New Evangelicalism: The New World Order

A Book Review

Paul Richard Smith is the author of a new book entitled, "New Evangelicalism: The New World Order". His many years as a pastor, teacher, and staunch defender of the inerrancy of the scriptures have respectfully earned him the title of a pastor's pastor. He is a true Watchman on the wall, a faithful servant, and committed purveyor of Biblical Truth.

This book provides an amazing historical account of the influence of "the seminal seeds that corrupted not only the major denominational churches, but specifically the conservative believing folks in these churches."

The postmodern movement has made its way into the Church through many anti-Christian thinkers over the years by the accommodation and compromise of those who have departed from the inerrancy of Scripture.

Postmodern thought creates serious consequences within society as a whole. It carries with it no moral boundaries, and a denial of absolute truth. It rejects the foundation for objective beliefs, and the Christian faith.

Today, there are many groups who identify with Christianity yet promote false doctrines. The Emergent groups spreading throughout the Church are wolves in sheep's clothing. Their deception is reaching the masses and they are conforming to the spirit of this age. The spirit of the anti-Christ in this postmodern world is radically reshaping Christianity and perverting biblical truth.

Romans 12:2

"Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

"LIKE CASCADING DOMINOES the intentional departure from believing the Bible is inerrant has plunged the church of the 21st century down the treacherous slippery slope of accommodation and compromise."

Paul takes us back to the roots of a 1905 meeting in Manhattan, NY by a group of strategic individuals who were committed to the writings of Karl Marx. These individuals planned and implemented the infiltration of these ideologies into the learning centers, media, government structures and churches of American society.

Living in the twenty-first century in America, we have watched a major Paradigm Shift affecting the mindset of many evangelical pastors. This shift includes the "New Evangelical" push for the church to become postmodern in order to "reach" a secular America, a reach of compromise and denial of biblical truths.

The birth of the Emergent Church began with key players such as Peter Drucker, Rick Warren, Bob Buford, and C. Peter Wagoner, with a vision for an "optimum community"…a “focusing on unity and a worldwide oneness reflected in the growing union between Eastern and Western cultures and thinking.” (p. 168) Rick Warren has modeled this postmodern Church at his “purpose driven” Saddleback Church.

"The rise and development of the Emerging Church Movement became both a significant collaborator and delivery system for the major paradigm shift that has affected and infiltrated the mindset of many evangelical pastors."

Paul’s research for this book provides solid documentation of the plunge towards apostasy, the deep compromise of foundational truth made by once solid Christian Institutions, and the men who made them.

Incredibly, there are more than forty boxes of files and records collected by Dr. Harold Lindsell covering his days at Fuller Seminary. These records include correspondence between Charles Fuller and Dr. Lindsell which document Fuller's historical drift away from the authority of the Scriptures. He traces the influence of Karl Barth’s neo-orthodox beliefs that some portions of Scripture are revelatory and some portions are not. He exposes the further erosion of Fuller after embracing heretical neo-orthodox views by way of applying the Bible to sociological, political and economical issues.

It was Fuller, himself, who played a key role in abandoning the doctrine of biblical inerrancy. The chaos this departure has made within the church is so evident today through the rise of a Social Gospel, Mysticism, Feminism, the Emergent Church and Church Growth movements, the New Missiology, the New Apostolic Reformation and their leaders. “The downhill ride on the slippery slope picked up more influential people in America and evolved into a most ominous unbiblical Emerging movement.”

“Emergent church leaders are focused on unity and a worldwide oneness reflected in the growing union between Eastern and Western cultures and thinking.” (p. 168)

These groups delight in naming their perversions “NEW”, yet the Bible clearly states in Ecclesiastes 1:9 that, “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”

Satan has been twisting God’s truth since the beginning, and it will continue until the Lord deals with him at the end of the age.

These leaders of lies have sold their souls for success and the praise of men. They will establish their New World Order, prostitute the church, and bring judgment upon the earth.

There is a Kingdom of Light and a Kingdom of Darkness. While these pied pipers lead the way, the apostate heart will gladly follow the unfortunate path to hell.

The church needs to wake up and heed the warnings to come out from among them and be ye separate..."Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:13

Paul ends this book with a clear Gospel message, the hope of our promise and the comfort of these words:

“How glorious it will be when we hear a loud voice from heaven saying,

“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4

“Therefore, comfort on another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:18)

Obviously, what is happening in the world today is the dark work of Satan, the god of this world, who is nearing his day of judgment. “But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:57-58”

This book is my number one pick of "must reads" for the year. It should be read by every pastor called of God. I would encourage you to buy a copy and give it to your pastor to read. Many true men of God are crying out warnings that the believer in Christ not to be deceived in these last days. My Christian friend, I pray that you will heed the warning. Read more!

Eyes to See, Ears to Hear, Hearts to Understand and Obey – Part One of Two

In the John Wayne film, McClintock, George Washington McClintock (Wayne) saw Mrs. Warren, the housekeeper and cook (Yvonne DeCarlo) going up the stairs of the McClintock residence and offered a hand in ‘helping’ her up in his somewhat inebriated state. As they near the top, they lose their balance and tumble back down the stairs, with Mrs. Warren landing on top of him. The commotion brings out Katherine McClintock (Maureen O’Hara), estranged wife of G.W. and when she sees the situation at the base of the stairs, her eyes blaze with indignation.

Immediately G.W. understands her suspicion of foul play with the household help and speaks up before his wife has a chance to lay an accusation and says in typical ‘Wayne-ian’ fashion,

“Now Katherine, are ya gunna believe what ya see, or what I tell ya?”

The Battle of Life Continues – From Vanquishment to Victory

Once the study of this chapter from the book of Joshua is completed, we will move onward in our Old Testament Tour of Triumph and examine other passages that speak of the spiritual warfare that is our present (but not eternal) reality. One day, we will lay down our ‘sword’ for the grand conflict of the ages of this world will have ended. Satan and the entirety of his kingdom will be expunged from the world which God created, forever bound in Gehenna and the parenthetical evil that was let loose by Luciferian design will finally be over with!

Until then however, we have much to contend against our chief adversary, and we must learn our battle tactics well, and execute them in militant fashion, standing firmly in the strength “of the LORD and in the power of HIS Might”.

TTUF Profiles On: Robert Muller "FORTH COMES The GLOBAL EDUCRATS – Part Three of Three"

And now the third part of this article in the continuing series of TTUF Profiles on various “Radicals and their worldviews that rule America from the grave” based primarily on Brannon Howse’s book of the same name, is here for your review.

Imagine if a General was about to receive some military Intel on positions and strengths of his enemy, but declined it as being “unnecessary, negative, non-productive and 'hurtful to the cause'." And rather, wanted to focus on the positive, the relevant, and “that which builds up”. How long do you think it would be before that General was replaced with another that rightly perceived such information as needful in order to wage a successful campaign against the enemy?

In our supreme struggle against the subtle enemy of the church, we are not to be “ignorant of his devices” 2 COR 2:10-11 whether he chooses to use unforgiveness and bitterness or spiritual leaven (unbiblical teaching – such as the sort our children and students here in America are inundated with in our public indoctrination centers (and yes, it is spiritual!) or public schools as they are more commonly known) to cause division in the body of Christ.
Certainly there can be no greater division or more accurately, departure from the Word of God (2 TIM 3:1-7; 1 TIM 4:1) than when scores of students numbering in the hundreds of thousands across our nation leave the faith in favor of a global Humanist, Evolutionary worldview!

TTUF Profiles On: Benjamin Bloom - FORTH COMES The GLOBAL EDUCRATS – Part Two of Three

In this second part of this article we will now turn our attention to another Global ‘Educrat’, one Benjamin Bloom who has made some comparable contributions towards the ideals of Humanist philosophies and global unity, while at the same time teaching students to be critical in their thinking – towards the ideas of family, parents, traditional Judeo-Christian ethics, pastors and churches, a biblical worldview, etc.

A primary vehicle that Mr. Bloom utilized was something that we have heard of before, and was exposed in the ‘80’s by various (Christian) authors such as Berit Kjos from Crossroads ministries (we will hear from her shortly), called O.B.E. or Outcome Based Education. Yet this same godless philosophy has run rampant and reigns in today's halls of learning: the terms, names and phrases of this system has simply been changed to protect the guilty!
