"We see, in many a land, the proudest dynasties and tyrannies still crushing, with their mountain weight, every free motion of the Consciences and hearts of men. We see, on the other hand, the truest heroism for the right and the greatest devotion to the Truth in hearts that God has touched. We have a work to do, as great as our forefathers and, perhaps, far greater. The enemies of Truth are more numerous and subtle than ever and the needs of the Church are greater than at any preceding time. If we are not debtors to the present, then men were never debtors to their age and their time. Brethren, we are debtors to the hour in which we live. Oh, that we might stamp it with Truth and that God might help us to impress upon its wings some proof that it has not flown by neglected and unheeded." -- C.H. Spurgeon . . . "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31, 32 . . . . .

LORDSHIP Salvation: What Is True Faith? Parts 1, 2 & 3

 By A.M. Kisly

The reality of the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

PART ONE ~

Jesus is Lord!  This statement is the truth of WHO JESUS IS.  He is Lord!  And that means that Jesus is God. He has “all authority in heaven and on earth” (MATT 28:18). He is Lord of the Sabbath (LUKE 6:5). He is “our only Sovereign and Lord” (JUDE 1:4). He is, in fact, the Lord of lords (REV 17:14).

It is my prayer that this article will provoke serious soul searching in all matters concerning salvation and right living in Him.

Who do you say that I am?

In MATTHEW 16:15-16, Jesus asked His disciples a very important question, “Who do you say that I am?” Peter responded, “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God."

Clearly, Jesus thought it fundamentally important what others believed about Him. He wasn’t interested in neutrality, for instance; He teaches us that we must be all in, or all out.  No one can sit on the fence when it comes to God (LUKE 11:23).  There is no such thing as faith that sort of believes. When Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” (JOHN 14:6) He wasn’t making meaningless, abstract statements. His divinity was central to His messages; Jesus regarded the two as inseparable.

Why is this important? It is important because what we believe about God will in fact determine our eternal destination.

The REALITY Of The RAPTURE

By James Fire

Having completed the 6 part series of The RAPTURE: The WHO and WHEN of it ALL, I decided that there were some loose ends to tie up, and points that could be honed to a finer point, and therefore prove useful for the reader.

This article will hopefully provide these.

TWO FAMILIES -

In any view of eschatology, the two groups of people, namely Israel and the Church, will inevitably come up. From a dispensationalist (and this is a loaded term that can mean many things to different groups) view point there are many that make assertions as to the differences between these two that could be considered unwarranted, even extreme in light of the whole Word of God. Yet distinctions there are. These must be clearly understood, otherwise there will arise confusion regarding the applicability of scripture to the one group or the other.

CROSSING The T’s STUDY in TITUS – Biblical Precepts and Principles for Pastoral ministry: CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION
: The apostle Paul considered Titus to be a spiritual son of his (as he did Timothy; TITUS 1:4) as well as a brother whose company the aging apostle craved (2 COR 2:12-13), and also a co-laborer (2 COR 8:23) for the kingdom of GOD. He was likely older than Timothy, spiritually more mature, as he apparently was given more responsibilities than Timothy. The apostle Paul assigned him on missions to Corinth (2 COR 8:16-18), accompanied Paul to Jerusalem (GAL 2:1), was established as the pastor of the church at the island of Crete in the overseeing of multiple fellowships, as this epistle ably demonstrates. He served very much in the same sacrificial spirit as did Pau’s other spiritual son in the faith, Timothy – both mirroring the ministry of their mentor (2 COR 12:17-18). He was at one point one of only two companions with Paul during his imprisonment in Rome, but he eventually left for Dalmatia (probably by instruction from Paul; 2 TIM 4:10).

Ona side note: he was a full-blooded Greek (GAL 2:3), whereas Timothy’s father was Greek, his mother Jewish (ACTS 16:1).

He was instructed by Paul to establish pastoral elders in every city in Crete, so as to offset the self-appointed preachers who wanted a following for themselves, who didn’t truly serve Christ and His church.

Counsels and exhortations make up the majority of this epistle, duties, and doctrines, with an emphasis on “maintaining good works”.

Key verses are:

TITUS 1:5
For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you. And…

TITUS 3:8
This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

So without further ado, let’s get into this three chapter epistle by Paul to his other son in the faith!

A TTUF EXAMINATION OF HEAVEN – PART THREE: The Second Heaven

“Space: the Final Frontier…” were the epic words that started a legacy known as Star Trek and has had as much impact on the cultures of the world as that other famous line, “In a hole in the ground there lived a Hobbit” that brought us to the world of Middle Earth.

And as vast as our galaxy is, to say nothing of the universe itself, we must ponder the question, “Is it really the final frontier?” Once this entire creation and known reality is swept away, GOD is going to create a new heavens and a new earth (REV 21; ISA 66:22)! Think of the excitement we will have in exploring these heretofore unknown frontiers!

But even if one discounts all of that - there is the limitless exploration and discoveries of the mysteries of GOD! You see, what we know of GOD is limited to the inspired canon. That’s not to say that the Holy Scriptures in conjunction with the Holy Spirit doesn’t provide us an astounding amount of revelation about our Creator and Redeemer, it’s simply as the acronym suggests: B.I.B.L.E. – Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.

We have all the basics that we need to live godly in Christ Jesus (2 PET 1:3-4); we’re blessed with plenty of knowledge to enjoy a full and rich relationship with the LORD. But once we enter into eternity with glorified bodies and minds, the LORD will be able for the first time, to reveal His nature and all of the Truth that’s personified in His Person with no limitations on our part to grasp it all.

That being said, since He is eternal in His nature, the wealth of knowledge available to us One Day as glorified saints will also be eternal. In other words, we won’t ever stop learning of our glorious GOD. We will be continuously afforded more and more Truth that will in no way contradict the canon of Scripture we have now but will expand upon and exemplify the Holy Scripture with deeper, more profound Truth.

TRIUMPHANT TRILOGIES – JOHN 12,13 & 14: Examining JOHN 13 – Part 1 of 2

Examining JOHN 13 – Part ONE

From chapter 11 on, we are witnessing the Passion Week of the Christ. From Chapter 13 here, it starts going into “high gear” because it’s only hours away until the LAMB of GOD is slain for the sins of the world from the foundation of the world.

1 PETER 1:19-21
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you 21 who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

HEBREWS 9:25-26
25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another-- 26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

REVELATION 5:5-6
5 But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals." 6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

Being omniscient and possessing foreknowledge, long before Adam and Eve were ever created, before the Almighty ever said, “Let there be light…” He saw the predicament and peril of humanity because of the fateful choice our First Parents made and decided from the halls of eternity to offer Himself up as a sacrifice for the sins of the world.

As one Bible expositor put it, “GOD allowed Man to enter a situation from which he couldn’t rescue himself, but what would require the death of GOD in order to redeem him!”

This was quite literally the sublime, supreme passion of GOD to bring His creation back to Himself at His cost, and none at all for the redeemed.

FAITH: D.O.A. – PARTS ONE and TWO

PART ONE –

When the subject of salvation is brought up, some people say that they are “saved by the grace of GOD”. But the term salvation in a doctrinal sense is very comprehensive. It begins with justification in Christ, where our sins are forgiven, and we’re accounted as “not guilty” in GOD’s Court of Law. Christ’s righteousness is imputed to us. We are saved from sin and death, from judgment and eternal damnation. This is when eternal life begins. We are saved for perpetual relationship and fellowship with the LORD, all Three Members of the Trinity. We are saved for good works that stem from that relationship with GOD. We are saved for everlasting citizenship in heaven and on earth where we the church will rule alongside our King!

While our overall salvation is provided freely by GOD through His only begotten Son, we must always be attentive that our faith is focused in the right direction.

For now, let’s talk about this:

Faith and Hope are two aspects of the Christian life that are inextricably intertwined. It’s by our faith that we hold onto the promises of GOD today. The hope we have is not wishful but certain. An expectation of tomorrow and our future destiny.

A Study in Paul’s Epistle to the ROMANS – “On the Road of Righteousness” Chapter Twelve: Part 2: GOD’s GIFTS of LOVE

Chapter Twelve– GOD’s GIFTS of LOVE

~ By James Fire

Having completed chapter 12 up to verse 5, we have examined the spiritual truths that involve our transformation via the sanctifying power and process of God’s Spirit and this incredible transformation is manifest among the members of the body of Christ.

From verses 6 through 13 we see the manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit in the body of Christ, and as such how they are to be used for the mutual edification of the body. Such gifts are as indispensable as they are priceless as we shall soon see; they are only properly used in the lives of those who are so sanctified and in process of transforming in their minds to become Christ-like in character and operate in the will of God. Such gifts and the concept of the gifts of the Spirit are to enhance, not disrupt (as is often the case unfortunately) the unity expressed in the body of Christ as God intended:

EPHESIANS: PARTAKERS of LIGHT in the DARK DAYS of EVIL - PT I & II - Chapter 5:1-33

Previously in chapter four of Ephesians we examined much of that which involves the body of Christ, and what's been known as 'body ministry' or that ministry that takes place within the church, among the saints themselves. Verse 16 is a key to the latter half of the chapter -

EPHESIANS 4:16
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

EMERGENT is REGURGITANT – Part Four: Loving Evangelism, Emergent Style

By James Fire

The following is a treatment of the article written by Heather Kirk-Davidoff as found in the book An Emergent Manifesto of Hope.

Mrs. Kirk-Davidoff is the Enabling Minister of the Kittamanqundi Community (an independent church) in Columbia, Maryland. She is married to Dan Kirk-Davidoff a climate scientist. Along with writing partner, Nancy Wood-Lyczak she has authored two books, Talking Faith (Chalice Press, 2004) and Dare to Dive In (Abingdon, 2006). She can be reached at kirkwood associates.

Mrs. Davidoff relates an experience at the beginning of her chapter of visiting a bar in an attempt to conduct some “relational evangelism” and encountered a young lady who entered into some casual conversation with her. They spoke of common every day things (work, boyfriend, music, etc.) until the young lady asked her if she saw the stage musical, Rent. Her favorite character in the play was a drum playing homeless gay man who spends most of the show dressed as a drag queen Santa Claus named Angel. She remarks about his love having so “much power in the lives of the other characters. And his love doesn’t stop affecting them even after he dies (of AIDS) . . . it’s like his love is made more perfect in his death.”

GOD’s PERFECT PLAN: The GOSPEL – Part 5: A Series Exploring The Biblical Overview

INTRODUCTION: In GENESIS 22, we saw how Abraham represented the Father Who was willing to sacrifice His own beloved Son; Isaac represented the willing Son Who laid down his life in obedience to His Father’s plan.

As discussed in Part 4, this was a kind of “spiritual skit” that played out the scene that would transpire on Golgotha centuries later when Christ out of obedience to the Father (and Himself, the willing Lamb of GOD slain from before the foundation of the Earth; REV 13:8b) would offer up His own life as the propitiatory atonement (the only acceptable sacrifice for our sins; JOHN 10:15,17-18).

Then the Holy Spirit very precisely inspired Moses as he penned this verse:

GENESIS 22:19
So Abraham returned to his young men, and they rose and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.

Take note that Abraham and the young men are mentioned here, but not Isaac. Obviously it’s a foregone conclusion that Isaac went home and didn’t wander about the mountain top – but it’s interesting that the Holy Spirit didn’t expressly mention Isaac leaving with his father. Why is that?

We’ll get into that and how the entire triune GOD is portrayed in GENESIS 24 as well as the church!

GENESIS – An Expositional Overview of the Beginning of God’s Revelation: Chapter THIRTEEN

Contributing commentaries by Sonny Islas and James Fire

Chapter Thirteen – by James Fire

Commentary on GENESIS by Ray Stedman - For the video teaching of this chapter, click here.

GENESIS 13:1-2
And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south. 2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.

Egypt has long been a type of the world in Scripture – and here we have Abram leaving Egypt; an Old Testament example of sanctification from the sinful influences of this fallen world. Moses, more than four centuries after this point will declare to Pharaoh when admonished by the King of Egypt to stay, and when refused, he asked Moses to keep the animals in Egypt; it was then that he said: “we shall not so much as leave a hoof in Egypt!” (EXOD 10:26).

Abram was a very wealthy man and this would seem to go contrary to who GOD usually calls to His kingdom (GOD must really love poor people – He sure made a LOT of them!):

JAMES 2:5
Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

HOW NEAR-EASTERN RELIGION INVADED THE WEST - Part 3: The Gnostic Religion and Revival (Conclusion)

~~ by James Fire

The Gnostic Revival In Liberal 20th Century Theologians

In the ancient world of warfare, soldiers would often attempt to creep into the enemy camp, overcome the guards on duty, and then infiltrate arsenals to steal away weapons. When pre-dawn would approach, they would then come with the entire army and massacre their foes, who would only have weapons that they stowed in their own tents, to fight a losing battle because they were deprived of the bulk of their weapons.

We must be aware that in the realm of spiritual warfare, the primary weapon in our holy arsenal is the Word of God. Small wonder then that our great enemy, Satan, would seek to enter covertly into the ranks of 'Christian' scholarship and through such liberal theologians that have penetrated our seminaries during the 19th and 20th centuries and wean, then remove God’s Word from us any way they could.

AFTER HIS KIND

By James Fire

We live in an amazing time of rapidly increasing technology. There are some Sociologists who refer to our current time period as a 'technocracy' – where our culture and everyday life is intricately interwoven with our technology and governed by technological experts, particularly where computers and the Internet are concerned. The level of advancement in computing power and information processing in our day and age is staggering.

Consider:

Everyone today has a smart phone, with micro-miniaturized circuitry that enables these palm sized gadgets to function as hand-held computers. The average smart phone in 2016 has more computing power than the NASA Command Center had during the days of the Apollo missions to the Moon back in the 1960’s!

CHRIST's COURT: Soon In Session - Part 2

Part One of this article concluded with “Lessons From Lockyer” in which we examined the three fold aspect of death – physical (or natural), spiritual, and eternal death. We then examined the “broad proofs” of such.

We now continue with more aspects of Universalism’s errant dogma in the following:

NO CONDEMNATION FOR . . . ANY ONE?
Examining Scriptures for Content on This Doctrine –

Universalists have various scriptures that they use to justify this belief that all will be saved, and some of these are listed below with appropriate refutations (many of these are quoted from Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics by Norman Geisler.

Universalists claim that the fires of hell will have a purgative effect on souls that are not yet suitably prepared for heaven; that their sins will be purged away during their limited* time in gehenna (the lake of fire; *also as mentioned earlier, there are those consigned to the lake of fire who will have previously been imprisoned in hades from which there is no escape, thus no liberation is possible and time there is not “limited”). There are no references to gehenna as a place where sins are purged, nor are there any scriptures that validate that once said sins are purged, the souls relinquished there are delivered. This is more akin to the Roman Catholic heresy of purgatory, than a biblical doctrine of eternal punishment.

There is only one thing that ever expiates sin and that is the blood of Jesus Christ (1 John 1:7)! Nothing else can do this, for if there were an alternative for the obliteration of sin, then Christ’s death on the cross would have been unnecessary, and there would have been a prayer that Jesus prayed to the Father, that He neglected to answer:

The TTUF STUDY on The REVELATION of JESUS CHRIST – Chapter FIFTEEN & SIXTEEN

~ by James Fire

Introduction: Talk about “the judgment of GOD” and you’ll get many disapproving glares, scoffs, and, or ridicule from the world; or even among professing Christians. This world hates the idea of judgment from GOD, but let a judge dismiss someone that committed a crime against them, and they’d balk - - loudly!

Our GOD is a GOD of truth, and therefore also a GOD of justice; yet the idea of justice can be quite relative in this fallen world (just as truth has been for generations now). Commit the same crime in different countries and you’ll be judged with varying degrees of severity based on their own rule of law.
This is not the case with GOD’s justice however, which is the twin of GOD’s truth: both are immutable, both are eternal, both are resolute and represent His nature with absolute perfection.

Without GOD’s judgment – murderers like Hitler, Stalin, and others, along with abortionists that have slain over 70 million babies in the USA alone; agnostics who fight fiercely to remove any mention of GOD, whether on our money or in our schools, and every other worker of lawlessness such that exalt evolution as science, and other ungodly philosophies, derailing the faith of professing Christians – would go unpunished.

The world likes to remind us that GOD is love and would never condemn anyone to an eternal punishment! Such is their perverse, lop-sided view of GOD. Yes, GOD is the very embodiment of love, a love unequalled anywhere: the Cross is evidence enough of this – where sinners find grace, forgiveness of sin and love.

And it’s also at that same Cross where we see the holiness and justice of GOD – because Christ suffered the vengeful wrath of a Holy GOD on our behalf (ISAIAH 53), Who views any rebellion against Him as blatantly evil.
The world in the vast majority spurns the Cross of Christ, the Eternal emblem of the LORD’s love expressed for fallen humanity. I’ve heard atheists say that they wish they could see this ‘fictitious Jesus’ show up for real, just so that they could crucify Him a second time!

Since they reject this offer of salvation and escape “the wrath to come” through Christ’s atoning sacrifice on our behalf (1 THESS 1:10), they will meet the undiluted, unrestrained, unstoppable wrath that will be poured out upon the world that will be under the reign of anti-Christ.

Yet even this fierce wrath of GOD will be finally spent, never to be seen again (REV 20:11-15 – REV 21:1-2). Once these last seven plagues are administered to the anti-Christ and his followers, the Second Coming of Christ occurs, and there is the judgment of the Beast and the false Prophet, the consignment of Satan to the bottomless pit, and the judgment of nations (that will receive either commendation or condemnation based on how they treated Israel (MATT 25:32) during the time of Jacob’s Trouble (JER 30:7).

There will, I’m sure, be episodes of sporadic judgment upon the nations during the Millennial Reign such as upon those who refuse to go up to Jerusalem to worship the Messiah King (ZECH 14:16-19), but the most awesome and terrible judgment won’t occur until after the Millennial Reign, once the old heavens and old earth pass away and all that is seen in the fathomless emptiness of space will be the Great White Throne (REV 20:11) commencing holy judgment, where hopelessly lost sinners will be condemned for eternity in hell, all because of their wholesale rejection of Christ!

The FOUR Primary Offices of The LORD GOD YHWH Second Office: LORD

by James Fire

By the intent of God's holy will, He has revealed Himself intimately through His Word, the Holy Scriptures. It is the Holy Scriptures themselves, the Word of God that we turn to and learn of the four primary offices of the LORD GOD YHWH:

The offices of GOD as:
1) Creator God
2) LORD
3) Judge
4) Redeemer

The second office of these four, that deals with God as the LORD, is the one that we'll now continue in this series. We will be addressing this thought as we pore over Scripture and discover what they tell us about God Who is LORD.

ARE YOU A “FIDEI DEFENSOR” FOR TRUTH? – Commentary on The TRUTH War by John MacArthur

~~article and commentary by James Fire

It is my distinct pleasure and honor to bring to you today, my own personal commentary for a book that has so blessed and encouraged me, that upon reading its mere introduction, I knew that I would have to publish an article on TTUF about it!

Just to whet your appetite for this work that is “wholly valiant for the truth” check out these quotes (and these are just from the introduction!):

“The church’s duty has always been to confront such skepticism and answer it by clearly proclaiming the truth God has revealed in His Word. We have been given a clear message for the purpose of confronting the world’s unbelief. That is what we are called, commanded, and commissioned to do (1 COR 1:17-31).

Faithfulness to Christ demands it. The honor of God requires it. We cannot sit by and do nothing while worldly, revisionist, and skeptical attitudes about truth are infiltrating the church. We must not embrace such confusion in the name of charity, collegiality or unity. We have to stand and fight for the truth – and be prepared to die for it – as faithful Christians always have.” Pg. xvii

SHOW CASE SALVATION – Examination of JAMES 2 and 1 JOHN 2 PART TWO of TWO: 1st JOHN Chapter 2

~ By James Fire

Webster’s dictionary definition of a “show case” is as follows:
“1: a glazed case, box, or cabinet for displaying and protecting wares in a store or articles in a museum 2: a setting, occasion, or medium for exhibiting something or someone especially in an attractive or favorable aspect”

Think of your typical Harvest festival, where farmers gather from miles around and display the best of their crops; pumpkins, squash, apples and pears – what have you. They put them on display for the admiration of those gathered as well as for a demonstration of their skills as husbandmen.

The LORD likewise intends for the fruit of the Holy Spirit to be displayed in our lives in ‘Show Case’ fashion, to demonstrate the work of salvation – for the admiration of those who have no such fruit and create in them a hunger for such (MATT 5:6).
The LORD intends such growth in us to display the handiwork of His holiness; to reveal we who are saints, who have the favor of the LORD, and in whom He has instilled such spiritual traits of the truly saved. He displays us intentionally before the world so that they can see what He has to offer, and to see His virtues and thus the LORD is glorified (or hated – by the world).

Any fruit grown will reveal what sort of tree it’s grown from; we know an apple tree by the apples it bears; likewise a pear tree or orange tree. How can we tell a tree of righteousness (ISA 61:3) apart from a tree that is not of the same kind?

By the fruit of righteousness it bears (PHIL 1:11; HEB 12:11; JAMES 3:18).
No fruiting tree bears immediately of course; and until that time, the casual observer typically can’t tell these trees apart or even from those that don’t bear fruit at all. However, the time does eventually come when fruit is born. The tree is then known by its fruit.
Spiritually speaking, what happens to those trees that don’t bear good fruit? Scripture speaks plainly of this; John the Baptist said:
MATTHEW 3:10
10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire
.

And the LORD Jesus confirmed this:

MATTHEW 7:18-20
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them
.
There is the fruit of repentance (LUKE 3:8); the fruit that evidences salvation (MATT 13:23); fruit that justifies giving the Kingdom of GOD to those who shall inherit it (MATT 21:43). This fruit brings the characteristic of holiness into one’s life with everlasting life, as a promise to such that bear it (ROM 6:22). The very fruit of the Spirit of GOD is something we will be looking into later (GAL 5:22-23; EPH 5:9).

Fruit is something to be expected in the life of a true believer (PHIL 4:17); fruit that is readily observable: COL 1:6,10). This spiritual fruit is ‘fertilized’ as it were, through the very wisdom of GOD that sows this seed through the Word (JAMES 3:17). All of this good fruit is in contrast with those who are certainly not partakers of the salvation of GOD through the LORD Jesus Christ:
JUDE 1:11-13
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward and perished in the gainsaying of Core. 12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots
;

GLEANINGS From PROVERBS 22:10-12 - The PURE & The PROFANE

PROVERBS 22:10-12 -The PURE PEOPLE and the PROFANE

Let’s turn to the Holy Revelation of GOD’s Written Word!!

To hear this message as taught at SHINE BRIGHT Church (3/06/24) click here!

INTRODUCTION: This world can be divided between truth lovers and truth haters; those who glorify GOD and those who glorify themselves, those that worship GOD and those that mock GOD. Those who walk in the Light of the LORD, and those who love darkness rather than the Light.

The LORD Jesus came with a sword (MATT 10:34-36), this sword of truth, to divide humanity into identifiable categories: those who love and follow Him, and those who hate and reject Him.

These two groups of people consist of the pure and the profane, and both groups are growing more and more in their respective conditions, motivations and desires. As GOD’s Glorious Revelation puts it:

REVELATION 22:11
He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still
