"We see, in many a land, the proudest dynasties and tyrannies still crushing, with their mountain weight, every free motion of the Consciences and hearts of men. We see, on the other hand, the truest heroism for the right and the greatest devotion to the Truth in hearts that God has touched. We have a work to do, as great as our forefathers and, perhaps, far greater. The enemies of Truth are more numerous and subtle than ever and the needs of the Church are greater than at any preceding time. If we are not debtors to the present, then men were never debtors to their age and their time. Brethren, we are debtors to the hour in which we live. Oh, that we might stamp it with Truth and that God might help us to impress upon its wings some proof that it has not flown by neglected and unheeded." -- C.H. Spurgeon . . . "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31, 32 . . . . .

ABLE MINISTERS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT

ABLE MINISTERS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT (this teaching was given at ETERNAL LIVING WORD Church on 1/22/17)

By James Fire

2 CORINTHIANS 3:5-7
4 And we have such trust through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Q: How many ministers do we have here in the congregation today (a few raised their hands)?
Q: Let me ask this then: How many here are born again believers in Jesus Christ (overwhelming majority raised their hands)?
So, let me ask again, but keep all of your hands raised please (everyone laughed):
Q: How many ministers do we have here in the congregation today? There you go, that's the answer I was looking for!

The fact of the matter is, that anyone who is born again is a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of His body, the church.
He led by example the life of the Servant Leader, and so –  we are all servants of the LORD – and ‘minister’ is just another word for servant.
