"We see, in many a land, the proudest dynasties and tyrannies still crushing, with their mountain weight, every free motion of the Consciences and hearts of men. We see, on the other hand, the truest heroism for the right and the greatest devotion to the Truth in hearts that God has touched. We have a work to do, as great as our forefathers and, perhaps, far greater. The enemies of Truth are more numerous and subtle than ever and the needs of the Church are greater than at any preceding time. If we are not debtors to the present, then men were never debtors to their age and their time. Brethren, we are debtors to the hour in which we live. Oh, that we might stamp it with Truth and that God might help us to impress upon its wings some proof that it has not flown by neglected and unheeded." -- C.H. Spurgeon . . . "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31, 32 . . . . .

~~ By James Fire

Marianne Williamson, author of A Return to Love* and Healing the Soul of America was a somewhat obscure writer until Oprah Winfrey had her on her show, propelling her status into national acclaim and credited her as a spiritual authority, recognized by the major media (particularly after 9-11) and religious institutions; indeed “a key ambassador for the New Age/New Gospel/New A Course in Miracles, which is what A Return to Love  magnifies as ‘gospel truth’.
Spirituality Christ”. Her books have gone global now, as millions are flocking to her banner of the New Age Gospel – a ‘return to love’. These same readers enthusiastically endorse Shucman’s book,

* For an explanation of this book by Williamson herself, watch this (part one of five) Return to Love.

A Return To 'Love'
The distinction between Williamson’s two books, according to Warren Smith, is that Healing the Soul of America has brought her New Age message into the political arena (something that Neale Donald Walsch’s ‘Christ’ says must happen as a matter of course) and has effectively promoted her (and Walsch’s) organization, The Global Renaissance Alliance, today known as the Peace Alliance. This organization is energetically engaged in becoming a Cabinet level organization in the Federal Government as the Department of Peace.

Watch this video:

Department of Peace Interview with Marianne Williamson

Members of this Peace Alliance include such New Age teacher as the previously mentioned Barbara Marx Hubbard, Gary Zukav, James Redfield, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, among others with Williamson and Walsch leading it on. It describes itself as:

“A citizen based network of spiritual activists [whose] mission is to make a stand in our local and national communities for the role of spiritual principle in solving the problems of the world.” This ‘spiritual principle’ is the New Age ideology that we are really all one because we are a “part of God”. Their desire is to “re-invent the traditional Gospel as well as the Person of Jesus Christ, and there is no tolerance whatsoever for those who would proclaim that the Bible is exclusively true just as Jesus Himself is the Truth (the Way and the Life).

Among many Emergent Church authors and those friendly to Emergence (if there are any who are still unfamiliar with this term and its accompanying movement, simply type “emergent church” in the TTUF browser to access various articles on it), such books as Re-imaging Christianity, Re-thinking Christianity and many related titles are all calling for a change in Christianity that includes how the church functions, and why, our doctrinal beliefs, as well as a changed perspective on who Jesus really is and what His mission was really all about.

Brian McLaren, a prolific leader in the Emergent Church movement says that we must “re-think everything” –

Brian McLaren, “re-think everything”

McLaren equates repenting with re-thinking, and re-thinking everything in the church and our perspectives towards the world in every facet – from the environment, to money, to people of different political [no doubt religious as well] views and beliefs, etc. He rightly affirms that “to repent” is to “think differently, to change, etc” but he relates this to all sorts of secular and earthly issues.

However repentance is not to be equated with merely “re-thinking” things in general, it’s quite specifically focused on the central issue of our sinful hearts and the willful sinning against God and how we need to turn (repent) from such a life, and believe the Gospel of the Kingdom (which is His, and something we are not going to build in this present world system; we are invited to be born into and become citizens of the kingdom which is to come when the King Himself arrives, via the Gospel of salvation).

The Peace Alliance desires to set itself apart from the usual politics of our day, but for all its talk of being different and ‘re-thinking’, it still follows the political practice of obfuscation and ‘double-speak’ that is so prevalent today, particularly noticeable in our own American government. Seldom does one ever hear the blatant agenda that they have planned to hijack biblical Christianity for the cause of their own Christ.

Though the Peace Alliance presents itself as a grass roots movement, the leadership are high level New Agers who are conducting their agenda in accord with ‘blue prints’ as conceived by Alice Bailey of the Theosophical Society and her spirit guide Dhjwal Khul. Williamson tips her hand frequently when she speaks of “the Destiny of the Nations” and “the Great Work”, phrases originating with Bailey and her spirit guide (demon):

“Beyond the appearances of history, there is a great and glorious unfolding plan for the destiny of nations. According to the mystical traditions [the occult], God carries this plan within His mind, seeking always, in every way, channels for its furtherance. His plan for the evolution of humanity and the preparation of teachers to guide it, is called within the esoteric traditions [again, the occult] the Great Work.” Taken from Healing the Soul of America: Reclaiming Our Voices as Spiritual Citizens (NY, Simon & Schuster, 1997, 2000), p. 195.

The fact that others are in total accord with Williamson’s (borrowed) vision within and without the Peace Alliance, notably her most stalwart allies like Hubbard, Walsch, and others (these consistently endorse and review each other’s books), shows that the networking of this organization is on a global level.

What expedited the networking process was 9–11 and the resulting bewilderment of America and the world; people were seeking answers for this tragedy and Williamson and her colleagues were ready, willing and able to provide them, insisting that world peace could only be possible by the plan they offer:

Warren Smith writes - “Williamson was interviewed by Tom Brokaw on NBC, by Oprah Winfrey on CBS, and by Larry King on CNN. Gary Zukav likewise appeared on Oprah, twice; Wayne Dryer did commentary on MSNBC and NBC, and even had his own PBS special. All of them gave their spiritual perspective on September 11th and introduced their New Age/New Gospel ideas for creating peace.”
Times, they said have changed and so then must we; survival of our species depends on thinking differently about our world’s future, and a new way and a new standard for the peace that we need.

Williamson told Larry King re: 911 –

“It is a challenge for the human race to evolve into the next stage of our spiritual development. You know what we need to heal are the thought forms and feelings that cause us to create war and mass destruction on this kind of a level because ultimately if we are to survive as a species, we have to become a human race for whom the thought of war is unthinkable.”

“We have to wage peace… we need to dismantle hatred itself. And hatred is our real problem…”

On Oprah, Williamson told her, “Every problem [like 911] comes bearing its own solution… I think this tragedy has taken us to a ground of being that is like a precious vial of spiritual medicine.”

“You know, terrorists have cells. We need cells of peace. The greatest antidote to violence is that we proactively create fields of non-violence, fields of peace.”

As mentioned before, Williamson and those of the Peace Alliance believe that peace is only possible “through atonement” or ‘at-one-ment’, that is, recognizing that we are all one, and that we are one with God, essentially being a part of God and thereby God ourselves.

Gary Zukav, who also appeared on Oprah has gone on record as stating “… I know that the universe is wise and compassionate. The question then becomes: How can there be such brutality and such pain and such suffering in our world if the universe is compassionate and wise? The reason is we put it there. We create it. And it’s up to us to stop creating it.”

Zukav elaborates his views by stating that we must relieve ourselves of fear, and of separation, two primary words that he warns us against, and admonishes that we change ourselves by replacing fear with peace, and separation with love.

Good sounding words, but these are New Age versions that insist that both peace and love are only attainable by a belief that we are one and one with God; those who reject such a belief are motivated by fear, separation, darkness and hatred.

Such New Ager Spiritualists seem insistent that any who would disagree and reject their notions, must be operating from such motives as listed above. They overlook the idea that we as Christians reject their notions because they are false, because they are not in accord with truth; they presume that they alone are the discoverers and wielders of truth, but we know that the Truth is a Person, Jesus Christ, the Word Incarnate, and that He is the inspirer of the Inspired Word, the Holy Scriptures. The Bible flatly denies pantheism and monism, two beliefs prominently displayed by these New Age spiritualists; we are not afraid of New Age beliefs, nor do we hate those who hold them, nor are we walking in darkness; but we are indeed separate from them, for we are not of the world as they are of the world (See: JOHN 15:18-25; 17:6, 9-10, 14-16; and 2 COR 6: 14-18).

JOHN 15:19; 17:14
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

2 COR 6:17
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

And in Williamson’s writings she states:

“The spiritual renaissance of our time is like a mystical revolution of human consciousness, a surge of energy from the subconscious of a species that registers threat yet is intent upon survival.”

“There is a new possibility in the air today, a miraculous awakening and a change in the way we live our lives. It is a spiritual renaissance with social and political implications.”

“We need to declare peace now, with as much serious effort and intention as that with which a nation declares war.”

“The bridge to a better world is a shift in mass consciousness.”

“When a particular group or structure fails to keep faith with the spirit of love – not measured by its words but by its actions – that structure then loses the privilege of guardianship of the great Work. The plan passes on to other groups or structures.”

“And we expand our perception of spiritual practice to include political activism, that we might profoundly extend our compassion to the world.”

“The Citizen Circle is a similar phenomenon, creating a mystical grid [occult] of new political possibility around the United States and the world. They help to ground the new political energy.”

Along with this Peace Alliance, there is a global counterpart known as The Alliance of Civilization, which calls for an Earth Charter for a United Earth and, like the United Nations holds dear the Great Invocation (Universal) prayer, something itself that was inspired by Alice Bailey.

From Constance Cumbey we have the following article:

“One prominent Earth Charter proponent, Maurice Strong, was quoted saying that the Earth Charter would become as important as the Ten Commandments. Conflicting histories have been given and it appears that it was in progress, per Maurice Strong, much earlier than the 1987 Brundtland Commission.

“The whole question of an Earth Charter was in fact on the UN Agenda at Rio. We didn't quite make it. We did make some progress. At the Stockholm Conference (which was the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in Stockholm in 1972), governments agreed to a historic declaration, which moved the world community towards what we now call an Earth Charter. Then, at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992, as the Secretary General of that conference, I challenged governments to produce an Earth Charter.”

And the Great Invocation, like Williamson’s books, speaks a great deal about ‘love’ and yet judging from the materials of Williamson and her colleagues, one must wonder what sort of ‘love’ are they talking about? And their version of ‘the Light’- what does this really refer to?

To read this New Age prayer, follow this link:

The Great Invocation

Here is the original version of this occult prayer:
Original 1945 Version
by Alice A Bailey & Djwhal Khul...

The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men -
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power
restore the Plan on Earth.

For an excellent expose on the glossary of terms used in this mystic/occult prayer, read the following research; once you click on the link directly below, scroll down to the Contents and click on chapter Nine. I would highly recommend you read the entire article however as it’s very good in explaining much about Bailey and her intentions and plan.

“A Scientific Analysis on the Writings of Alice Bailey and their Applications” by Dr. Robert Herrmann (note: TTUF does not necessarily endorse all of the writings and perspectives of Dr. Herrmann)

These New Age ideas and terms are not only finding their way in so-called ‘Christian’ (but in reality have always been present in Emergent dogma) materials, they are even showing up in some Bibles, most especially the euphemistically called the Message Bible! To review this, I refer you to this link:

Mystic Mess

Whether on a national basis, or a global one, the misnomer of peace, love and oneness is acquired by a belief in humanity as being a part of God will not create any genuine peace and love, much less oneness.

Certainly this will incite the false peace that the Scriptures speak about, a spiritual delusion led by the anti-Christ, inspired by the very spirit of Satan himself, but peace can only be experienced in its genuine form by acquiring peace with God through His grace bestowed and our LORD Jesus Christ and His shed blood at Calvary. See ROM 5:1; 3:25.

The love of God is likewise experienced by the reception of Jesus the Messiah of Israel, not some universal new age Christ that seeks the ‘salvation’ of mankind without the shedding of blood (HEB 9:22). See JOHN 14:20-22.

In regards to oneness, or ‘atonement’, we know that biblically speaking, we are made one with Christ in spiritual union upon placing our faith in the salvation Jesus offers, through His own shed blood, which is the genuine definition of “atonement” –

ROMANS 5:8-11
8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 “And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.”

16 “What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
17 “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.”

29For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Wayne Dyer, New Age spiritualist made a PBS special, post-September 11th in which he echoed his fellows: “. . . man’s problems arise from his belief that he is separate from the divine.” That we “are one with creation – that [we] are in fact, divine.” He insisted that the only problem is the mistaken belief that [we] are separate from [our] Source; he then quotes Shucman’s book, A Course in Miracles fluently to support this claim.

Apparently the God of all creation is unaware that His creatures are one with Him, for He declared in rather blunt terms –

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
(see also 64:7)

PSALM 5:4-5
For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

PSALM 11:5
The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
Psalm 11:7
For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

Such spiritual propaganda that extols this New Age ‘re-thinking’ which has permeated our society will make the political endorsement and ratification of a Department of Peace not only plausible, but likely; so the campaign for this would-be government sponsored, cabinet level organization pushes forward like a run away freight train filled with the cargo of mystical conviction.

Warren Smith comments:

“For years now, I have watched as New Age proponents like Marianne Williamson, Neale Donald Walsch, Benjamin Crème, Gary Zukav. Wayne Dryer, Barbara Marx Hubbard, and others have introduced the ‘Christ’ of the New Age/New Gospel through their books and public appearances. But prior to September 11th, it was usually theoretical, and most of them seemed only loosely identified with one another.

“After September 11th, everything moved into a much clearer prophetic perspective. It was extremely sobering to watch as these same individuals emerged on primetime television as part of a ‘global alliance’ that was introducing their New Age/New Gospel/New Spirituality as a means of achieving world peace.

Everything seemed to be coming together as the ‘God’ and ‘Christ’ of the New Age were starting to publicly introduce his ‘alternative to Armageddon’ as the only way to a true and lasting peace.”

Warren Smith continues his book FALSE CHRIST COMING – Does Anybody Care? with the chapter 8, The Armageddon Alternative, and chapter, The New Age Doctrine of Separation; due to the length of this article, I will forego addressing these two chapters, and would encourage the reader to acquire a copy of this book for their own use.

I would like to finish this article with chapter 10, the Silent Church, but before I do, let me first introduce a series (a total of 11 parts; please be patient as the video quality is not as good as one might wish) on the New Age Movement from the John Ankerberg Show when he had Dave Hunt and Johanna Michaelson on the program dealing with this movement.

Be aware of the fact that this show originally aired in the mid 80s; that’s about thirty years ago, and will give you an idea on how to track the progress and advancement of this movement. Indeed, it has come a long way, and growing exponentially in attaining global recognition and empowerment.

– The New Age Movement w/ John Ankerberg, Dave Hunt and Johanna Michaelsen: Part Three

– The New Age Movement w/ John Ankerberg, Dave Hunt and Johanna Michaelsen: Part Four

In Part Four (above) Ankerberg asked Dave Hunt, “How do all these different religions come together to form this one world religion? What will bring them together?”

I believe that the mystical experiences attained in various forms of occult meditation techniques (yoga, transcendental meditation, etc.) will be the glue to cement this world religion together, these practices that are orchestrated by “seducing spirits” (1 TIM 4:1); one of these disciplines is known as contemplative prayer/meditation and is taking Christendom by storm.

I firmly believe this is the answer to Mr. Ankerberg’s insightful question. The following article from The RED PILL Consortium is based on a book by Ray Yungen: For Many Shall Come In My Name –

The Global Glue of a Unified Spirituality

(Also some other articles from RED PILL on Contemplative Prayer:
Contemplative Prayer - part 1
Contemplative Prayer - part 2)

Now to resume the series of links on The New Age Movement:

– The New Age Movement w/ John Ankerberg, Dave Hunt and Johanna Michaelsen: Part Six

– The New Age Movement w/ John Ankerberg, Dave Hunt and Johanna Michaelsen: Part Seven

– The New Age Movement w/ John Ankerberg, Dave Hunt and Johanna Michaelsen: Part Ten

– The New Age Movement w/ John Ankerberg, Dave Hunt and Johanna Michaelsen: Part Eleven

I am intrigued that these videos reveal the essentials of the New Age movement, the influences behind it, and that which it itself has influenced; what astounding is that for these few decades the church has been aware of this movement, has to some degree tracked its progress, and as well as this, some have witnessed its migration into the church via the Emergent Church Movement, and STILL for all of this, many pastors, teachers, leaders of the church have failed in their calling with respect to warning and protecting the LORD’s sheep from this seduction.

This concludes this video presentation; we now resume with the last section of this article.

“How can we explain the rapid rise of the New Age/New Gospel/New Spirituality movement with hardly a word of concern within the church about what’s been happening?” asks Warren Smith.
Since 9-11 the various leaders of the New Age have stepped up the pace in exposing their teachings to the general public in best selling books and televised programming, yet the church remains silent.

Prior to the atrocities of the Holocaust, Hitler wrote extensively in his book Mein Kampf in describing his intentions for Germany and the Jews. Anyone who bothered to read his writings would know in advance his ‘game plan’; and while many did read Hitler’s book, very few, too few took his writings seriously.

The LORD Jesus Himself never wrote a book, but those He inspired, and quotes from Him as recorded in the Gospels declare that a tremendous deception would come and characterize the scenario known as the last days, that being that a man would take center stage in the world in Hitleresque fashion, and that many so-called Christians would support him in his global government!

Smith states: “Our adversary wants us to believe that these warnings are for another people at another time. Yet through scripture, and in our heart of hearts, the Spirit of God tells us that they are not. As we study the Bible, and as we watch and pray and observe the events all around us, we come to understand that these future times described by Jesus are now suddenly and undeniably upon us.”

Further he states that Christian leaders and their churches are beginning to sound and act more like their New Age adversaries, even going to far as becoming “recommended sources” endorsed by New Agers (like Barbara Marx Hubbard), and belonging to some of the same organizations (like the World Future Society).

“. . . many Christian leaders today [are] using many of the same words and expressions commonly used by their New Age/New Gospel counterparts. One so-called Christian pastor parrots perfectly the perditious prattle of the New Age proponents that ‘re-think’ the concept of the atonement, stripping it of its biblical meaning and replacing it with a more suitable, more comfortable New Age definition. FROM the MIND of FIRE has an article entitled Holy Relics where I quote Harry Emerson Fosdick:

"Jesus suffered as a substitute for us" because of our sins "is a precivilized barbarity." And also:

"Too many theories of the atonement assume that by one single high priestly act of self-sacrifice Christ saved the world. These legalistic theories of the atonement are in my judgment a theological disgrace.” Harry Emerson Fosdick, pastor of Riverside Church, NYC

Mr. Fosdick is incorrect in his assertion that the blood atonement is merely a theological theory. When theologians make conjecture based on scriptural observation, that can certainly be considered theory and this would include musings and surmise on the part of such liberal theologians as Mr. Fosdick himself.

Yet the blood atonement is a deeply biblical doctrine that is stated in repleted fashion throughout the Bible. 'Atonement' occurs 81 times in 70 distinct verses in the KJV.

EXOD 29:36,; 32:30, LEV 4:20; 6:7, NUM 6:11; 15:25-28;

ROM 5:11
And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

EPH 2:13; HEB 9:14; 1 PETER 1:2, 19; 1 JOHN 1:7

REV 1:5
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood

Other ‘buzz words’ that New Agers use with mantra-like regularity that are also heard on the lips of more and more Christians are such as these (taken from Greg Reid’s book, Trojan Church):

“Actualize, actualization, aligning, alignment, at-one-ment, be still, center, centering, change agent, (the) Christ Spirit, Christ consciousness, coach, common ground, consciousness shift, contemplative, convergence, consensus [building], deconstruction, destiny, dialogue[ing], diverse[ity], (the) divine (within), doomsday [theology], dream, finding/fulfilling your dream, God’s Dream, empowering, emergent, emergence, enlightenment, evolutionary, evolutionary shift, finding your center, getting aligned with God, global (shift), Global Village, God is in all things (pantheism), [guided] visualization, imagine, imagination, inclusive, intentions, [missional], mystical, new reformation, paradigm, planetary, Planetary Pentecost, quantum leap, quantum shift, re-imagining, reframing, relational, re-thinking, self-actualization/realization, shift, soul force, source, team player, the One, transformation, transformative, tolerance, transcendent, transcendence, unity in diversity, universe, ultimate/universal reality, vision (casting/quest), world peace, World Citizen, World Servers.”

Greg Reid comments: “There are a growing number of Christians who are making frequent use of these terms without knowing where they come from or what they mean in the New Age or occult world. Even though some of these words have innocent usage in a Christian framework, most of them are in fact rooted in New Age and occult teachings, philosophies, and are in clear opposition to biblical truth.

A word like “transformation” for a believer is a biblical one, based on scriptural principles: i.e., “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” But the New Age meaning of “transformative” and “transformational” is about a cosmic shift in thinking in order to reach “the divine within”. Trojan Church, p. 34

Warren Smith asks another vital question: “Are Christian leaders leading the church ever closer to the cross or ever closer o the ‘planetary Pentecost’? Why is there almost no call for spiritual discernment within the church (except to warn believers NOT to be deceived into doubting their appointed Christian leaders)?

“Why us spiritual experience taking precedence over spiritual discernment? Why are there so few warnings about a counterfeit New Age/New Spirituality movement that maligns the person of Jesus Christ and threatens the lives of His followers? Why is this ‘new revelation’ in many ministries starting to supersede God’s written Word [such as the New Apostolic Reformation or N.A.R.]?

“Expecting only revival and the return of the true Christ, will people calling themselves Christians be deceived by the one who will come in the name of Christ and pretend to be Him? Caught unawares, will they mistake the counterfeit Christ’s Planetary Pentecost for the great ‘move of God’ they had been told to expect? Is this all a set up for the great delusion described in the Bible? Is there any good reason to not at least consider the possibility?”

Having considered the trends and movements of various churches, church ministries and para-church functions and organizations towards a more ‘Emergent-friendly’ and ‘socially relevant’ mind set, I don’t think this is a possibility as much as it is a probability; a likelihood that I believe will soon find its way into the very fabric of society. A society in which any church that doesn’t conform to the dictates and policies outlined by the soon-to-come Department of Peace will suffer consequences.

Perhaps, initially some fines and then a revoking of a church’s tax exempt status, and eventually leading to the arrest of church pastors and leaders, and closing the doors of that church in violation to Federal law under the edicts of the Department of Peace.

What sort of edicts, dictates and policies do I suspect will make biblical churches the targets for this New Age-driven Cabinet level body?

Any church that would proclaim the Gospel as the only hope for mankind; that Jesus Christ is the only Way to God the Father; that the Bible itself is the exclusive source for spiritual truth and the very Word of God to the exclusion of all other religious books; the warnings of the last days, the Armageddon and end of the world scenarios, the Second Coming of Christ, any and all of these would prove a violation of this yet future organization, in my view.

Warren Smith concludes this chapter with another poignant question:

“Could it be that the reason the Church is so unaware of the New Age/New Gospel movement is because it is being led by that same spirit and heading down that same broad way (MATT 7:13-14)? Is it happening now, right in front of our very own eyes?”

That same spirit will bring about and manifest “great signs and wonders” (MATT 24:24) and accompany the deceiver, this world leader who himself will be the fulcrum of this spiritual deception with the aid of these lying, seducing spirits and doctrines of demons.

Smith says, “[Jesus] told us this was going to happen and that we had better be ready. But the Church today is not ready. Ignorant of our adversary’s schemes, we don’t contend for the faith because we don’t seem to realize that someone is trying to steal our faith away from us. Ignorant of our adversary’s schemes, we have become vulnerable to those schemes.

"People calling themselves Christians expecting only revival and a Kingdom of God on earth may be shocked to suddenly find themselves in the middle of great delusion, facing the anti-Christ instead . . . [as] someone who came out of New Age teachings, I have been deeply saddened by the Church’s apathy about what is going on, Christian ‘leadership’ has largely ignored and discounted the prophetic significance of the New Age/New Spirituality deception that is so prevalent all around us. To speak of ‘revival’ and ‘blessings’ and ‘breakthroughs’ will not prepare believers for the persecution and tribulation that may soon take place.

“[Jesus] said if the world called Him ‘Beezlebub’ or ‘Satan’ it would call His followers [by these names] too (MATT 10:25). He said that because the world hated and persecuted Him, it would hate and persecute His followers also. And He said that following Him – particularly in the end days – could very well mean the loss of your life.”

Our Good Shepherd did not warn us with these words to frighten us; He wasn’t being ‘negative’, He was simply being compassionate enough to provide such warnings as these so that we could expect them when the time came, that we wouldn’t be caught off guard and “offended because of the word” due to tribulation or persecution:

MATT 13:20-21
But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

The phrase “hath no root in himself” is quite telling; Jesus Himself is referred to as the Root of David, and for these with “stony places” in their hearts, areas of hard heartedness, the LORD Jesus never takes His rightful place and established in such a person’s life. These half-committed, quasi-Christian kind of people will rejoice in the time of blessing and happiness, but when trials, tribulations or persecution assault them, they bail, confessing that they “didn’t sign up for this” and renounce any such commitment.

We are indeed living in perilous times, spiritually speaking because of the rampant deception that is insidiously creeping into every church and fellowship, and as a result of this deception, those who remain loyal to God’s Truth will be ostracized and persecuted in an even greater peril.

We must remain vigilant, watchful, prayerful, studying the scripture and be ready to answer any and all the reason for the hope that is in us. Please keep your church leaders in prayer, that God would empower them by His grace and His Spirit to remain faithful to the Word, both in teaching and in practice and fulfill their roles as God’s shepherds over His flock, both in feeding of the Word and in warning the sheep of these perilous times.

Are You Holding On To Biblical Truth? The Spiritual Deception Of The Last Days

by A.M. Kisly

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. " ~Psalm 119:105

Have you wondered why so many Christians are falling prey to false teachers and damnable heresies? I have. More and more, it seems, churches and those professing Christianity are being driven more by the culture and the various philosophies of postmodernism than by the eternal truth of God’s Word.

I once heard an old sermon given by A.W. Tozer, I'll paraphrase what he said: Now there are a very few things in the world that matter very much, and there are still fewer things that are matters of life and death. There are a few however, that are not only important, they are vitally, critically important. For instance a compass to a sea journey. If you start out an a journey on the sea without a compass, the chances are a million to one that you will sail around in circles until you perish. It takes a compass to cross the ocean! The captain that would take a vessel out into the ocean without a compass, he is not gambling, he is committing suicide and murder. When it comes to crossing the ocean, you have got to be right or you will be dead. Truly we cannot navigate through life without the compass of the Word of God. For without it we are doomed to perish, and with it we will never be lost.

Unfortunately, many of today's Christians navigate through life on the coat tails of other Christians, authors, or by feelings and experiences. The Bible, if not totally disregarded, is being used as nothing more than a collection of quaint sayings and cute children's stories. The Bible is being abandoned as absolute authority and rule for our lives. In exchange, they consume, embrace and defend their most treasured "Christian" novels and bestsellers saturated with every strange wind of New Age heresy and postmodern thought.

The most grave crisis facing the church today is the subtle downgrading of the Bible as the infallible and inerrant truth of God for which Christians must faithfully heed.

The scriptures tell us as we have received Christ we are to walk in Him, and our lives are to be deeply rooted and grounded, and established in the faith.

Colossians 2:6-8 states, "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Romans 10:17, "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

I found a short article this week that discusses the cause of "Spiritual Deception". The following excerpts were written by a pastor from the UK. I would encourage you to read it as it discusses how vital the Word of God is to the believer. Like the Psalm says, "Thy WORD is a LAMP unto my feet and a LIGHT unto my path." As believers, I pray that we do not neglect it, ignore it, nor disregard it's TRUTHS. Those that do will be lost as surely as the captain who sails without a compass.

Are You Holding On To Truth or falling into the Spiritual Deception Of The Last Days? - Gary Hall

Spiritual deception is the result of not following or obeying the Word of God. When a believer adopts any thought, doctrine, or practice which is contrary to God’s written word then he enters into the spiritual darkness of heresy and deception.

This is especially true in relation to the Last Days. It seems that spiritual deception and a departure from the true “faith once delivered to the saints” (Jude :3) will increase as we approach the final days. This is because Satan and his hordes know that their “time is short” (Revelation 12:12) to win as many souls as possible. These souls include believers in Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect” (Matthew 24:24). If it were not possible to deceive the very elect then Jesus would have not bothered to state this. The apostle Paul tells us that the last day Church will be invaded by teachings originating in Hell, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils” (1 Timothy 4:1).

Not only has Satan sent false Christs into the world to capture the hearts of those who do not know the true God and Saviour, but he has also commissioned deceivers, false brethren (Galatians 2:4) to promote a form of Christianity to seduce believers who do not abide in God’s written word. We live in an age when “false prophets” have arisen and are showing many “great signs and wonders”. Those, of the modern Pentecostal and Charismatic movements are being duped by signs, wonders, and false miracles performed by the latest superstar to come onto the scene. They fail to acknowledge Paul’s warning about this very thing when he said, “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works” (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). They fail to be Bereans who “searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so” (Acts 17:11), and so allow “wolves in sheep’s clothing” (Matthew 7:15) to minister a corrupted gospel to them. These teachers are really “ravening” and “grievous wolves” who do not care for the people in the least, but instead speak “perverse things, to draw away disciples after them” (Acts 20:29-30). At the root of the deception is “mammon” (Matthew 6:24) for they “through covetousness shall with feigned words make merchandise” of their followers (2 Peter 2:3). This is a perfect description of the Wealth and Health preachers of today.

The Lord Jesus asks, “When the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8). The devil’s work of deception operating within the Church is so fashioned to destroy the faith of many through false prophets, false teachers, false brethren, and false bibles. He desires to destroy a person’s faith in the eternal word of God. Many of our Churches no longer want to “endure sound doctrine” but would rather listen to foolish stories and receive “pep-talks” on various carnal subjects. The apostle Paul writes in 2 Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables”. Few want to hear a preacher of righteousness speaking about true faith, against sin, and about Hell. It seems that we live in a day when fabulous tales and exaggerated experiences are more to the liking of Christians than the pure word of the Lord. These people think that they no longer need to be rebuked and exhorted “with all longsuffering and doctrine” (2 Timothy 4:2). In general today’s churchgoer wants sermons that do not demand anything from them or causes them to consider their own souls. They will not accept a call to repentance, obedience, or commitment. They love their false teachers. Jeremiah explains, “The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?” (5:31). Preachers that make them feel uncomfortable in their sin and compromise are usually labeled ‘legalistic’ or ‘doom and gloom’. This willful ignorance of God’s word has caused them to open both their churches and their hearts to “lying spirits, and doctrines of devils” that have seduced them from Christ so that now their minds and consciences are “seared with a hot iron” (1 Timothy 4:1-2). No wonder Jesus asks if He will find true faith when He returns!

We can see that the “falling away” (2 Thessalonians 2:3) or departure “from the faith” is not that there will be less people attending church, but that fewer of them will be able to distinguish between what is true and what is false. The greatest spiritual battle for the souls of men is taking place within the church not outside of it. The Last Days are clearly here when we see such personal and denominational apostasy at an all time high because of the infiltration of perverted and distorted gospels promoted by compromising preachers and pastors. Nevertheless, there will always be God’s faithful remnant who will never bow their knee alongside the prophets of Baal.

The believer has protection from such deception. This involves being totally loyal and faithful to God and His inspired word. Added to this we must realize that deception can enter at any level, so that even a sound preacher can become deceived and promote a mixture of truth and error. Such awareness has to be united with a desire to obey only that which is contained in God’s written word and to have our lives sanctified through it, “Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy word is truth” (John 17:17), and to walk in righteousness. Throughout the Bible the Holy Spirit warns us to stay faithful to God’s word, even if it means being persecuted for doing so, “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them” (2 Timothy 3:12-14). It is our duty to stand firm with the “Sword of the Spirit” in our hand (Ephesians 6:17). We need to be like Eleazar who fought the Philistines “until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword” or like Shammah who defended a field of lentils against the Philistines (2 Samuel 23:9-12). Our “Philistines” are the false teachers and false doctrines, therefore we need to “fight the good fight of faith” (1 Timothy 6:12).

Standing for truth and righteousness will involve separation from people, churches, and ministries who deny the Scriptures in word or in practice, and who preach a compromising message. The apostle Paul says that they may appear like good Christians but by “denying the power thereof” they prove themselves false, therefore we should “turn away” from them (2 Timothy 3:5). We must remind ourselves that we bring a curse into our lives when we associate with anything that twists, adds or takes away from God’s word, “If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:9). This separation from falsehood is of vital importance if we are to be kept free from spiritual deception. Again, the Lord encourages us to “come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you” (2 Corinthians 6:17).

Loyalty to Scripture and seeking out faithful ministers is needful for the days we are living in. By doing so, prayerfully and watchfully, we can be assured of close fellowship with Christ. This calls for abiding in the word of God every day of our lives and neither looking to the left or the right of it. It means “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2). We do not need new doctrines, practices, or experiences. What will cause us to “endure to the end” (Matthew 24:13) is a solid Scriptural foundation and an undivided commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand” (John 10:27-28). Our safeguard against false doctrine and apostasy is found in obedience to the Scriptures, by taking it alone as our firm foundation and standard for faith and practice.

The final authority must always be God’s written word! If it is not clearly in the Bible then the teaching must not be entertained for a moment. The Lord said, “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:3-7). We will protect ourselves therefore by keeping our lives (both physical and spiritual) within the confines of the word of God, by yielding to His direction and guidance, and by being in a constant state of watchfulness and prayerfulness because we know that our “adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). ~ Pastor Gary Hall

A Look at Warren Smith’s Updated Book, “False Christ Coming: Does Anybody Care?”
~~ By James Fire

Neale Donald Walsch, former radio talk show host, public relations professional and long time metaphysical seeker once wrote God a letter – an angry letter! He was amazed to get a response from ‘God’ through an inner voice (interesting how all of these New Agers receive ‘new’ revelation from an ‘inner voice’). As Neale began to write down answers to all of the questions he asked of ‘God’, this commenced a journey that lasted several years and these sessions were eventually published in book form, entitled Conversations with God: Book I in 1995 that began a series of best-sellers with the same name, read by not thousands or tens of thousands, but by millions of people! Every one has a basic understanding of good and evil, based upon our human conscience which is universal regardless of culture, education, social environment, etc. Almost every one would agree that the nadir of nefarious evil is personified in the person of Adolf Hilter. Yet according to Walsch’s ‘God’:

“. . . Hitler didn’t hurt any one. In a sense, he didn’t inflict suffering, he ended it.”

Also: “Hitler went to heaven.”

Neale’s ‘God’ develops the idea that man is not subject to God, because man is God. There are no rules or right and wrong because man, as God, is his own ‘rule-maker’. Because God and man are one, it’s therefore up to humanity to determine what God wants to do. Everything is relative.

Some statements made by ‘God’ according to Walsch:

“All of your life you have been told that God created you. I come now to tell you this: You are creating God.”

“Think, speak and act as the God that You Are.”

“Your future is creatable. Create is as you want it.”

This ‘God’ doesn’t merely endorse books like Hubbard’s Revelation and Helen Shucman’s A Course In Miracles, he claims to have inspired them:

“God: This is called conscious evolution, and your species has just arrived there.”

“Walsch: Wow, that’s an incredible insight. That’s why You gave Barbara Marx Hubbard that book! As I said, she actually called it Conscious Evolution.”

“God: Of course she did. I told her to.”

And also: “God: All attack is a call for help.”

“Walsch: I read that in A Course In Miracles.”

“God: I put it there.”

Walsch’s ‘God’ insists that the only real sin that exists in the world is the belief that man sees himself as sinful and “separate from God” and also that the only devil or Satan is the separatist thinking that differentiates between man and God – “that only as humanity sees through the illusion of ‘separation’ and ‘sin’ and affirms its own godliness and oneness with all creation, will the planet be saved from ultimate ruin.”

“In truth, there is no such thing as a “sinner” for no one can be sinned against – least of all, Me.”

“The twenty-first century will be the time of awakening, of meeting The Creator Within. Many beings will experience Oneness with God and with all life . . . There are many such people in the world now – teachers and messengers, Masters and visionaries – who are placing the vision before humankind and offering tools with which to create it.

These messengers and visionaries are the heralds on a New Age.”

It’s reasonable to understand that the power (not authority) of any government to enforce its will is in its military might. Therefore if the government endorses any body or movement, it can provide militant strength to subdue any resistance against that which it supports.

What if the government were to endorse the writings, beliefs and the plan of “peace and love” as conceived by these “New Age Heralds” and the ‘God’ that inspired them?

Neale Walsch’s ‘God’ makes the following statement:

“This is why all spirituality is ultimately political. You cannot avoid politicizing your spirituality. Your political viewpoint is your spirituality, demonstrated.”

“Yet perhaps it’s not a matter of politicizing your spirituality, but of spiritualizing your politics.”

“God: Something will have to be new if you wish your world to change. You must begin to see someone else’s interests as your own. This will happen only when you reconstruct your global reality and govern yourselves accordingly.”

“Walsch: Are you talking about a one-world government?”

“God: I am. Go therefore and teach ye all nations, spreading far and wide The New Gospel: WE ARE ALL ONE.”

More radical statements made by Walsch’s ‘God’: “The act of Adam and Eve was not original sin, but in truth, first blessing.” (CWG, Bk 1. p.56)

On aliens: “Walsch: Are you telling me that beings from outer space are helping us with that?”

“God: Indeed. They are among you now, many of them. They have been helping for years. The time will come when your fear will subside, and then they will reveal themselves to you. Some of them have already done so – with a handful of people.” (CWG, Bk. 2, p.239)

On the new world order:

“There have been those leaders among you who have been insightful enough and brave enough to propose the beginnings of such a new world order. Your George Bush [Sr.] . . . a man of far greater wisdom, compassion and courage . . . was such a leader. So was Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev.” (CWG Bk. 2. p.199)

More on Hitler and Death:

“Walsch: . . . How could a man like Hitler have gone to heaven? . . . Everyone declared him condemned and sent straight to hell.”

“God: “First, he could not have gone to hell because hell does not exist. Therefore, there is only one place left he could have gone. But that begs the question. The real issue is whether Hitler’s actions were ‘wrong’. Yet I have said over and over again that there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ in the universe. A thing is not intrinsically right or wrong, a thing simply is.

"Now, your thought that Hitler was a monster is based on the fact that he ordered the killing of millions of people, correct?”

“Walsch: Obviously, yes.”

“God: Yet what if I told you that what you call ‘death’ is the greatest thing that could happen to anyone – what then?”

“Every aspect of divinity has co-creative control over its destiny. Therefore you cannot kill a mosquito against its will. At some level, the mosquito has chosen that. All of the change in the universe occurs with the consent of the universe itself, in various forms. The universe cannot disagree with itself. That is impossible.” (FWG, p.371)

What incredible justification this will provide for those who adhere to such New Age ideas which demands that that which sees itself as ‘separate from God and from each other because of sin’ must be “selected” and “purified”!

If such people, as biblical Christians who hold fast to the form of sound words as found exclusively in the Bible, the Word of God are then ‘selected’ and ‘purified’ by those who conduct their actions with governmental sanction and with the approval of the New Age ‘God’, they will have no reason for guilt or remorse as such biblical Christians simply “chose” such ‘selection’ and ‘purification’ for themselves!

For a great expose on Neale's pantheistic New Age (vain) philosophy, watch this video:

Neale Walsch: Finding God on a Legal Pad?

Other New Age leaders and advocates such as Benjamin Crème, Wayne Peterson and Maitreya have similarly shocking and deplorable things to say, all justified by their New Age ‘God’:

Wayne Peterson, a director of the U.S. Government’s Fullbright Scholarship Program and former Peace Corps volunteer and veteran American diplomat as a little boy suffered a life threatening illness, during which time, he claims he was visited by Mary, the mother of Jesus who told the little sick fellow that he would live to see the Christ come into the world.

Later as an adult, he was watching a television program in which Benjamin Crème was speaking about the Christ, and was holding up a book for all to see, The Reappearance of the Christ and the Masters of Wisdom, and informed the television audience that “The one that Christians call the Christ [but now referred to as ‘Maitreya] had reappeared and was living in a major industrial city in the Western World.”

Crème further stated that Maitreya was bringing a large group of his disciples, highly advanced, spiritual men called the Masters of Wisdom and that we could expect to hear from him very soon. His mission is to “help humanity realize our own innate divinity through learning to live in right relationship as brothers and sisters of one great family.”

Peterson ordered the book written by Crème and read it avidly, learning that these ‘Masters of Wisdom’ are helping humanity to evolve and that these would be more and more openly collaborating with world leaders in all fields and disciplines.

Peterson relates an insight from Crème’s book:

“I learned more about the Christ – the World Teacher whose name is Maitreya, the one awaited by all the major religions; Christians awaited the return of Christ, Buddhists for the next Buddha, Muslims for the Imam Mahdi, Hindu’s for the reincarnation of Krishna, and the Jews for the Messiah.

These are all different names for the same individual . . . who is not a religious leader but a teacher for all humanity.”

Benjamin Crème states, “. . . the Christ is not the name of an individual but of an Office in the Hierarchy. The present holder of that Office, the Lord Maitreya, has held it for 2,600 years, and manifested in Palestine through His disciple, Jesus, by the occult method of overshadowing, the most frequent form used for the manifestation of Avatars.”

‘Overshadowing’ is a euphemism for the demonic spiritual influence and or possession of a person; an Avatar is the inhabitation of a god within a human (sometimes animal) being.

Peterson relates how he himself encountered Maitreya and his spiritual energies via Transmission Meditation: a process that would accelerate the time when Maitreya and His Ancient masters would be able to manifest themselves to the world.

Peterson recalls the words of Maitreya when he spoke to him and said:

“The Master is within you. If you follow the disciplines of life the Teacher teaches you, the Master reveals himself within you. Do not be attached to the human form. The living truth is a matter of experience.”

Peterson, for all his experiences, was startled when he discovered that many of his colleagues in government and diplomatic circles, as well as World Leaders, who are house hold names (like Mikhail Gorbachev, whose own wife traveled to India in order to meet the Avatar known as Sai Baba; Nelson Mandela is another who claims to have had direct involvement with Maitreya, as well as David Rockefeller), were likewise visited by these “elder brothers of humanity, custodians of the Divine Plan for our evolution” and Maitreya himself, and as a result, have committed to cooperating with them.

In esoteric circles, and specifically in the Theosophical Society, the recognition of ‘the god of this world’ as being the god called Sanat is taken for granted; how intriguing that this is an anagram for Satan!

Alice Bailey, matriarch of the Theosophical Society, has channeled many messages from her spirit guide Dwhjal Khul, who had some interesting things to say about Sanat:

“All the qualities, the love and the purpose of a supreme Entity, referred to in the New Testament as the ‘Unknown god’ are focused in Sanat Kumara.” From The Rays and the Initiations.

This certainly does violation to the text as found in ACTS 17:23; Paul was in Athens and observed that the Athenians were “too superstitious” and wanted to preach about the true Creator God who inspired the Holy Scriptures and revealed Himself through the Person of His Son, Jesus the Christ, yet God was unknown to these pagans; therefore seeing this altar, he used it as a launching point to declare the God of the Scriptures in opposition to the false gods and idols that were worshipped by all in that city – See ACTS 17:22–34.

“Each ray quality will serve to implement the expression of pure love, which is the essential quality of the Lord of this World, Sanat Kumara.”

“In the coming age many, many people will see God as Sanat Kumara and take the Third Initiation (even more will come before the Christ and take the first and second Initiations). When you take the Third Initiation you see God as Sanat Kumara, the Lord of the World.”

Benjamin Crème speaking by his spirit guide.

Maitreya, the Christ’s Four fold purposes are to 1) Help humanity to remember and experience their oneness with God and with each other. 2) Bring peace to the world through his reappearance or “return”. 3) Introduce and oversee radically progressive economic, environmental, political, spiritual, and humanitarian projects around the world. 4) Lead mankind to the feet of the “Father”, Sunat Kumara, who is described as being the “Lord of the World.”

“Lord of this world” easily translates as “the god of this world” which the Bible indicates is Satan whose objective certainly is to blind minds in order to preclude them from salvation by receiving the light of the Gospel of Christ.

2 COR 4:4

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

These teachings from Maitreya and the channelings of Benjamin Crème, as well as the other New Age leaders that “we are all one, one global ‘body of Christ’” is categorically denied by the scriptures themselves which declare the body of Christ was formed by Jesus (not a ‘Master of Sanat, but the Word made flesh!!)

Christ and His own atonement on the Cross; there is one faith (referring to the authoritative Scriptures as the singular source of God breathed Truth) and as a result of believing God’s Word, the Gospel and the LORD Jesus Christ’s propitiatory sacrifice one is baptized into the body of Christ Jesus, apart from this world of human souls that stand in opposition to the Gospel and the Truth of the Word:

EPH 2:13-14,15

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

EPH 4:4-6

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

In this new paradigm shift that is being steered to a large degree by this increasingly ratified New Age/Spirituality Movement promises a reign of peace, but there is likewise talk of ‘selection’ and ‘purification’ of those who refuse to adhere to their philosophies and religion.

Fabian and Marxist Socialists likewise have always understood that for a new world to be born there must be much blood shed. We know that the Beast will reveal himself as a man of peace, but it will be a grand deception; he will reveal himself for what he is once he has seized full power, but then later rejected by Israel as their Messiah.

He will not only oppose peace, but the very Prince of Peace Himself! Israel herself will strive in vain to believe that peace is present, as will the world at large, but be deceived by such desires.

JER 8:11

For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

DAN 8:25

And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

1 THESS 5:3

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

The third purpose as revealed by Crème for Maitreya is to introduce and oversee radically progressive economic, environmental, political, spiritual and humanitarian projects.
We are certainly hearing “progressive” a lot today in the news, and in speeches by Obama and on down; when you hear that word, think ‘socialism’ because that’s what it is!
If you should doubt this, do a google search on the term “progressive” and see for your self.

An excellent site I use regularly has much information on ‘progressive’ forces in government, and politics specifically, economics, education, even religion.

Here is a link for ‘progressive’ I have included from their search engine: Crossroad ministry’s search results on ‘Progressive

Warren Smith observes that in the New Age movement, there are “thousands of ways to God”, a mantra that Oprah Winfrey has chanted many times on her show, and that “all truth is God’s truth”; there is the smug, relativistic expression used by such New Ages, “Well, that’s your truth!”

These very ideas dismantle the very definition of what truth is, even on an ontological basis (ontology expresses, What is, really is) and that there is no such thing as evil, no such thing as lies, no such thing as deception, no such thing as error; that ‘truth is in the eye of the beholder’, that truth is found within.

It’s impossible to make a mistake or be deceived!

However, as Frank Peretti once said so eloquently, “If you’re searching for truth, don’t look within your self, you’re the one who’s confused!”

Yet the scriptures, especially in the prophetic warnings recorded therein, speak much about deception in the last days; just in MATTHEW 24, the LORD Jesus Himself warns about deception in the last days (which are upon us now) four times.

Paul the Apostle declares in connection with the coming of the anti-Christ:

2 THESS 2:9-10,12

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2Th 2:11
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

For every furnishing that God has provided, Satan has produced a counterfeit and bestowed them in their culmination to the New Age movement – they have their own ‘Word of God’ given to their New Age prophets who all hear ‘the Voice’ and record their writings in these ‘new revelations’; they have their new Gospel which carries no substitutionary death by the blood of a Savior who would take upon himself the sins of the world; they have their own prayer disciplines via meditation techniques, and their own ‘church’ comprised of enlightened, evolved citizens of the World who submit (and will submit) to this Sanat Kumara or Satan, thinly disguised.

See – MATT 24: 24; 1 TIM 4:1; 2 COR 11:4,13-15; GAL 1:6-7 and also:

1 JOHN 4:1-3

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

A Response to: The Coming Collapse – A Rising False Hope

~~ By James Fire

Previously on TTUF Anne Kisly wrote our most recent article whose title is mentioned above. This is a response to that article which I wholly endorse, and like most of you, have read with some measure of trepidation, but have begun to seek the LORD for answers, guidance, counsels and comfort.

In Anne’s article, she said:
“This morning I received a newsletter from, The American Spectator, an online news source that features opinions, reviews of social, political, economical and world events.

"The newsletter stated that it had an important message from Stansberry Research, a financial market analysis group which offers investment advice and publishes a range of investment news. Stansberry Research is one of the top Investment Research firms in the U.S. and around the world. This important video message presents a warning about the coming economic collapse in America.

"It is a long video, one that you will feel the urge to turn off in the beginning as he explains his many reasons for making such a video, but hang in there the rest of the presentation is well documented and thoroughly explained, and will be posted at the end of this article. Also, at the end of this message, he offers some short term advice in the event of a severe economic crisis, and long term financial advice. "The short-term advice is good advice in any crisis. However, I am not advocating any advice he may offer to protect your money towards the end of this message. That decision is between you and the Lord. "I am simply warning about the economic tsunami heading our way, and how that relates to Biblical prophecy. Whether or not this crisis actually happens I still believe that it is wise to be forewarned. Jesus warned us in the scriptures. The weathermen warn us of a coming hurricane, tornado or tsunami.”

Towards the end of the article she posted the Stansberry report link, and I will post it in this second article as well, below; while this video is rather long, and somewhat tedious in places, I believe we need to sit up and take notice of what this man is saying. His reasoning is sound, his forecast is potentially accurate (albeit frightening) and his financial counsel seems quite reasonable:

Like Anne, I also have been hearing rather disturbing news regarding our government, our economy and the affairs of State (see link below) in our once beloved nation that was so blessed by the very same God that most people today spurn, and Whose Word we utterly reject.

Instead we have sown sinful lifestyles, thumbed our collective noses at the Almighty, and arrogantly lived self-centered lives as proud Americans who are (virtually) untouched by adversity and woe – so far!

But the day is coming when we shall most certainly reap what we have sown!

HOSEA 8:7
For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not

Our State of Affairs Nationally

More than fifteen years ago after we made our move to Tucson (which was two years prior to this point) some friends that made the journey from New York to Arizona and I were researching something we had been hearing about, but didn’t really know much – that is the now well known phrase and phenomena, “The New World Order”. We had heard George Herbert Walker Bush’s speech that included this phrase when he spoke before the Congress at the beginning of our first war in Iraq (Operation Desert Storm/Shield) and how a coalition (supposedly) of nations worked together to bring down the aggression of Iraq pertaining to its conquest of Kuwait (a behind the scenes history of this event tells quite a different picture than the story F.P.C. (For Public Consumption) but it would take too long to relate here.

Since that initial mention in Bush’s speech, someone counted the number of times the former President said that phrase, and supposedly this numbered in the hundreds! Yet that phrase is loaded with meaning, and it certainly did not originate with Bush Sr. who spoke also of “a thousand points of light connected to service”, another well known phrase for those who do the research into esoteric societies.

I’m speaking of Alice Bailey and the Theosophical Society (I’ve written a TTUF profile on Bailey and should you wish to read this, type “Bailey” into the TTUF search engine to access all three of them).

In this link below you can read on one page all the information it took me and my friends some years to uncover, and come to the understanding that these phrases of a “new world order” and “a thousand points of light” were not random statements made by Bush Sr. but code words, in effect, packed with esoteric and ‘enlightened’ meaning:

The New World Order

"Earlier in this century, Alice Bailey introduced the idea of 'Points of Light' and 'Light Groups' to channel the 'higher spiritual forces' necessary to build the New Age, and to form what is known in the jargon as a 'group soul'. Today there are many such groups which are working in a highly organized way towards the bringing in of the future Golden Age on earth...” Heeding Bible Prophecy – Understanding Satan’s Plan

Needless to say after digging up all of this information, we became extremely overwhelmed by it all, seeing the world with different eyes, and coming to an even greater understanding that Satan truly is “the god of this world” (2 COR 4:4).

One day when I was alone at the apartment, the LORD prompted me to go take a walk outside and seek Him in prayer, which I did after I grabbed my Bible and a bottle of water.

With a heavy heart of anguish for a church that seemed almost entirely unaware of what was transpiring, and of a world that was being duped into believing it was about to venture into a Golden Age, but in reality will be plunged into a kind of ‘hell on earth’, I earnestly began to pray and cry out to the LORD with tears and deep sorrow.

I felt completely powerless, helpless, bewildered over all of these things; while I knew and entirely believed Bible prophecy and understood intellectually what will transpire in these last days, this was really hitting home with me. It was no longer academic; it became very personal and ‘up-close’.

Burdened, I looked for a place to sit down and found an old gnarly log, opened my water bottle and took a sip and then the LORD flashed a Psalm in my mind: Psalm 37.
Screwing the cap back on the bottle, I quickly unzipped my Bible and turned to that chapter and voraciously read every verse.

In this Psalm I found comfort, strength, encouragement, guidance, assurance and hope; I found a rest and a peace that immediately replaced all of my apprehensive tensions and anxiety; today as each day passes I find myself reading this Psalm two or three times daily! In light of our current situation, I’m certain that we are all experiencing some measure of fear and instability, and so I thought it would be a blessing to share with you, what the LORD gave to me.

PSALM 37:1-2
Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

Evil doers and workers of iniquity could be a label pasted on any one in the world who is outside of Christ Jesus and salvation; yet in the context of how the LORD was sharing this Psalm with me, I believe these labels had very specific meaning: namely those ‘movers and shakers’ of world events, those that I refer to as goblins (a homonym for ‘globalist’). These are such men as Rothschild and Rockefellers, Kissinger and George Soros*, among many others who are the architects of the new world order (guesses estimate that they number approximately about five thousand or so, globally).

See this article on Soros and his plan for America, in which he states: “The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States.”
George Soros and his Progressive War on America

We are not to fret over these people who are seemingly in control and have no care or concern with how miserable they would make life for us common folk, bringing down regimes, governments and economies with a nod and a course of action. Nor are we to be envious of these workers of iniquity for all their pomp and pleasure, wealth and ways of ease.

“Soon [be cut down]” is of course a relative term; what would be considered soon for the LORD, for us could encompass an entire life time, and yet what is our life span, but a vapor that appears for an instant and is gone (JAMES 4:14)? From an eternal perspective, these rebels against the LORD will indeed be cut off (mowed down!), soon when the LORD returns and sets up His own world order of justice and peace, right here on planet Earth, ruling from the city of Peace, the city of David, Jerusalem.

“Fret not” appears three times in this Psalm (vs. 1,7 and 8) and in all three instances it has the same meaning:

It’s charah in the Hebrew, and it means “to glow, or grow warm, to blaze up, of anger, zeal, jealousy – kindled, wroth, hot, displeasure, incensed, and, or grieved; it can also mean to work hard” In colloquial language, we could say, “Don’t get all worked up about these sort of people!”

As we see the masses of humanity becoming the hapless victims of these goblins, it’s quite easy to get worked up into a lather of rage, even hatred; yet God says, “Fret not”.

From vs. 3 and onward for several verses we then read a series of key words that are instrumental in our attitudes and actions that we must adhere to by the grace of our benevolent Abba and Almighty God, starting here:

PSALM 37:3
Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

I can’t begin to tell you the depths of solace that this one single verse provided for me!

This word ‘trust’ also appears three times in this Psalm (vs. 3,5 and 40); in the first two references the same Hebrew word is employed, a different one in vs. 40.

“Trust” in vs. 3 and 5 in the Hebrew is batach and it means “to hide for a refuge, safety both in fact (security) and in feeling (trust). It is to dwell safely, carelessly, securely, with assurance, boldly, confidence. This word connotes the idea of a city unafraid of being attacked, of having the confidence in pursuing without any fear of reprisals as in GEN 34:25 and of the people in the city itself that was unaware (careless) of their impending doom.

In both PROV 1:33 and 10:9 there is again the idea of confidence (“surely”) and the absence of impending doom. If we are to find provision at the hand of the LORD, He requires our implicit trust in Him, and not look to human resources; this is a matter of the heart – will we look to the LORD for answers in these coming days of distress and darkness, or look to human powers, such as are represented in our government?

If we seek dependence upon human support and provisions so that we no longer look to the LORD, and our hearts depart from Him, this is spiritually dangerous and detrimental. If we are seeking God in all things, and understand that all provisions we receive “verily” comes from God and God alone, then we are obligated to offer thanks to God, and allow our hearts to draw near to Him in thanksgiving and praise.

He that walketh uprightly walketh surely . . .

JEREMIAH 17:5-8

Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

In vs. 40 the word used is chacah and it means “to flee for protection, to confide in, trust, to make refuge; this word is used when God is compared to a rock or a shield or one with protective wings:

1 SAMUEL 2:2
There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

PSALM 84:11

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

PSALM 63:7
Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

Among nomadic tribesmen in the Arabian Peninsula there was a custom, that if any visitor came to your tent, they dwelled under the shadow of it, and therefore the host of those guests were obligated to serve and protect them for as long as they dwelled under that shadow. Thus dwelling under the shadow of God’s ‘wings’ is indeed the safest, and most securest place to be, as the Almighty would Himself be our protector and provider.

There are a few articles on FROM the MIND of FIRE that relate to God as our refuge (just type ‘refuge’ in the search engine there, and you will find five links that deal specifically with God as our Refuge); here is one of those articles:

In both PROV 10: 9 and in PSALM 84:11 as well as in our text today, PSALM 37:3 there is the common factor of “walking uprightly” and “doing good”.

There is so much emphasis today on the grace of God that it’s become rather imbalanced; by this I mean that because saints (rightly) perceive that the grace of God is there for the forgiveness of sin and blessing us undeservedly (EPH 2:8), that the other aspect of grace is not employed or even recognized as its other viable function, that is to empower us to live holy lives, serving the LORD, and rendering our members as instruments of righteousness (see ROM 6:11-13 and HEB 4:16).

To what degree can those saints who are genuinely saved but living in carnality lay claim to the promises of God’s protection and security in times of trouble as stated below?

PSALM 27:5
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

We understand that we as saints have a choice to either walk in the Spirit or walk in the flesh, but we can’t do both at the same time. If we walk in the flesh we are vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy, like someone leaving a fortress during a battle without his armor on. If we are walking in the Spirit, we are secure within the confines of that fortress and our armor and thus safe from the attacks of the enemy.

I believe one of the primary reasons, perhaps even the single greatest reason that our nation is in the dilemma that we are in today is because God is trying to wake up His church, and because we (corporately speaking) love to slumber (PROV 6:10) and we love false teachings and false doctrines (JER 5:31) and hate being convicted of sin and are willingly deceived (ISAIAH 30:10). For these reasons I believe that judgment is waiting in the wings and is about to take center stage!

This judgment will fall upon the nation as a whole, as well as those who are playing some sort of ‘cheap plastic Jesus game’ and those who name the Name of Christ Jesus but are nonetheless living in carnality and in a love relationship with the world (JAMES 4:4) and are not known of the LORD (See LUKE 13:27), but are themselves “workers of iniquity” who are also mentioned in our text today (vs. 1)!

Yet in the midst of this judgment, God is willing, ever willing to bestow His mercies; He is not a God Who willingly afflicts (LAM 3:30–50, note particularly vs. 33-34, and 38-40).

For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men. To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,

As well as:

Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good? Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins? Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.

I’ve said it before: God sprints to deliver His mercies, but drags His feet when He must bring judgment. So we are to trust in the LORD, and in vs. 4 it states:

PSALM 37:4
Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart

“Delight” is found twice in this Psalm; here in this verse and also in vs. 11. In both cases the same Hebrew word is used: anag, and it means “soft, pliable, (fig) effeminate, delight, delicate.” Delighting in the LORD in this sense is to be tender towards His will for us, yielding to His touch, and easily conformable to Him; it speaks of intimacy with the LORD, and a love relationship that knows no boundaries between the LORD’s heart and our own. Certainly this is the spiritual ideal, and the LORD looks upon the intent of our hearts and if we genuinely seek this high calling (or not). If we do, and endeavor to so yield, and be thus pliable and tender towards Him and His will, He gives our hearts such desires that mirror His own. Our own heart then will be in compliance to His perfect will, and our prayers will prevail with no obstacles in their way. See also ISAIAH 58:14.

PSALM 37:5
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

“Commit” here (galal) means “to roll, commit, to remove, to trust” and this same Hebrew word is used in Proverbs –

Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

To remove from our own control the way that is before us, to roll the responsibility of governing our lives to the LORD with a trusting (not a complacent or apathetic) heart, will ensure that the way, the right way, will be brought to pass by our Almighty God!

This verse has a well known parallel passage in PROVERBS 3:5-6.

PSALM 37:6
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Again we see “righteousness” as being a standard trait of the child of God who is following after the LORD, and “doing good”, bearing fruit to the glory of God. This spiritual growth husbanded by God Himself will demonstrate itself as righteousness and holiness, and as the Light of the LORD which will reveal any sin and darkness that is round about – this is of course the primary cause for the persecution of the saints.

See  HOS 10:12; EPH 5:8,13; MATT 5:16; 2 TIM 3:12

PSALM 37:7
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

in the Hebrew is translated as “rest” here and it means: “to be dumb, silent, astonished, to stop, rest, cease, forbear, peace, quieted, to tarry, wait”. The various renderings of this word in connection with this verse would imply that we cease to strive and work in our own strength to see an end result, perhaps vengeance upon the wicked (?) and merely to wait for the LORD.

Certainly in such days as we see before us, and in the days thereafter our waiting and longing for the LORD to deliver us, and all the saints the world over who are already (and have been for some time) suffering from injustice, want, persecution, hardships, etc. We will no doubt in the future see political leaders at the global level make policies that will prove oppressive and unjust for all under their heels as we march towards their successful enterprise of creating a socialist world; garnished with New Age spirituality that will likewise seek to conform all souls to their own belief system. Yet we are to rest in the LORD and not get “worked up” but rather remain in the only peace that will get us through these trials, the very peace of God.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
PSALM 37:8-10
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

These verses admonish the believer to refrain from doing evil, or as the summation of the Hebrew meaning would be, to ‘vandalize’ or ‘wreck’ or “to make good for nothing”, which assumes an attitude of hostile vengeance.

Any who would commit evil is promised by God’s Word to be cut off and brought to nothing (vs. 10); on the other hand, those who wait (patiently and meekly – see vs.11) for the LORD will inherit the Earth (the very thing that the workers of iniquity wrestle, and strive and jostle against each other in lust to obtain by their own might and force).

PSALM 37:11
But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

As these days proceed, the idea of an “abundance of peace” is something that I long for; a world free of strife, contention, greed, bigotry, hatred; of suffering, famines, pestilences and wars and in their place, not merely peace, but an abundance, a wealth of, a never ending supply of peace will we delight in.

This is not some ‘heaven on earth’ by our own efforts in some misconceived notion and calling that’s being foisted upon the church by Emergent Deceivers; this abundance of peace will be the inheritance of the saints when the PRINCE of PEACE arrives and inaugurates His Holy and Righteous Reign over all the Earth, bringing an end to oppression and injustice against the poor and the weak by those global elitists and power-mongers.

“Vengeance is Mine, saith the LORD, I will recompense”
as it states in ROMANS 12:19, and we see this very conduct by Christ Jesus, the Messiah of Israel, in the following verses throughout this Psalm:

PSALM 37:13-17,20,38
The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken . . . But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

And compare the fate of the wicked with that of the just, the upright, the righteous, the saints of the LORD:

PSALM 37:16-18
A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. . . . but the LORD upholdeth the righteous. The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

However our lives may turn out while our feet walk this Earth, cursed and tainted by sin, even if tragedy, persecution, poverty and hardships pursue us the length of our days, we have an inheritance from the hand of our Heavenly Abba that “shall be forever”! May we let the truth of this hope permeate our hearts and minds! Let us acknowledge that while we may be feeble and quite ill-equipped to handle a crisis of literally global proportions, our God is well able to uphold the righteous.

Are you a righteous saint in Christ Jesus? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? Are you walking in righteousness, and in the ways of the LORD? Then such are the promises of God for you! Along with vs. 3, this verse is a well-spring of comfort and assurance from the lips of God to the ears and hearts of His own:

PSALM 37:19
They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

“Ashamed” in this verse refers to “being disappointed, confounded” in the evil time, or the time of trouble, turmoil, ruin. In the days of famine the righteous of the LORD have the promise that they shall be “satisfied” or “full, plenty, satiate, sufficed, to fill to satisfaction”. Can God do such a thing during a time of abject famine and deplorably destroyed prospects?

The children of Israel asked a similar question: “Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?” PSALM 78:19
They should have made it a declaration rather than a doubt:"God CAN furnish a table in the wilderness!"

Read the entire Psalm and find out just how able God was in making such provision, even though these Hebrews grumbled, and complained and failed to enter into God’s rest and all that He desired for them (as described in HEB 3:7-19; and also HEB 4:1-11). I have to ask myself, am I guilty of limiting the Holy One of Israel by my unbelief in His promises?

PSALM 37:23-25, 27-31
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever . . .

PSALM 37:29, 30-31
The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

And also:

PSALM 37:34
Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. And:

PSALM 37:39-40
But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him

We are certainly living in turbulent times of uncertainty and bewilderment; “perilous times” indeed; days of perplexity with no solutions or ways of escape. None of us have all the answers; most of us have only a few. We do not know what the future holds (entirely) but we do know Who holds the future, in His nail scarred hands which He won on Calvary’s hill. Take a good, long look at those scars because those are the emblems of His love for us! Can we trust this One Who demonstrated for us such love as this, even with our very lives, even in the uncertainty of life or death?

Or will we in unbelief, forsake our precious LORD? I recall the words spoken in John’s Gospel, chapter six:

JOHN 6:67-68

Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

Amen Peter, I agree! How about you, saints? Though emotions may tremble, even if our own minds fail to fathom the depths of what’s to come or any rational response to it, can we, will we cling to the One Who has the words of eternal life? Let us be strong in the LORD, and in the power of His might!
