"We see, in many a land, the proudest dynasties and tyrannies still crushing, with their mountain weight, every free motion of the Consciences and hearts of men. We see, on the other hand, the truest heroism for the right and the greatest devotion to the Truth in hearts that God has touched. We have a work to do, as great as our forefathers and, perhaps, far greater. The enemies of Truth are more numerous and subtle than ever and the needs of the Church are greater than at any preceding time. If we are not debtors to the present, then men were never debtors to their age and their time. Brethren, we are debtors to the hour in which we live. Oh, that we might stamp it with Truth and that God might help us to impress upon its wings some proof that it has not flown by neglected and unheeded." -- C.H. Spurgeon . . . "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31, 32 . . . . . I think that it is important to know and to understand the times in which we live and what the Scriptures have to say about them. I would encourage you to take time in searching the Scriptures, and to study for yourselves what has been prophecied ahead of time so that you will be prepared for what is yet to come.

There is a wonderful little booklet entitled, “101 Last Days Prophecies” written by Jim Tetlow, who is our friend here at The TRUTH Under FIRE, and brother in Christ. This booklet is a wonderful resource that every student of the Bible should have. If you would like a copy, or several copies of this booklet, you can order them at:

Eternal Productions - 101 Last Days Prophecies
The changing times in which we live, and the many strange events that are surrounding these times, are happening at an alarming rate. This world is taking on a new form in a “New Age” era that many in this world seem to be excited about, yet there are many others who are fearful and uncertain.

Though it isn’t my intention to go political on you, we cannot discuss “the signs of the times” in the light of Scripture without talking about the current events taking place in the world around us.

We are being bombarded daily with all kinds of “BAD NEWS." The White House is daily spewing out its extreme liberal “New Age” agenda. Our Nation is writhing in the economic backlash of Wall Streets criminal activity, which our government has had hand in. The unemployment rate is climbing, and if you have a job, its existence is threatened daily. Inflation is sky high. The worlds terrorist’s threats are growing. Our Constitution is being ignored, and our Rights are being stripped away. Our Morals and Values are in a downward spiral. Even our Faith in God is being challenged by the world and its false teachers around us.

We are no longer a nation comprised of a people with differing views, we are either for this “New Age” agenda or we are terrorists. Huh? Yes! As far as our Homeland Security is concerned, you who are Christians; Conservatives; Anyone with Morals, Values, or Faith; Anyone who can Think on their own, or Question what they see and hear; Those who still believe in our Constitution and Bill of Rights who just want to be left alone and live in freedom; and even those of you who have laid down your very lives for our nation, our Veterans, you may all be considered “terrorists”. Haven’t you heard about it? Check out what your Homeland Security has said about you. You can find this information at:

US DHS: Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment, 7 Apr 2009

Our Government was set up to be “of the people, by the people and for the people”; no longer. Every branch of our Government has been corrupted to the point that we don’t have the slightest idea of what is going on, and who is behind the decisions that are being made. If it isn’t of us, or by us, than it cannot be for us, it is for something or someone else. Why is it that every new Bill that goes through Congress has “special interest pork” attached to it? If we are passing a Bill in Congress for a “specific” reason, shouldn’t it be for that one “specific” reason alone? How then with any moral conscience can those who work as appointees “OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, AND FOR THE PEOPLE” attach their sneaky “special interest” expenditures through the back door of politics? This, my friend, is what we call lying, cheating, corruption and deception. Example: our new “Trillion Dollar Deficit Bill.” Do you know what was in it? Do you know where the money has gone? Did Congress ever consider your feelings or reservations about it? Uh, NO!

Well, there is Bad News and there is Good News. The Bad News is that it’s not over. It’s going to get worse, much worse. How do I know? Because, it has been foretold and written down for us in the pages of the Bible. Jesus said that there would be perilous times coming. He warned us of what the conditions would be in the last age. We not only need to be aware, but we need to be ready. The Good News is that God has a plan for us.

Are you worried, stressed and scared? You don’t have to be, because there is an answer to all of this turmoil. In a word, JESUS! Where else in this world can you find TRUTH? We have the Bible, the INSPIRED, GOD BREATHED HOLY SCRIPT, and it is in the contents of this BOOK that you will find answers and peace of mind.

In Luke 21:33 Jesus proclaims, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” His Words are sure, accurate, and trustworthy; divine, gracious, mighty, spiritual, life-giving, incomparable, everlasting and RELEVANT TO OUR LIVES.

In Matthew 24 Jesus and His disciples travel up to the Mt. of Olives. It is here that He warns them of the coming “Great Deception”, and instructs them to, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” (Verse 4) “Take Heed . . .” Literally in the Greek translation, the word is “blepo” which means to behold, beware, to perceive, to regard. In the Webster’s Dictionary it means to guard, to pay attention to. “Take Heed that no man deceive you.” Isn’t it plain to see that there is a “Deception" coming? I will venture to say that it is here! Jesus warned us over 2,000 years ago so that we ourselves would not be deceived.

Satan’s master plan is to deceive us so that he may destroy us. He is no friend; he is evil and wicked, a hater of God and of those who belong to God. And so he knows that his time is short and his end will be destruction, therefore, he will try and take as many of us with him as he can.

How can we be deceived? A sure way is by constantly allowing our minds to be distracted with the cares of this world. Distraction is the road to Deception. The mind, it is where the battle rages on and causes our hearts to question, to fear and to doubt. Sadly, the mind in today’s society is very dull. We have for the last few decades been entertained to death. It is very difficult for the lazy mind to concentrate, to focus, and discern. We have learned to tune out reality and tune into mindless entertainment. We have tuned out God through our laziness, our selfishness and our pride, and we’ve tuned into the world with all of its wickedness and deceptions. Have we lost the ability to think and to question and to discern? “Take Heed that no man deceive you.”

Our society has become a “fast food” drive-thru, and too busy to stop and eat environment. We have families, work, school, extra curricular activities, social schedules and not enough hours in the day to fulfill all of the commitments that we make. Busyness is the road to Deception. You know, busyness doesn’t just mean the quality or condition of being busy, it also means lively but “meaningless” activity. Meaningless cannot be compared to time spent in Bible study and prayer, which are essential to our Christian walks and testimonies. Spending time with the Lord will keep us from becoming entangled in the cares of this world, and will keep our hearts and minds from being deceived. “I can’t” and “I don’t have the time” mentality will lead you astray. “Take Heed” and take the time, so “that no man deceive you”.

Don’t be a lazy Christian. Don’t blindly accept anything and everything that man has to say and offer you without first filtering it through the lens of Scripture.

It is my prayer for you that you will KNOW GOD’S WORD, and in these days of GREAT DECEPTION, that you will not be caught up in lies of Satan. Jesus’ plan for you is to save you from the Wrath That Is To Come. Jesus is coming again, He said that He would. “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24:27

The Bible is clear about our hope and salvation, “For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore, comfort one another with these words.” I Thessalonians 4:15-18

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” I Corinthians 15:51, 52

Are you still warming your hands at the enemy’s fire? Will you be ready?
Have you received salvation through Jesus Christ? If you haven’t, don’t wait, do it now and be assured of where you will be spending eternity.

The Bible says,
“For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 All means all of us! None of us are better than anyone else or any worse than anyone else, for we have all fallen short of the glory of God. Since God is Holy, we cannot see God in our fallen sinful state. Therefore, we must be forgiven of our sins, and cleansed from all unrighteousness, so that we can be made perfect in His sight and received in His presence.

“But God demonstrates His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 We are God’s creation and He loves us and desires to have a relationship with us. He demonstrated His love by making a way for us to have a relationship with Him, and that way was very costly. It cost us nothing, but cost Jesus His life. He spared not His only Son, Jesus, who paid the penalty for our sin on the cross that He bore, and get this, Jesus willingly laid down His life for us. Jesus, who is God, could be that only perfect sacrifice for us, because he is holy and without sin or blemish.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Good News for mankind! The Bible says that “whosoever believeth in Him”, that means anyone who puts their faith and trust and lives in the hands of Jesus Christ, “will not perish but have everlasting life.” Here is the promise of our eternal security! You can get excited now!!!

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 This Scripture is both a warning and a promise. It says for those who reject Jesus, he will reject you. You will not be spared God’s Wrath that will be poured out on the earth, but you will surely die. But . . . for those who will receive Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives, you will be spared. You will receive God’s gift, the gift of salvation, and eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN!

If you want to be forgiven of your sins and place your trust in Jesus Christ, look to Him and pray. Acknowledge your sins before Him and ask Him to cleanse you of all unrighteousness through the blood of Jesus Christ. Invite Him into your heart as Lord and Savior of your life. Read your Bible daily and obey the Scriptures, so that you will learn and grow in the knowledge of the Lord.

The Bible states that in the last days, many will not endure sound doctrine. Where will you stand?

awesome exhortation!

Lest those who think that rejecting the Gospel will have no pertinent ramifications, they'd do well to read 2Th 1:7-9 "And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;"

Even pastors and Bible teachers whose emphasis is on teaching the Word of God, often times shy away from prophecy and eschatology specifically, particularly where Christ Jesus' Second Coming is concerned. "We want to be practical in our Christianity, shoe leather type theology, how best to live our lives as Christians."

I agree! Unless we are LIVING the Life, and WALKING the Talk, our Christian faith is a sham; HOWEVER having said that, we must remind ourselves:

1 Jon 3:2-3 -
"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure."

Purity of heart? remaining in a state of hope and diligence? One can't get more practical than that!

The LORD Jesus also stated that we are to "watch and pray, and be ready always, for you know not when your Lord will come."

Unless we are diligently studying the scriptural prophecies, and scrutinizing the world scene in all of its various spheres (political, economic, social, spiritual, etc) how can we discern the signs of the times?

Lastly, let those who want to say that prophecy is peripheral doctrine and not essential to Christians, read-
Rev 19:10 "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: FOR THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS IS THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY (emph. mine)."

I submit that Jesus is rather

vital to Christian doctrine and all else Christian, and His Testimony is the very heart ("spirit") of prophecy!

I am SO BLESSED to see saints eagerly awaiting the LORD's RETURN, and being zealous in sharing God's Absolute and Incontestable Truth and Grace with the body of Christ and the lost souls God is yearning to see enter His family!

Hi James,

Thank you for your comments!

I hope and pray that those who check out our site will be encouraged and inspired to take the message to everyone they meet.

We still are very blessed in this country with the freedoms that we have, and the ability to communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ to everyone we meet.

I certainly pray for repentance and revival in the Church. I pray that the Church would honor God by honoring His Word, and walking in obedience to it.

May we all have the integrity of heart to live a life that shines bright in this world, and that is pleasing to our Heavenly Father.

God Bless You,
A.M. Kisly
