We continue now with this article, and wish to share some more rather startling statistics that reveals the grim situation we are in; how the porn problem is pandemic in our society. May we as Christians pray fervently that this demonic bondage is broken over the lives of people who’ve been snared in these lethal sins!

INTERNET PORNOGRAPHY BY THE NUMBERS; A SIGNIFICANT THREAT TO SOCIETY –

·        Every second 28,258 users are watching pornography on the internet

·        Every second $3,075.64 is being spent on pornography on the internet

·        Every second 372 people are typing the word "adult" into search engines

·        40 million American people regularly visit porn sites

·        35% of all internet downloads are related to pornography

·        25% of all search engine queries are related to pornography, or about 68 million search queries a day.

·        One third of porn viewers are women

·        Search engines get 116,000 queries every day related to child pornography

·        34% of internet users have experienced unwanted exposure to pornographic content through ads, pop up ads, misdirected links or emails

·        2.5 billion emails sent or received every day contain porn

·        Every 39 minutes a new pornography video is being created in the United States

·        About 200,000 Americans are “porn addicts”

YOUTH PORN STATS –

·        Teenagers with frequent exposure to sexual content on TV have a substantially greater likelihood of teenage pregnancy; and the likelihood of teen pregnancy was twice as high when the quantity of sexual content exposure within the viewing episodes was high.

·        Pornography viewing by teens disorients them during the developmental phase when they have to learn how to handle their sexuality and when they are most vulnerable to uncertainty about their sexual beliefs and moral values

·        A significant relationship also exists among teens between frequent pornography use and feelings of loneliness, including major depression.

·        Adolescents exposed to high levels of pornography have lower levels of sexual self-esteem.

FAMILY/MARITAL PORN STATS –

·        According to National Coalition for the Protection of Children & Families, 2010, 47% of families in the United States reported that pornography is a problem in their home.

·        Pornography use increases the marital infidelity rate by more than 300%

·        40 percent of “sex addicts” lose their spouses, 58 percent suffer considerable financial losses, and about a third lose their jobs.

·        68% of divorce cases involve one party meeting a new paramour over the internet while 56% involve one party having an “obsessive interest” in pornographic websites.

It is no small wonder that this method of information storage/retrieval is called the World Wide WEB, and the InterNET! Where porn is concerned, it is most absolutely a snare (PSALM 106:36) to our souls and to society at large!

Josh McDowell, author of best-selling book Evidence That Demands a Verdict says, “Porn is probably the greatest threat to the church in its existence.” He . . . commissioned Barna Group to conduct a sweeping, comprehensive survey on pornography in America:

As a result, the key findings of Barna’s study deserve serious attention:

·        Young Americans do not think pornography is a negative thing. When they speak about pornography with friends, 90 percent of teens (ages 13 to 17) and 96 percent of young adults (ages 18 to 24) say they do so in a neutral, accepting or encouraging way. Only 1 in 20 young adults and 1 in 10 teens say their friends think viewing pornography is a bad thing. Teens and young adults say “not recycling” is more immoral than viewing pornography.

·        Most teens are “sexting.” 66 percent of teens and young adults have received a sexually explicit image via text and 41 percent have sent one. More girls than boys have sent explicit images, Stone notes, which may mean that young males are often the ones pressuring their female friends to take off their clothes.

·        Porn is not just a “male matter” anymore. While men have traditionally consumed pornography at a much higher rate than women, it appears females (particularly younger ones) are starting to catch up. 33 percent of women ages 13 to 24 seek out porn at least once per month.

·        Americans agree certain types of porn are negative. Overwhelming majorities of Americans across generations believe that porn depicting children under the age of 12 and depictions of non-consensual sex acts are “always wrong.” Less than 25 percent of Americans say same-sex pornography is “always wrong.”

·        Fewer pastors struggle with porn than you might expect — or so they say. Fourteen percent of pastors and 21 percent of youth pastors say they struggle with porn. If this seems low, it is possible a social desirability bias makes pastors less likely to fess up.

·        Pastors who struggle with porn feel fear and guilt. 87 percent of pastors who say they struggle with porn feel “a great sense of shame” and 55 percent “live in constant fear of being discovered.”

·        Many Christians believe pastors caught viewing porn should be ousted from the church. 41 percent of adult Christians think a pastor should be fired or asked to resign if found to be using porn. Only 8 percent of pastors say the same, favoring solutions such as counseling, accountability and mentors instead.

·        Pastors aren’t convinced porn use is a top problem among their congregants. 38 percent of pastors call pornography a “major” or “significant” problem in their congregation. A majority of pastors say that spiritual immaturity, lack of biblical knowledge, pride and lack of church involvement are more serious issues.

In the Bible, leaven (yeast) is compared to sin and both share the characteristic of a contagion – something that spreads and infects (1 COR 5:6-7; GAL 5:9). The kingdom of darkness has a vested interest in infecting souls, whether sinners or saints to the greatest depths possible, deepening the bondage to sin; porn is an invaluable tool of Satan’s towards this end, for it serves as a doorway to other things:

It promotes sexual promiscuity and lust, it lowers the barriers of those who might not otherwise consider sexual experiences other than the legitimate kind as designed by God between a man and woman joined in holy matrimony.

I’d like to raise the objection of porn users, that just because they are consumers of these products, that doesn’t mean that they will by course, be unfaithful to their spouse, conduct themselves in a promiscuous fashion, much less go out and rape and murder as some have done (see the video interview with Dr. James Dobson and the late Ted Bundy, porn addict, rapist and murderer below).

The LORD said in the Gospel of MATTHEW:

MATTHEW 5:27-29
27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Sexual union between a man and woman is ordained by God Who created sex to begin with, for the purpose of procreation, as well as bringing intimacy between husband and wife and pleasure. But in God’s economy, this is to be restricted to only those who are married; a blessing and a right to those committed before God and witnesses to belong to the LORD and each other forever, “til death (NOT divorce!) do us part”

Anyone who engages in sexual intercourse outside of the bonds of marriage is guilty of fornication. They will be judged for that sin on Judgment Day.
And as the Scripture states above, any who looks on [another] with lust in their heart, has committed adultery already, in the sense that the agreeableness of such an idea resides in the mind of those who view such things. This is why we must deal with sin with such severity; anything that leads us into temptation and lust and then sin, must be cut off from our lives with a radical attitude comparable to “cut[ting] off hand[s]”, and “pluck[ing] out eye[s]”!

Our sinful nature is never satisfied with one level of sin (PROV 27:20); it will always want more – rapists and serial killers weren’t spawned over night; many of them started out with ‘soft porn’, which led to ‘hardcore’ which further led to perverted sexual practices (with those willing to so engage in such), and, or rape (of those unwilling) and murder. Any who views porn has the potential to get snared into deeper and darker actions - why take such a terrible risk of spiritual 'Russian Roulette'?

It enflames such sexual desires in some, that they are led by their overwhelming lusts to seek out gratification (PROV 6:27), even if it involves rape and, or incest. It destroys personal integrity, can lead to physical destruction – where such unlawful encounters infect the offender and, or victim with venereal diseases, financial ruin and other tragic losses.

Impregnation as a result of these unlawful encounters may lead to abortion and in some cases cause enough damage as to make a female infertile. Drug use and alcoholism is often a part of this sensually sinful society of porn addicts as well as the common variety ‘party scene’. If this isn’t darkness, what is?

And yet, it can get darker still:

One person who knew well the addiction, the shame, the destructiveness and ultimate end of porn and all that it is associated with, is the now deceased Ted Bundy, who was executed for his crimes on JAN 24, 1989. Watch this 30-minute video where Dr. James Dobson interviewed Mr. Bundy, serial killer of several women and girls after raping them, and how it all began: with pornography . . . “he described the agony of his addiction to pornography. Bundy goes back to his roots, explaining the development of his compulsive behavior. He reveals his addiction to hard-core pornography and how it fueled the terrible crimes he committed.”

DR. DOBSON Interviews TED BUNDY, Serial Killer

While fully admitting his own responsibility for his crimes, he states that the porn which he consumed was a primary contributing factor that fueled his lust to act out and engage in the same brutal sexual assaults that he viewed consistently.

When Ted Bundy was thirteen years old, he discovered “dirty magazines” in a dump near his home. He was instantly captivated by them. In time, Bundy became more and more addicted to violent images in magazines and videos. He got his kicks from seeing women being tortured and murdered. When he tired of that, there was only one place his addiction could go - from fantasy to reality.

And darker still – the world of child porn – these victims of vile violence

And sexual violence perpetrated upon young boys at the hands of satanic occultists, as Greg Reid described in his book, The COLOR of PAIN.
Greg relates the fact that Satanic organizations and covens routinely fund their people by selling drugs and producing porn – even snuff films (films of porn where the victim is killed at the end).

Yes, today Western civilization is undergoing a dramatic cultural shift. In just a few short years our society has fundamentally altered the meaning of marriage, embraced the notion that men can become women, and are now promoting the idea that grown men should be welcome to share a bathroom with women and young girls. Not unexpectedly, we’re also seeing movement toward the normalization of polygamy, pedophilia, and incest…

[The Bohemian Grove] is a pagan event where our top Luciferian politicians and businessmen go once a year to practice paganism, including all sorts of sexual acts…Every July, some of the richest and most powerful men in the world gather at a 2,700 acre campground in Monte Rio, Calif., for two weeks of heavy drinking, super-secret talks, druid worship (the group insists they are simply “revering the Redwoods”), and other rituals.

I warned this was coming because the Supreme Court legalizing “homosexual marriage” has opened the flood gates of sin upon America.
Unless there is a spiritual revival, it is impossible to stop the nation’s descent into hell. America is closing in on the final sin which triggers God wrath on a nation which is bestiality!

The bottom line for the reprobates is pedophilia since this seems to be their goal, which is to turn innocent children into sexual monsters just like they are. Pedophilia is a burning destructive lust right from hell…

Efforts to normalize sex with animals as an accepted lifestyle choice resulted in one documentary winning an award this year that idolizes a sexual relationship between a man and his bottlenose dolphin lover.

The 40-year movement to legalize sexual interaction with children is working. People are publicly advocating without shame: “I’m a pedophile, but not a monster;” and, “pedophilia is natural and normal for males.”

Now, incest activists in the consanguinamorous community argue it’s their turn to have their sexual preference and lifestyle choice validated socially and legally.

Because of a case in New Mexico that’s making national headlines, incest activists argue exactly what homosexuals argued to normalize incest.

This has been a very difficult article to write; I can think of little subject matter that is as dark and despairing as this. Yet as the Scripture states:

ROMANS 5:20
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

For those bound in this dreadfully tenacious sin, there is indeed hope, for CHRIST JESUS came to set the captives free!

LUKE 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

For those who desire to be set free of their sin, whatever it may be, whether porn addiction or anything else, come in repentance to the LORD, and He will receive you and save you: no matter what depths of sin you have ever known, He will not turn away any that come to Him (JOHN 6:37).
