shut off. Rioting, violence and chaos always follow a catastrophic event. I remember the San Francisco earthquake and the rioting and the violence. Katrina is another example of what might happen when people are terrified and desperate. So if you have a relative or friend outside of the city in which you live, make a plan to stay with them in the event that such a collapse should happen.

2) While you are waiting out the crisis, he recommends that you have enough food, water and medical supplies to last at least 6 months. We have heard this advice before by our local news media for weather related warnings. Remember, that you will not be able to count on the government during this crisis, and that is true of most crises. The truth is that should a crisis come like he is suggesting the government won’t even try to save individual American citizens; the government will be much more concerned with saving itself. Dry beans, rice, pasta and canned goods store well. Don’t forget toiletries and water. Remember it’s just a warning. I’m neither a prophet nor expert, but I’ve been hearing these reports for the past year or so. With the overwhelming evidence presented in this presentation, and should this actually happen, I’d like to be prepared for it, and I’m sure that you would too.

My purpose for posting this particular article is not to induce fear or to incite more political rallying and such, as I don’t believe that the things that have been set in motion can be stopped. I am simply publishing this information to warn of the perilous times that are on the horizon, that we might prepare ourselves as we wait for the coming of our Lord and King.

To those who say, "I'm not worried; the LORD will take care of us, His children", absolutely and AMEN! The LORD will indeed protect and provide for His children. Yet consider Joseph in Egypt: the LORD gave Pharaoh a dream and Joseph the interpretation (note- a secular 'source' but with the interpretation of one of God's faithful by the Spirit).

By this, Joseph saw the wisdom of creating stores for 7 years, to provide for the 7 yrs of famine, and as a result, all Egypt as well as all Israel was saved. It’s not a 'lack of faith' to make preparations.

Though I hold no confidence in man’s wisdom, or the wisdom of leading experts, we must be ready for what lies ahead by placing our complete confidence in the Lord and praying for wisdom. He alone will strengthen us and carry us through. I am also aware that there have been many heralding warnings about a coming crisis: Larry Burkett's Coming Economic Crisis and Chuck Missler's warning about Y2K, these things didn't transpire either. True; however it’s always prudent to prepare for eventualities that don't actualize in our every day world, than to not prepare and be caught with no provisions whatsoever.

The events unfolding before us have been foretold within the prophetic word of Scripture centuries ago. Our future and our hope do not rest in this world, but the world that is to come. Many in the Church today who have bought into the fables of Dominion theology are in for a rude awakening. The harsh reality is, God hath already declared in his word what would come, and that is the Judgment. Had His Church been paying attention to that inspired warning, they would not be caught unaware as His prophetic Word is being fulfilled.

I don’t have to point out the fact that the whole world seems to be in upheaval. In the past few years we have seen and are experiencing things as never before imagined. From natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, fires, tsunamis and such; to unnatural disasters such as nuclear power meltdowns and oil spills. This world has embraced: atheism, communism, humanism and any philosophical ism that separates from God and from biblical truth. We are watching world governments being overthrown, economic collapse, social collapse, and a push for globalism. Our freedoms are diminishing more everyday while our own elected government leaders are undermining our Constitution, our National Security and our National Sovereignty. There is a skyrocketing interest in all things spiritual (the occult, the new age, pagan and eastern mystical practices), while overwhelming immorality has become socially acceptable and trendy. Selfishness, violence and greed are in the driver’s seat of humanity. False religions are growing by leaps and bounds, and as a result so is the rise of Christian persecution, the hatred for biblical truth, and Jesus Christ who is the TRUTH. We are watching the Church collapsing before our eyes because of compromise and the lack of biblical discernment. We are WORD poor and worldly minded….that spells catastrophe!

If we have been paying attention at all, we have probably heard and read the warnings of a coming New World Order by those who have been labeled “conspiracy theorists.” This coming World Order will be set up with a global economic system, a global religion, and a global government. As the world continues to deteriorate, and uprisings and wars consume us, the world is looking for a messiah, a deliverer, but not THE Messiah, Jesus Christ. There is one that is coming who will promise peace and safety…and the world will gather around him and worship him. This is the Anti-Christ and he will set himself up as the (false) Messiah to be worshiped by all.

Many have been warning of this coming global system. Those who have been setting off the alarm have been ridiculed by the public and the news media…until now. For now the government openly admits that these are their plans and we are quickly heading in that direction. Like it or not, these plans have already been set in motion.

Does the Bible speak of such things? The prophet Daniel described this New World Order this way.

“After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.” - Daniel 7:7-8

"Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” - Daniel 7:23-25

This is repeated by John in the book of Revelation...

“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” - Revelation 13:1-10

”And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. - Revelation 13:11-18

Before I post the video presentation, there is some rather current news on the economy that may interest you and which sheds more light on some of the information provided in the presentation. I’ll try and keep this short, because the video is rather long and will cover the economic history of how we’ve arrived to the point of economic collapse and a future global monetary system. Still, keep in mind that these things were written down in the scriptures, centuries ago.

According to a CNN report, just weeks ago,

“The IMF (International Monetary Fund) issued a report with plans to replace the U.S. dollar as the world's reserve currency. CNN reported that The IMF said Special Drawing Rights, or SDRs, could help stabilize the global financial system.

Rs represent potential claims on the currencies of IMF members. They were created by the IMF in 1969 and can be converted into whatever currency a borrower requires at exchange rates based on a weighted basket of international currencies. The IMF typically lends countries funds denominated in SDRs.

While they are not a tangible currency, some economists argue that SDRs could be used as a less volatile alternative to the U.S. dollar.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, managing director of the IMF, acknowledged there are some "technical hurdles" involved with SDRs, but he believes they could help correct global imbalances and shore up the global financial system.

"Over time, there may also be a role for the SDR to contribute to a more stable international monetary system," he said.

The goal is to have a reserve asset for central banks that better reflects the global economy since the dollar is vulnerable to swings in the domestic economy and changes in U.S. policy.

In addition to serving as a reserve currency, the IMF also proposed creating SDR-denominated bonds, which could reduce central banks' dependence on U.S. Treasuries. The Fund also suggested that certain assets, such as oil and gold, which are traded in U.S. dollars, could be priced using SDRs.

IMF’s Bancor Last Man Standing? One World Currency to Rule Them All?

Oil prices usually go up when the dollar depreciates. Supporters say using SDRs to price oil on the global market could help prevent spikes in energy prices that often occur when the dollar weakens significantly.

Fred Bergsten, director of the Peterson Institute for International Economics, said at a conference in Washington that IMF member nations should agree to create $2 trillion worth of SDRs over the next few years.

SDRs, he said, "will further diversify the system."

Are you wondering who the IMF is? The following description is taken from Wikipedia.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is the intergovernmental organization that oversees the global financial system by following the macroeconomic policies of its member countries, in particular those with an impact on exchange rate and the balance of payments. It is an organization formed with a stated[dubious – discuss] objective of stabilizing international exchange rates and facilitating development through the enforcement of liberalising economic policies on other countries as a condition for loans, restructuring or aid. It also offers loans with varying levels of conditionality, mainly to poorer countries. Its headquarters are in Washington, D.C., United States. The IMF's relatively high influence in world affairs and development has drawn heavy criticism from some sources.

The International Monetary Fund was conceived in July 1944 originally with 45 members and came into existence in December 1945 when 29 countries signed the agreement, with a goal to stabilize exchange rates and assist the reconstruction of the world's international payment system.

The International Monetary Fund was conceived in July 1944 during the United Nations Monetary and Financial Conference. The representatives of 45 governments met in the Mount Washington Hotel in the area of Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, United States, with the delegates to the conference agreeing on a framework for international economic cooperation.[14] The IMF was formally organized on December 27, 1945, when the first 29 countries signed its Articles of Agreement. The statutory purposes of the IMF today are the same as when they were formulated in 1943 (see Assistance and reforms).

The IMF's influence in the global economy steadily increased as it accumulated more members. The number of IMF member countries has more than quadrupled from the 44 states involved in its establishment, reflecting in particular the attainment of political independence by many developing countries and more recently the collapse of the Soviet bloc. The expansion of the IMF's membership together with the changes in the world economy, have required the IMF to adapt in a variety of ways to continue serving its purposes effectively.

In 2008, faced with a shortfall in revenue, the International Monetary Fund's executive board agreed to sell part of the IMF's gold reserves. On April 27, 2008, IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn welcomed the board's decision of April 7, 2008 to propose a new framework for the fund, designed to close a projected $400 million budget deficit over the next few years. The budget proposal includes sharp spending cuts of $100 million until 2011 that will include up to 380 staff dismissals.

At the 2009 G-20 London summit, it was decided that the IMF would require additional financial resources to meet prospective needs of its member countries during the ongoing global financial crisis. As part of that decision, the G-20 leaders pledged to increase the IMF's supplemental cash tenfold to $500 billion, and to allocate to member countries another $250 billion via Special Drawing Rights.

On October 23, 2010, the Ministers of Finance of G-20, governing most of the IMF member quotas, agreed to reform IMF and shift about 6% of the voting shares to major developing nations and countries with emerging markets.[18] As of August 2010 Romania ($13.9 billion), Ukraine ($12.66 billion), Hungary ($11.7 billion) and Greece ($30 billion) are the largest borrowers of the fund.

Wikipedia defines SDRs for us:

“Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) are international foreign exchange reserve assets. Allocated to nations by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), a SDR represents a claim to foreign currencies for which it may be exchanged in times of need.”

According to a Bloomberg report, the SDR is a hybrid. SDRs are part U.S. dollar, part euro, part yen and part British pound. In particular, the following is how each SDR currently breaks down….

U.S. Dollar: 41.9%
Euro: 37.4%
Yen: 9.4%
British Pound: 11.3%

Currently there are calls for other national currencies to be included in the melting pot such as Russian President Dmitry Medvedev who has publicly called for the national currencies of Brazil, Russia, India and China to be included in the SDR. Back in January, the Obama administration stated that it fully supports the eventual inclusion of the yuan in the SDR.

It appears that we are moving in the direction of the SDR becoming a true global currency.

An IMF paper entitled “Reserve Accumulation and International Monetary Stability” was published last year. It proposed that a future global currency should be called the “Bancor” and that a future global central bank could be put in charge of issuing it.

According to the report, “A global currency, bancor, issued by a global central bank (see Supplement 1, section V) would be designed as a stable store of value that is not tied exclusively to the conditions of any particular economy. As trade and finance continue to grow rapidly and global integration increases, the importance of this broader perspective is expected to continue growing.”

The IMF report actually compares the proposed global central bank to the U.S. Federal Reserve. “The global central bank could serve as a lender of last resort, providing needed systemic liquidity in the event of adverse shocks and more automatically than at present. Such liquidity was provided in the most recent crisis mainly by the U.S. Federal Reserve, which however may not always provide such liquidity.”

IMF’s proposal of a global currency is just one aspect of a coming one-world economic system and a one-world central bank.

Again, I’d like to state that I am not advocating any advice coming from the world, but only wish to point us back to the Bible. The coming economic collapse and the rising of a New World Order have all been foretold in the Scriptures. I am reminded of the warning given to the disciples by Jesus. Matthew 24 gets into great detail about future events and the sorrows that are to come. Though some of the prophecy here is dealing with the destruction of the temple and Jerusalem, I believe the rest is referring to the end times, or the end of the world.

“As he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Matthew 24:3

Though I’m sure that the disciples might have been looking for a precise time or time frame as to when these coming events would take place, the answer Jesus gives them looks much further than their question and gives instruction to His Church concerning the great events of that age, as well as His second coming at the end of time.

The question is, “What shall be the sign of thy coming?” Good question.

I wonder how many in the Church today are searching the scriptures for that very answer. With all the bickering going on in the Church over whether the rapture will occur before or after the tribulation, we are missing the important warnings and signs given by the Lord. Jim and I both believe in a pre-tribulation rapture of the Church, but that does not mean that we believe that the Church will be spared all of turbulent trials heading our way.

Note: There is a 6 part series written by James Fire regarding the Rapture of the Church posted on this website. For those interested I will direct you to the first part of that series for your further study: Rapture of the Church

Reading through the next verses of Matthew 24, most of the signs that Jesus had warned us of are going on in the world today. Briefly here is a descriptive overview of some of those verses:

In verses 4 and 5 of Matthew 24, Jesus mentions the appearing of false prophets who would deceive. They would claim divine inspiration and a spirit of prophecy, but it is all a lie. Are we not seeing this happen in the Church today? Look at the movements driving today’s Christians. We’re seeing everything from the Postmodern Movement to the Emergent Church, the New Apostolic Fathers (signs and wonders group), the Date Setters of Harold Camping, the Mormons amongst many others all proclaiming a divine message from God, but are contrary to scripture. Look at Oprah’s new spirituality, Glen Beck’s Divine Spirituality Tour…and the myriad of others proclaiming Divine Inspiration and prophetic utterances. The scriptures are warning that there would be pseudo Christ’s who claim that we are all gods…the power within and so forth….Just turn on the television…you can’t escape them.

The devil has been busy making promises to the poor, the oppressed and the hopeless….look at all the political promises made in the last few years. A Change….and just look at the millions who have bought the lies in hopes that this will save them. The government cannot save us. And the world is starting to recognize that all these promises are coming to naught. Yet do they turn to the Lord? Do they repent? No, they will seek another who will tell them exactly what they want to hear…who will promise peace and safety…….but then, sudden destruction.

In verse 6, Jesus speaks of wars and rumors of wars. Are we not a witness to nations rising against nations, great commotions and uprisings who are overthrowing governments?

In verse 7, world hunger and great suffering are described…famines, pestilences, and earthquakes…According to a world hunger educational statistics report, there were more that 925 million hungering people in the world in 2010. Look at all the pandemic warnings in the past few years. The latest earthquakes in Japan caused staggering devastation. According to some experts, Japan’s disastrous March 11 earthquake has had a lasting geologic impact on the earth. Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology preliminarily found that it moved the planet’s rotation axis by 25 centimeters. A U.S. Geological Survey seismologist Dr. Daniel McNamara told The Huffington Post, “The land actually dropped, so when the tsunami came in, it’s just staying.” The earth movements caused a slight contraction in the overall circumference of the planet, which has shortened the length of each day by about a millionth of a second.1 Like a spinning figure skater bringing his or her arms inward to increase speed, the earth appears to be rotating the tiniest bit faster now.

If the aforementioned things weren’t horrifying enough, Jesus makes in incredible statement. He says that “this is just the beginning of sorrows.” This is just the beginning?

In verse 9 we see that Jesus is warning them of great persecution coming to those whose faith is in Jesus Christ. Christian persecution is not only on the rise, but is virtually ignored by this country and other European countries around the world. Many of our brothers and sisters around the globe are threatened, beaten, imprisoned and murdered for their faith in Jesus Christ. And while millions have been slaughtered, the world has turned a blind eye. That is why we have dedicated a page on this website called Christian Persecution Alert (CPA). Our purpose is to inform our readers of the atrocities taking place, to support our brothers and sisters in prayer and also to support by whatever means possible.

Verse 10-12, tells us that betrayals, offenses, hatred, iniquity and deception will abound. Isn’t that true today? “And because iniquity abounds the love of many shall wax cold.”

Have you not been effected by those who once proclaimed faith in Jesus Christ and have now become dull of heart and of hearing? The fervent love they once held in their hearts for the Lord and proclaimed to the world has turned cold and has grown icicles. Have you grieved over those souls who you once fellowshipped and served with as they their heart warms towards the things of this world? Have you watched them as they embrace sinful folly and ignore biblical truth?

The compromise and the lack of a troubled conscience is epidemic in Christian circles. So many are embracing every wind of false doctrine…why is there no discernment? Their conversation is worldly, their interests are worldly, and they are enamored with the idols of this world rather than the Creator of this world. Have you been the recipient of their scorn? Have you been ridiculed for trying to remain pure and holy and set apart unto God? Has your most heart felt pleading, nudging, and the admonishing of scripture been met with rejection and accusation? Have you been accused of being intolerant, legalistic and overzealous; or are you just plain ignored and tuned out. Are you concerned for our kids as they are being enticed away from the Lord by the temptations of this world? The Lord said it would happen, and it is, right before our very eyes!

Well, the rest of the chapter is filled with warnings of those things that would come and that we now see happening in our world today. While many both in the world and the church are investing in gold and silver, this too will not save them. The world will develop its global monetary system and the bible states that no man will buy or sell without the mark of the beast…

I will place my hope and trust in Jesus Christ!

Before I close, I just want to skip down to verse 34, where Jesus says this:

“Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the day that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark. And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” - Verses 45-51

I would like admonish all of the saints to pray that the LORD will temper this chastening/judgment with mercy and 'soften the blow' as it were by those in the employment of His enemy. The 'goblins', as we refer to them, would seek a harsh reality for those of us who are comparatively poor. God always tempers His judgment with mercies. We need to intercede for this nation, the world and the church across the globe.

“And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” – Luke 21:34-36

Yes, I firmly believe that we are entering the time of the end, and these warnings are in fact coming to pass before our eyes. I believe that Jesus is coming just as he claimed he would. I also believe that there will be a rapture of the Church before the time of the Great Tribulation. I implore those reading this to take head to these warnings and to get ready. Jesus is coming and when he returns to this earth, He will return as King of kings and Lord of lords and Judge over all.

~~ By James Fire
A Look at Warren Smith’s Updated Book, “False Christ Coming: Does Anybody Care?”
- the above pictures are of Barbara Marx Hubbard (left); Marianne Williamson (middle); and Neil Donald Walsh (right).

After picking up Warren Smith’s updated book (formerly known as “Reinventing Jesus Christ”) and giving it a solemn reading, I quickly decided that this would have to become an article here on TTUF.

This book deals heavily with New Age, Emergent and Last Days issues, as well as crucial ones regarding the veracity of Scripture, as opposed to ‘new revelations’ given to such New Agers as Barbara Marx Hubbard, Marianne Williamson and Neale Donald Walsch.

These three form a triad of sorts and represent the foundation of the Global Peace Alliance, or the Peace Alliance (as of 2005) a New Age organization that’s become so powerful, that they are now able to legitimately lobby to become a Cabinet Level office within our Federal Government (endorsed and fully funded) which has some alarming consequences for those of us who ascribe to a literal perspective of the Holy Bible! This prospective branch is situated to become the Department of Peace with Walsh and Williamson spearheading it as the leaders, and New Age followers inundating its ranks.

Another Vital Weapon in our Spiritual Arsenal
~ by James Fire

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them
