"We see, in many a land, the proudest dynasties and tyrannies still crushing, with their mountain weight, every free motion of the Consciences and hearts of men. We see, on the other hand, the truest heroism for the right and the greatest devotion to the Truth in hearts that God has touched. We have a work to do, as great as our forefathers and, perhaps, far greater. The enemies of Truth are more numerous and subtle than ever and the needs of the Church are greater than at any preceding time. If we are not debtors to the present, then men were never debtors to their age and their time. Brethren, we are debtors to the hour in which we live. Oh, that we might stamp it with Truth and that God might help us to impress upon its wings some proof that it has not flown by neglected and unheeded." -- C.H. Spurgeon . . . "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31, 32

~~ By James Fire

In the previous segment of this article we examined how evangelical Christianity has allied itself with Roman Catholicism through such agreements as Evangelicals and Catholics Together (E.C.T.) and such movements as Promise Keepers; these were used to unite both in social and moral objectives such as commitment to marriage and family, pro-life, anti-pornography, Drug-free America, etc. To share the common bond of Christian religion for the purpose of evangelizing the lost, but not Roman Catholics (though the RCC has objectives to convert evangelicals, as we shall see).

In more recent times there has emerged another movement that is a bit more covert in its operations, but nonetheless is intent on compromising biblical Christians with the same fundamentals as found in Roman Catholicism; a melding if you will of that which was once faithful to the LORD Jesus Christ and His inerrant Word but has now become increasingly apostate with a consenting conglomeration of ecclesial authority for global religion. Of course the Roman Catholic Church will spear head such a world wide endeavor and consider herself its undisputed leader.

Again, to reiterate what I’ve stated before, in REVELATION 17, scripture portrays a vision as given to John the Apostle by the LORD Jesus Christ of a woman, clothed in purple and scarlet . . .

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

Note that this woman is referred to as “the mother of harlots” that is, the origin of all false religious systems, which of course is Babel (and later, Babylon). Much of the pagan culture, customs, traditions and observances of Babylon have been preserved by subsequent religious systems found in nations throughout history, and found a home in the Roman culture, which was then transferred into a homogenized blending of Christianity and many of the primary false religious systems into what we recognize as the Roman Catholic Church.

~~ end of update.

For the following articles in this series, I will be quoting primarily from two sources, both of which deal with the Emergent Church Movement. These two books reveal how much of the ECM associates with practices long held within the RCC as well as the New Age Movement (NAM).

Faith Undone by Roger Oakland and
Trojan Church by Greg Reid.

From Faith Undone we shall see how Roman Catholic and ‘Catholic’ traditions, dogmas and practices have and are increasingly making headway into evangelical churches.

In Trojan Church we shall witness how the occult and New Age teachings are likewise invading the once biblical churches here in America under the guise of the ECM.

All of this is being done in the supreme effort of bringing about a one world religion. If you believe this paradigm shift is irrelevant to you and your fellowship, you will be caught by surprise, as were many people who used to attend such churches that once were faithful in teaching and preaching from the Word of God!

It’s imperative that Christians get up to speed, get informed, and prayerfully seek the LORD for guidance and discernment in these very serious matters. A good start would be to read and research from the books already mentioned above, and of course study the scriptures for oneself and become a Berean (ACTS 17:11).

So let’s begin looking at excerpts from Roger Oakland’s book, Faith Undone:

“The point I am making is simple: When leaders who profess to be Christian intentionally or unintentionally hide God’s Word from people, the darkness this creates leads to a desire for spiritual encounters (experiences). In order to convince followers they are being spiritually fed by these Bible-depleted teachings, leaders implement all kinds of experience-based religious rituals and paraphernalia- thus, the reason that icons, candles, incense, liturgy and sacraments are deemed necessary for the emerging worship-experience.”
Pg. 50

Doug Pagitt is an Emergent Church leader, and in his own words, he had this to say:

“During a recent Life Development Forum we offered a session on Christian practices. In one of the four weeks we introduced the act of making the sign of the cross on ourselves. This gesture has become a very powerful experience for me. It is rich with meaning and history and is such a simple way to proclaim and pray my faith with my body . . .” Pg. 51
-from Doug Pagitt’s book Church Re-Imagined, p. 102

Rob Redman, author of The Great Worship Awakening agrees with Dan Kimball (that people are hungry to ‘experience God’). He has noted that churches which provide liturgical vintage forms of worship are attracting the postmodern generation . . . the result of this renewed interest in liturgical worship, a ‘worship awakening’ is now underway, and Protestant worship services are beginning to incorporate liturgical practices.”

“An article entitled ‘Ancient New’ further backs up the idea that post-moderns are looking for a sensual, experiential worship:

Post-modernists prefer to encounter Christ by using all of their senses. That’s part of the appeal of classical liturgical or contemplative worship: the incense and candles, making the sign of the cross, the taste and smell of the bread and wine, touching icons and being anointed with oil.
-from Julie B. Sevig, The Lutheran, “Ancient New” (The Lutheran, Sept. 2001)

Leonard Sweet, another Emergent Church leader, stated:

“Post-moderns want a God they can feel, taste, touch, hear and smell—a full sensory immersion in the divine.” Pg. 58-59
-citation by Sevig on Sweet’s book Soul Tsunami

It’s interesting to note that the word “sensual” appears twice in the New Testament, and in both cases (JAMES 3:15 and JUDE:19) it has an entirely unwholesome, sinful meaning.

Jesus stated that those who worship God must worship Him “. . . in Spirit and in Truth.” JOHN 4: 24.
Perhaps the reason why these people are “hungry to experience God” is because they have never experienced Him, due to the fact that they are ‘post-modernists’ which is to say, they have extended their belief systems beyond modernist (modernism is an intellectual denial of Christian Truth and of the inspiration of scripture as the inerrant Word of God) teachings yet use said belief system as a base for their own erection of religious thought.

If one is to experience God, one must first have a relationship with God, and in order for this to happen, you must become His child (much to the chagrin of the general consensus of religious people everywhere, we humans are NOT by nature God’s children). If you would become a child of God, you must be granted divine authority to do so, and this authority is indeed granted to all who are born of God, that is, to be born of His Spirit via the atonement of Christ Jesus who was offered for the sins of the world.
See JOHN 1:12-13; 3:3-5; TITUS 3:5-6; 1 PETER 1:23; 2 PETER 1:3-4.

“The Bible says that ‘faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God [i.e., an intellectual and cognitive approach]’ ROMANS 10:17.

“Not so in the emerging church. Faith comes by seeing images, touching icons, smelling incense, and hearing chants and liturgical recitations; then the ‘word’ follows. Leonard Sweet calls it ‘E.P.I.C. culture: Experiential, Participatory, Image-driven, Connected’ Icons of Jesus hanging on the cross are common. So are icons of Mary and baby Jesus.” Pg. 59
-from Postmodern Pilgrims by Leonard Sweet; Nashville, Tenn. Broadman & Holman Publishers, 2000.

An article written by Worship Leader Magazine editor Chuck Fromm states:

“In many ways the Church is seeking a way back to its oldest and most sacred traditions: those in which all the senses are fully engaged in the act of worship from incense and bells to icons and vestments. The power of the preached words is being augmented, and occasionally outpaced, by the impact of the visual. The primacy of music is an essential expression of worship being challenged by congregations hungry for more direct means of engagement.” Pg. 60
-from The Impact of the Image by Chuck Fromm (Worship Leader Magazine, Jan-Feb 2005),

Again, if they want to sate their hunger for God by experiencing Him “more direct[ly]” they can do no better than to be infused by the very Spirit of God Himself, via the new birth, and in such a way, become a veritable living temple for the Living God Who yearns to live within and through us (1 COR.3:16).

Why haven’t these people been taught in their own churches about the new birth available in Christ Jesus, the Savior of the world? Or perhaps they were, but they were disillusioned and bitter because the lives of those teachers and pastors didn’t line up with what they preached. Or it could be that they simply rejected such teaching outright in favor of views more palatable to the world in which they live.

Perhaps you, the reader are one such individual who sought answers in your fellowship to meet your own hunger of God, but left disappointed. May I encourage you to seek God with all your heart and read the Bible for yourself, for God is indeed a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him! HEBREWS 11:6.

Might I also recommend to you an article found on this site, “A Serious and Simple Gospel of Salvation”? I pray that it might provide some answers for you in your search for reality with God, and His purpose for your life.

Getting back to Faith Undone . . .

Here is a quote from Dan Kimball: “In the emerging culture, darkness represents spirituality. We see this in Buddhist temples as well as Catholic and Orthodox churches. Darkness communicates that something serious is happening.”
-from The Emerging Church by Dan Kimball, p. 136

Another Emergent leader was the late Robert Webber, one of the foremost authorities on worship renewal.

“Before his appointment to his position at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, Webber taught at Wheaton College for 32 years as Professor of Theology. He authored over forty books and was also a regular contributor to numerous magazines and newspapers including Worship Leader.

“Here is an excerpt from an article he wrote entitled: “Wanted: Ancient Future Talent” –

“‘I am personally most gratified to see the shift towards a recovery of the ancient. While many good choruses have been produced over the past forty years, the rejection of the sources of hymnody and worship by the contemporary church has resulted in a faith that is an inch deep.’”

What he lists as necessary for a successful worship movement are as follows:

“Rediscovering how God acts through sacred signs of water, bread and wine, oil and laying on of hands.

“Rediscovering the central nature (emphasis added) of the table of the Lord in the Lord’s Supper, breaking of bread, communion and Eucharist. (note to readers: there is a world of difference between observing the LORD’s Supper and participating in the Eucharist! For a comprehensive analysis of this, please visit this web site article by C.A.R.M., which is a site also linked at TTUF:

The Untruth of Transubstantiation

“Webber was very influential in closing the gap between Eucharistic adoration and the evangelical church. A document he authored called A Call to an Ancient Evangelical Future states: “We call for a renewed consideration of how God ministers to us in . . . Eucharist. Two well known evangelical publishers, Baker Books and InterVarsity Press (both of which now publish emerging church authors) sponsored the document as did Christianity Today.” Pg. 135

“Rediscovering congregational spirituality though the Christian celebration in Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week, Easter and Pentecost.”
Pg. 65

Webber, in addition to encouraging such participation in these rituals, and Catholic celebrations, also endorses an adherence to mystical practices, stemming directly from the early church fathers who were Catholic.

Let the reader be reminded that one of the titles of the “Mother of Harlots” as quoted in REVELATION chapter 17 is “Mystery”. Mystical practices, ceremonies and beliefs are all central to what the one world church will look like. With that in mind, read on:

“The primary source of spiritual reading is the Bible. But we now we recognize that in our love of Scripture, we dare not avoid the mystics and activists (emphasis added). Exposure to the great devotional literature of the church is essential. More and more people are turning to the great work of the mystics. Richard Foster has called us to recover Augustine’s Confessions, Bernard of Clairvaux’s The Steps of Humility.”

Webber, for all appearances, a respected evangelical with years of scholastic achievement and experience, endorses such books written by:

Thomas a Kempis, Meister Eckhart, Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, Thomas Aquinas, Thomas Merton and others. All of these, without exception, are Catholic authors, and he commented that “Those who neglect these works do so to their own harm and those who read them do so for their inspiration and spiritual growth.”

These authors, mystics of the Catholic faith, have another commonality, which is they have all seen visions of an apparitional woman they believed to be Mary, the mother of Jesus. Webber documents this in a book, Saints Who Saw Mary. Such mystics are listed in the book: Francis of Assissi, Catherine of Siena, Theresa of Avila, John of the Cross, Ignatius of Loyola, and Bernard of Clairvaux. Pg. 65

There are those that would make the distinction between ‘Catholic’ and ‘Roman Catholic’ and claim that such mystics and writings as mentioned above are not from Roman Catholic sources. However, as Oakland points out, the Roman Catholic Church claims successorship of the Popes, beginning with Peter, and that all Catholic practices, teachings and dogmas throughout the period of the early church and church fathers are incorporated into their theology.

Thus to practice Catholicism, is to adhere to that which the Roman Catholic Church claims as its own.

As one advocate of ‘ancient faith’ and of the church fathers posed:

“But why do we study them? The Holy Father (Pope) has given us the basic reasons. These are the framers of the structure of the Church built upon Christ Jesus as the cornerstone and the Apostles as the foundation. Specifically, they are the privileged witnesses of traditions. Founders, whether they be founders of institutions or founders of religious societies, always have a privileged position . . . They were the closest sources; the early Fathers, referred to as Apostolic Fathers, personally knew the Apostles and Disciples. They had access to the purity of the sources of the living tradition, the very teachings of those closest to Christ, and they were the ones that developed the first structures of the Church.” Pg. 76

-from Importance of Studying the Church Fathers by Douglas Mosey; International Catholic University.

Father's and Mother

These are the same sources, these “framers of the structure of the Church”, that are exalted by Emergent Church leaders, whose teachings are extolled, even venerated as being authoritative far more than the scriptures themselves!

Yet we as Christians maintain that it’s the scriptures themselves, God’s Holy Word of Truth that is the framer of the true church. Its books and verses are the very substance of spiritual parameters and guidance, without which the church would be adrift on a storming sea of erroneous doctrine and devastation without an anchor! See: ISAIAH 28:10-13; EPHESIANS 4:14
The claim is, that because these ‘Apostolic Fathers’ were personally knowledgeable of the Apostles and Disciples, and of the pure source (of what they call ‘living tradition’) of the scriptures, that these are somehow worthy of an audience, as being legitimate teachers and guides into spiritual truth and doctrine.

On the contrary, one of the very Twelve was Judas Iscariot; he had personal knowledge of Jesus Christ Himself, and heard the pure teaching from God Incarnate, and yet he would hardly be a reputable source for Christians to receive teaching from (remarkably, there are those that give credence to a forged document purportedly written by Judas Iscariot, entitled The Gospel According to Judas, a Gnostic writing)!

Some of the greatest heretics throughout church history had access to the best schools, seminaries, and teachings but were nonetheless unsuitable as sources of biblical teaching or “living traditions”.

The apostle Paul even declared to the elders of Ephesus:

ACTS 20:30
Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them

And later when the LORD Jesus addressed the church of Ephesus in Revelation chapter two, He said:

REV 2:6, 15
But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

It was the deeds and doctrine of the Nicolaitans that the LORD Jesus hated. This is a strong word for Love Incarnate to use, and we would be wise to avoid that which our LORD hates. In this case, the Nicolaitans were among the very first to promote the idea of a priestly clergy that stood as intermediaries between the ‘common’ Christians (laity) and the LORD God. They were lords (Niko- to conquer, to lord over) over the people who were deemed less worthy of spiritual things!

We will continue this article and review more of Roger Oakland’s book, FAITH UNDONE, as well as other source materials in the next article. Until then, keep yourselves in the love of God! JUDE :21

~~ by James Fire

In this article we will look at a document that was established in March of ’94 called the E.C.T. (Evangelicals and Catholics Together) and associated organizations whose goals are the same.

We will also consider how the Emergent Church Movement is likewise compromising evangelical, Bible-based Christianity to conform to ideas, thoughts and beliefs that are more in line with Roman Catholicism than they are with scripture.

Also, we’ll see how both elements are effectually working together to germinate that which is seen in scripture as The MOTHER of HARLOTS as found in Revelation Ch. 17, will be addressed.

First, a bit of history: LAMBASTE By LUTHER -

In the year 1517 in the city of Wittenberg, Germany the echoing sound of Martin Luther’s hammer was heard by those who passed by the castle church where he pastored as a priest in the Roman Catholic church.
This was the famous 95 Theses that he wrote up in protest against some (certainly not all) of the practices of the Roman Catholic church. To view this document, please look at this site:

Luther's 95 Theses

As you may have observed, Martin’s primary concern was the abuse of the church preying upon the laity in coercing indulgences for the remission of sins, and to relieve those banished to purgatory so that they could enter heaven more expeditiously.

In what’s been known as the Protestant Reformation there have been many before Martin Luther, and many after him, that have oppossed the Roman Catholic church for the heresies it promoted through the centuries; doctrinal errors that they still adhere to today, regardless of any supposed changes ‘for the better’ out of Vatican II.

Many such souls who adhered to “sola fide” and “sola scriptora” (that is, “by faith alone in grace alone is a soul saved, meaning that one is justified by Christ’s atoning work on the cross, without any merit or works involved in said process” and “by the scriptures, which are the Word of God we have our ultimate and singular authority for the church, without need of a pope, cardinal, bishop or priest” respectively) and sought to protect the scriptures in their pure form (Textus Receptus) which the Roman Catholic church actively sought to destroy, as well as those who refused to submit to the dogmas of the church. Such concepts as “sola fide” and “sola scriptora” are opposed still by the Roman Catholic church.

Jews in the past, and even today see Gentiles as ‘Christians’ and are loathe to trust them, particularly European Gentiles as these are perceived as the very same Christians who were responsible for the Holocaust; Hitler and Mussolini, in the minds of the Jews were ‘Christians’ when in fact they were Roman Catholics (by name). Talk to any Jewish person, and they’d be surprised to learn that the Roman Catholic church murdered more Christians than they ever did Jews! It’s a historical fact that in one afternoon, one Pope murdered more Christians than any Roman Caesar during his entire reign!

Dave Hunt quotes historian Peter De Rosa:

The history of the church became the history of heresies and the persecution of those who opposed them. Historian Peter de Rosa, himself a Roman Catholic, admits that Catholicism became "the most persecuting faith the world has ever seen.... [Pope] Innocent III murdered far more Christians in one afternoon...than any Roman emperor did in his entire reign."8 Will Durant writes candidly,
Compared with the persecution of heresy [by the Roman Catholic Church] ...the persecution of Christians by [pagan] Romans...was a mild and humane procedure.9

To read the entire article in all its disturbing details, read the following:

A History of Heresies

Christians such as the Waldenses and the Albigeneans as well as the Anabaptists and others throughout the centuries were ruthlessly sought out, persecuted, tortured and killed for their refusal to bow the knee to Rome. Christians held on tenaciously to the Holy Scriptures and to their teachings of “salvation by grace, through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, apart from the use of sacraments as instruments of conveyance.”

UPDATE: 5-14-12 From Paul Flynns, Megiddo Radio we have the following broadcast, The Woman Drunk with the Blood of the Saints that gets into more of the history of the Roman Catholic church's persecution against and martyrdom upon biblical Christians.
~ ~ end of UPDATE.

Please understand its not my intention to promote hatred of Roman Catholics, bigotry or unnecessary opposition (I was once a Roman Catholic myself that intended on entering the priesthood); what my intentions are is that we accurately recognize the doctrinal differences between the Roman Catholic Church and the Bible, and that we as Christians remain distinct and uncompromised against influences that would seek to homogenize all Christian bodies, churches, and fellowships in unity with that church or a world religious movement which is inevitably coming on the global scene!

In the last two decades, evangelicals who claimed to believe the same things as these Protestants from ages before have joined hands with the Roman Catholic church, stating that there is no essential difference between themselves and their R.C.C. counterparts!

I speak primarily of the E.C.T. or “Evangelicals and Catholics Together” an Agreement between Catholics and Protestants (most especially evangelical, Bible believing Christians) that would ensure no evangelization or proselytizing between them; they made an agreement that on the fundamentals of doctrine they are either in agreement, or simply disagree agreeably on what is thought to be peripheral and unimportant doctrinally!

It is the hope of those signers of the E.C.T. to, as they say, “Re-Christianize” society.

Noted author and speaker, Dave Hunt comments:

“J. I. Packer (like Charles Colson [whose wife is Roman Catholic]), in a four-page Christianity Today article, justified signing ECT even though he admits that evangelicals and Catholics have considerable ‘differences about salvation and the church....’

Says Packer, we must together seek "to re-Christianize the North American milieu... [and] rebuild the ruins...[of] North American culture. In fact, no such ‘mission’ was ever assigned by Christ or pursued by early Christians!

“Promoting the same error, Christianity Today declared that ECT ‘should have been prepared and signed by all evangelicals three decades ago.’ Senior Editor Kenneth S. Kantzer wrote, ‘With the spread of moral rot that destroys the roots of a free and just society, we evangelicals need to close ranks with our Catholic neighbors. And with Mormons, conservative Jews, and secularists who share our values....’ Try to imagine Jesus or Paul in such an alliance!

“. . . devotion to political/social action encourages apostate ecumenism is clear. While admitting that ‘the doctrine of justification by faith...separates evangelicals and all Catholics,’ Kantzer approves E.C.T.'s declaration that ‘Attempts by evangelicals to win converts from Catholics...' undermine the Christian mission.’ What new Christian mission is this that denies the gospel to those who need it?! ECT bluntly says it is not "theologically legitimate" to evangelize ‘active’ Catholics!

“One would have to be blind not to perceive that much of the evangelical church is now following the same path of political / social action which Fuller Seminary has taken into compromise and ecumenism. Somewhere down this path an apostate church will welcome Antichrist. Only 35 short years ago Roman Catholicism was included among the "Modern Cults" about which Harold Lindsell warned his students in a course by that name at Fuller.4

“Today, in spite of its false gospel of works and ritual which millions of martyrs faithfully opposed to the death, Catholicism is embraced by our most trusted evangelical leaders!”

Traditional Dogma vs. Inspired Doctrine

More from Dave Hunt regarding this most significant and rather alarming event following:

“The most significant event in almost 500 years of church history took place March 29, 1994. Leading evangelicals and Catholics signed a joint declaration, "Evangelicals and Catholics Together: The Christian Mission in the 3rd Millennium." The document overturns the Reformation and does incalculable damage to the cause of Christ.”

Such notable signers of this ECT document are: Pat Robertson, Chuck Colson, R. J. Neuhaus, a Roman Catholic priest; J.I. Packer, John White: president of Geneva College and former president of the National Association of Evangelicals; the heads of the Home Mission Board and Christian Life Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, the nation's largest Protestant denomination; Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusaders for Christ; Mark Noll of Wheaton College; Os Guinness, Jesse Miranda, Richard Mouw, president of Fuller Seminary; Herbert Schlossberg and Roberts Simmonds.

Here are some quotes made by evangelicals re: Roman Catholic doctrine and the unity that supposedly exists between this church and evangelical views as stated by some of its leaders:

"I found that my beliefs are essentially the same as those of Orthodox Roman Catholic." --Dr. Billy Graham (18)

"We (Catholics and Evangelicals –ed) have differences, but on the ancient creeds and core beliefs of Christianity, we stand together." --Charles Colson (19)

"I don’t know anyone more dedicated to the great doctrines of Christianity than the Catholics." --W. A. Criswell (20)

"I am eradicating the word ‘protestant’ from my vocabulary . . . it’s time for Catholics and non-Catholics to come together as one." --Paul Crouch (21)

"In all the Pope’s writings…he has hundreds and hundreds of Bible verses. If I dare to say there are less [sic] than seven to ten thousand Bible verses in the new catechism, backing everything they say, I wouldn’t be exaggerating. And he makes a statement and backs it with the Word of God. “--Jack Van Impe (22)

UPDATE (2-22-10) on ECUMENISM Between Roman Catholics, Protestants and "Other Christian Communities":
Symposium For Ecumenism Held on 2-15-10

~~ end of UPDATE

Another aspect of this amalgamation of the R.C.C. and Evangelical Christians is something that was formed 4 years prior to the E.C.T. called: PROMISE KEEPERS

“In 1990, an organization was formed that has the potential to ignite the flames of ecumenism already present in the "evangelical community" into a raging inferno. This organization is Promise Keepers.

Promise Keepers (PK) was birthed into existence by former University of Colorado football coach, Bill McCartney (A Roman Catholic who has become a convert to charismaticism since visiting the Vineyard Fellowship Group in Boulder, CO).

PK has as its basic premise "to see men become the spiritual leaders in their homes and make a moral impact on their communities" (24). The book, The Seven Promises of a Promise Keeper, goes even further to declare that the book is "for any male who wants to: know his Creator better, be closer to his wife and children, tear down the walls of division [?], see the entire world come to know God’s love" (25).

This all sounds very pious and spiritual. However, based on the rampant ecumenism of our time, red flags should immediately be raised concerning "tear down the walls of division" and "see the entire world come to know God’s love." What are these walls of division? At what point in time is this reference to seeing "the entire world come to know God’s love?"

“Found within these two goals of Promise Keepers is a conduit to connect many "evangelicals" and other conservative Christians to the effort to build the One World Church. The second goal, "to see the entire world come to know God’s love," needs to be addressed first.

While the Lord Jesus Christ did indeed command His disciples to "go into the whole world and preach the gospel . . ." (Mark 16:15), nowhere does the Bible state that the entire world will know God’s love prior to the Millennial Reign of Christ.

There exists a theological belief system among some Evangelicals and Charismatics known as Dominion Theology. This theological system, led by notable Charismatics Pat Robertson, Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, and others declares the earth will be ruled by or come under the dominion of the Church.”

But what Church here will do the ruling? is the question in my mind. It seems progressively and more apparently clearer that the Roman Catholic church is seeking a unity among churches and even all world religions, spearheaded by Rome herself, forming a global church to spiritually reign over all the world; a direct fulfillment of “Dominion” and “Kingdom Now” theology and goals! As well as the theology and goals of the Roman Catholic Church!

To read more from the source of these quotes, and information regarding PROMISE KEEPERS, please look at (which has volumes of extremely valuable information on this subject):

From Faithful Witness To Worldly Religion

Now returning to Dave Hunt, he continues:

Pat Robertson's Christian Coalition will not witness to their "partners in action" for fear of offending them and breaking up the coalition. Such compromise laid the foundation for this alliance—a development monitored closely and approved by the Vatican.

“. . . I believe the document represents the most devastating blow against the gospel in at least 1,000 years. Already the declaration is being translated into Spanish, Polish, Portuguese and Russian for circulation throughout Latin America and Eastern Europe.’ Soon it will have a revolutionary impact worldwide.

“Having carefully read the 25-page fifth draft marked ‘Not for general circulation,’ I appreciate the loving concern for both truth and unity expressed therein. Some key differences between Catholics and evangelicals are noted without compromise. But the most important difference—what it means to be saved—is not mentioned and, in fact, is directly denied.

“Amazingly, the document claims that all Catholics are Christians, hold the same faith as evangelicals, and are our "brothers and sisters in Christ." If so, then the Reformation was a tragic mistake which we all must denounce! On this sad juncture in church history, the last words of Hugh Latimer ring in our conscience. Bound back-to-back to the stake with Nicholas Ridley, Latimer, England's most effective gospel preacher at that time, was heard to exclaim as the flames engulfed them,
"Be of good comfort, Master Ridley, and play the man. We shall this day, by God's grace, light such a candle in England as I pray shall never be put out."

“How incredible that the last spark of that Reformation "candle" is now being extinguished by evangelical leaders who owe so much to the very faithfulness of such martyrs!”

The Gospel Betrayed

Yet for all of this avoidance of evangelizing Roman Catholics by Evangelical Christians, the Roman Catholic church has stepped up its endeavors to convert Evangelicals! E.C.T. is all about compromising the Biblical beliefs of Christians and conditioning them in endorsing Roman Catholic views, dogmas, beliefs and agendas.

Any Roman Catholic that comes forward at a Billy Graham Crusade is referred back to Roman Catholic parishes from which they came. Bishops and cardinals joyously receive a Billy Graham Crusade in their cities for its then that their attendance at Mass increases significantly.

Evangelicals and Protestants are themselves becoming enamored with such Roman Catholic trappings as rituals and practices as seen demonstrated at any Mass, a devotion to the teachings of “Early Church Fathers (Roman Catholics) who were also founders of the Mystic movement, as well as an inordinate affection and even worship of Mary!

From Christianity Today, an article by Chris Armstrong entitled“Monastic Evangelicals” tells of this peculiar phenomena:

Monastic Evangelicals

“A growing number of evangelicals—younger evangelicals in particular—are maturing the movement in another way. They are taking their newfound love affair with Christian tradition and the early church beyond the realm of books and talk and into their churches and Christian lives. Covenant's Kenneth Stewart noted at the Wheaton conference that more and more traditionally evangelical congregations are now experimenting with advent candles, sampling practices associated with Lent, and marking Holy Week with special services like Tenebrae—an evening service featuring songs, readings, and the gradual extinguishing of lights to represent Christ's death.

“One aspect of these disciplines that has captured the imaginations of evangelicals is monasticism. In The New Faithful (2004), Colleen Carroll Campbell believes the public love affair with things monastic surged with the 1996 publication of Benedictine oblate Kathleen Norris's The Cloister Walk. Among evangelicals, the trend has extended to retreats at Catholic monasteries, recovery of Celtic spirituality, and observance of the divine hours. Not surprisingly (given the biblical focus of evangelicals), the slow, meditative monastic prayer technique called the lectio divina has captivated many. They have taken up the practice guided by such books as the three-volume Divine Hours by Phyllis Tickle, The Rhythm of God's Grace: Uncovering Morning and Evening Hours of Prayer by Mennonite professor Arthur Boers, and a book for youth, Divine Intervention: Encountering God Through the Ancient Practice of Lectio Divina, by Minneapolis Emergent leader Tony Jones.”

In a related article called “The Future Lies in the Past” by Chris Armstrong, he writes concerning a very influential church leader and seminarian, Robert Webber had this to say:

“If only the man behind the conference, the elder statesman of ‘ancient-future faith,’ could have been there to watch the excitement of young and old conferees alike. But Robert Webber of Northern Seminary (and formerly of Wheaton) could not be present. He was in the late stages of cancer. His chair at the conference banquet table was vacant, as colleagues stood to honor his influence on them personally and on the whole church. Weeks after the conference, evangelical Christianity lost its premier ambassador for reengagement with history.

“In 1978, Webber had begun his groundbreaking Common Roots: A Call to Evangelical Maturity by throwing down the gauntlet:

"‘My argument is that the era of the early church (A.D. 100–500), and particularly the second century, contains insights which evangelicals need to recover.’ "

“Twenty-five years later, he could rejoice in the pages of his Younger Evangelicals that they ‘want to immerse themselves in the past and form a culture that is connected to the past, a culture that remembers its tradition as it moves into the future.’ Webber observed—with what we now know was not mere wishful thinking—that evangelicals had entered the new millennium by surging into the past.”

From: “A Warm Protestant Welcome for Mary” by Richard Covington we read:

Protestands Welcome Marian Veneration

“Time was, for Protestants, that the Virgin Mary was a once-a-year thing. ‘We dragged Mary out at Christmas along with the angels and placed her at center stage,’ says religious essayist Kathleen Norris. ‘Then we packed her safely in the crèche box for the rest of the year.’ That attitude, Norris and other Protestants say, has long denied the mother of Jesus her rightful place in Christian tradition.”
“Today, more and more Protestants are welcoming Mary back into their spiritual lives. Several new books by Protestant authors have spurred new interest in the Virgin Mother. And a joint Anglican-Catholic commission recently announced a landmark accord on Mary that could help bridge the gap between the two denominations. Mary's story, says Beverly Gaventa, a New Testament scholar at Princeton University and the coeditor of the book Blessed One: Protestant Perspectives on Mary, "is a wonderful example of divine grace that Protestants have neglected.

It was seen as Catholic territory, but now the lines between denominations are dropping."
“Like many Protestants, Norris says she learned next to nothing about Mary from her Methodist and Congregational upbringing, but after spending time in Benedictine monasteries she grew to identify with her. ‘Like Mary, I am invited each day to bring Christ into the world in my prayers, thoughts, and actions,’ she says.”

The Roman Catholic church has had a tradition of downplaying the importance of scripture, stating that its authority is no greater than and sometimes subordinate to church tradition as established by the various Popes throughout the centuries.

The Roman Catholic church has had a tradition of salvation by works and good deeds as exemplified in the Seven Sacraments, and denying the efficacy of Christ’s atonement on the cross via His shed blood which alone is necessary and sufficient for salvation by faith in God’s Word and His provisional Grace afforded to all who surrender any effort in proving their self-worth.

The Roman Catholic church has had a tradition of a high liturgy in their services; by this we mean a greater emphasis on the sensual aspects of worship such as lighted candles, incense, anointing oils and ashes, holy water, bells, dimly lit sanctuaries, the erection of iconic statues and stained glass windows, chants, etc.

The Roman Catholic church has had a traditon (little known among the average Catholics, to say nothing of evangelical Christians who believe in the scriptures) of mysticism, meditation, visions, signs and wonders, miracles and spiritual power particularly from holy relics as their source (such as the bones or possessions of long dead saints, objects held sacred by ancient churches, etc).

Astonishingly there is another ecclesial body of ‘believers’ whose conduct of worship and views of spiritual truth are in the same vein as the Roman Catholic church; this movement has lured, corralled and seduced many evangelical believers, and most especially prominent pastors and Christian leadership here in America into their fold.

This is none other than the Emergent Church Movement (ECM) and it’s the expressed opinion of this writer that the ECM is working covertly to bring the church in America in alignment with dogmas, practices and beliefs that mirror the Roman Catholic church. It’s the, as yet unproven, suspicion of this writer that the agents of the ECM are working in conjunction with, even perhaps in compliance to the orders of the Roman Church, via the Order of the Jesuits, that body of priests who were formed with the expressed intent of the Popes to bring wayward Catholics and unbelievers into Roman Catholicism! Historically speaking they did so by violence and torture if necessary!

We will examine the beliefs, statements and endorsed practices of Emergent Church Leaders in the second article of “The MOTHER of HARLOTS EMERGES.”

So, until next time, I pray that the LORD Jesus Christ continues to keep all of us, His saints, in the grace and peace, love and joy of our Heavenly FATHER, amen!

There is a Hal Lindsey Report posted at the top of this website. I hope you will watch it in its entirety, because it deals with the issue of political correctness taking over every aspect of life. As believers, it is important to hold true to our Christian Worldview as opposed to the New World Views being pushed at us by those who have embraced "CHANGE".

is not white; red is not green; the sky is not orange and TRUTH cannot be changed to fit a political agenda.

Since so many of our "so-called" leaders, teachers, and educated news media feed us a constant diet of "UNTRUTHS", I thought it would help us to look at the definitions of a couple of words. I am just fed up with the BRAIN WASHING of society.

According to: The Free Dictionary

adj. Abbr. PC
1. Of, relating to, or supporting broad social, political, and educational change, especially to redress historical injustices in matters such as race, class, gender, and sexual orientation.
2. Being or perceived as being over concerned with such change, often to the exclusion of other MORE IMPORTANT matters.

According to:Webster’s American Dictionary of the English Language 1828

1.Conformity to fact or reality; exact accordance with that which is, or has been, or shall be. The truth of history constitutes its whole value. We rely on the truth of the scriptural prophecies.

My mouth shall speak truth. Proverbs 8
Sanctify them through thy truth; thy word is truth. John 17

2.True state of facts or things. The duty of a court of justice is to discover the truth. Witnesses are sworn to declare the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

3.Conformity of words to thoughts, which is called moral truth. (Shall truth fail to keep her word? Milton)

4.Veracity; purity from falsehood; practice of speaking truth; habitual disposition to speak truth; as when we say, a man is a man of truth.

5.Correct opinion.

6.Fidelity; constancy.

7.Honesty; virtue.

8.Exactness; conformity to rule.

9.Real fact or just principle; real state of things. There are innumerable truths with which we are not acquainted.

10.Sincerity. (God is a spirit, and they that worship him must worship in spirit and in truth. John 4)

11.The truth of God, in his veracity and faithfulness. (Psalm 71) Or his revealed will. I have walked in thy truth. (Psalm 26)

12.Jesus Christ is called the truth. (John 14)

13.It is sometimes used by way of concession. (She said, truth, Lord; yet the dogs eat of the crumbs. Matthew 15) That is, it is a truth; what you have said, I admit to be true.

14.In truth, in reality; in fact.

15.Of a truth, in reality; certainly.

16.To do a truth, is to practice what God commands. John 3

There you have it in plain English! Let's not be duped into the NEW WORLD VIEW being imposed upon us. Stick to the TRUTH, especially where it concerns our Christian values.

The Copenhagen Treaty Explained — Part I

~ by A.M. Kisly

In this month’s newsletter from Olive Tree Ministries, Jan Markell writes about Globalism and the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. For those who are not familiar with this upcoming disaster, this U.N. Treaty will trump our Constitution. Hard to believe, but America is rushing into Marxism with breathtaking speed.

She writes, “A few months ago Barack Obama said to the U.N. General Assembly, “We have learned to be citizens of the world, members of the human community.” Let’s clarify that statement as Obama is saying that America is just another country with no moral basis for world leadership. Further, in his America-bashing around the world in just less than a year, he has implied or stated firmly that America is flawed, so inherently sinful, that it cannot be trusted with, and does not merit the possession of overarching world power.”

“Furthering this road map to the one-world Socialist system be aware that in mid-December the “2009 United Nations’ Climate Change Conference will be held in Copenhagen.” Many who have read the treaty to be signed at that meeting suggest that the purpose of it is really global government. Global warming and climate change will just be the vehicles used and most every nation, including America is represented by Barack Obama will sign it. It advocates transferring the wealth from rich countries to the poor.”

I did some research into these claims, and will present you with the astonishing information I have found. Again, we must be aware of what is going on so that we can be effective in our actions as well as in our prayers.

As astounding as it may sound, this treaty will trump our Constitution! Because of that, if America is really to participate, the U.S. Senate must ratify it. The current Senate is a lackey to every left-wing cause in America and the world.

The "scheme for the new institutional arrangement under the Convention" that starts on page 18 contains the provision for a "government." The aim is to give a new as yet unnamed U.N. body the power to directly intervene in the financial, economic, tax and environmental affairs of all the nations that sign the Copenhagen treaty.

This treaty appears to have been subject to unusual attempts to conceal its convoluted contents. And apart from the difficulty of trying to decipher the U.N. verbiage, there are plenty of draft clauses described as "alternatives" and "options" that should raise the ire of free and democratic countries concerned about preserving their sovereignty.

Lord Monckton said "this is the first time I've ever seen any transnational treaty referring to a new body to be set up under that treaty as a 'government.' But it's the powers that are going to be given to this entirely unelected government that are so frightening." He added: "The sheer ambition of this new world government is enormous right from the start—that's even before it starts accreting powers to itself in the way that these entities inevitably always do."

The Copenhagen Treaty Explained — Part I

Legal analysis John Charlton

(Nov. 9, 2009) — Last month Lord Christopher Monckton, former science adviser for the English Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, warned that the proposed text of the Copenhagen Treaty on Climate Change was the vehicle for international marxists to establish a one-world Marxist government. Interest in this dire warning has bloomed over the internet and remains a daily leader in those arriving at The Post & Email through search engines. For this reason The Post & Email will feature a detailed analysis of the treaty text.

Background to the Treaty

First it must be understood that presently there is no such treaty; but there are several proposals on a Climate protection treaty, which were unveiled at the recent Copenhagen Conference on Climate Change, which proposals would be for a treaty signed by the members states of the United Nations as a binding document on each of them. China and India have already indicated that they are not in favor of such world-wide strictures.

The actual conference in Copenhagen was held on September 15 at Copenhagen, Denmark. It was only one meeting in a series of meetings which have and will be held on Climate Change.

The working document is termed “The Framework Convention on Climate Change“, and the recent version was approved by the “Ad-Hoc working Group on Long-Term Cooperative Action” under the U.N. Convention, at Bonn, Germany, Aug. 10-14, 2009.

The current, 181-page document is only a draft, and is not binding. It is currently available from What’s Up with This Blog, in PDF format (2.4 MB). [I would suggest you save it to your hard drive before it is erased from the internet.]

A General Outline of the Working Document

First let’s merely take a quick look at the contents of the document, to get an idea of its “geography”. The table of contents contains the following headers:

A. Mitigation [commitments] by [developed country Parties]
B. Nationally appropriate mitigation actions by developing countries.
C. Policy approaches and positive incentives on issues relating to reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries; and the role of conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of forest carbon stocks in developing countries.
D. Cooperative sectoral approaches and sector-specific actions
E. Economic and social consequences of response measures

We shall see from a detailed analysis of the proposal that “enhanced” means “forced”, “shared” means “imposed”, and that “provision” and “transfer” means “forced tax” and “theft”.

Now let’s take a closer look at the structure of each section. Note that text in square brackets represents proposed alterations or versions of each sentence.
In this Part I, we will consider merely the presuppositions invoke to justify the Document’s existence.

Essential to this notion of cooperative action is the principles upon which the action is deemed necessary. However, the principles are based on historical revisionism of the first caliber, combined with pseudo-science, a result which ends up being a new religious creed.

Here are just some of the resolutions/principles upon which the “Shared Vision” is based.

First, the intention is to establish world-wide control of the human race at new levels.

PP.6. Intending to renew and strengthen the global partnership through the creation of new levels of cooperation among Parties, according to the principles of the Convention.

Second, requirement to accept the “Shared Vision” as governmental policy in all members states:

PP.7 Affirming a Shared Vision of a long-term goal to equitably, successfully and coherently integrate the ambitious efforts of all Parties.
Notice the words “equitably” and “successfully”, and how they will be used further down in the document.

Third, the aim of the proposed Treaty will be the imposition of the Sustainable Development world-view, one which Mr. DeWeese, in his interview with The Post & Email, clearly indicated was the intentional destruction of Western Civilization:

PP.8 [Recognizing that] sustainable development is the first priority for developing countries. Therefore, [that] our commitment to a low carbon society would have to be linked to our development priorities, in accordance with the provisions of the Convention.

Then, that the proposed Treaty will oblige member states “fully”; “fully” is clearly a word that can have dictatorial and tyrannical significance, since it implies without holding-back, or without limitations:

PP.10 [Emphasizing that] it is fundamental that Annex I countries comply fully with the provisions as set out in 4.3, 4.4, and 4.5 as well as additional commitments on technology transfer and capacity-building.

Then comes the point which belies the proposed Treaty as a political game, which is intended to hamper the leading economic powers (USA for example), in favor of the majority of member states:

PP.11 [Further emphasizing that] a shared vision does not include commitments for developing countries. It does, entitle technology transfer, capacity-building and financial resources for project implementation regarding mitigation national programs.

The next point, rehashes Al Gore’s Big-Fib that sea levels will rise so significantly that entire nations and cities will disappear:

PP.12 [Recognizing that sustainable development that ensures capacity for] [A shared vision recognizes that] [adaptation to the adverse effects of climate change is the most important issue for] [the most vulnerable countries are] all developing countries, [particularly] low-lying and other small island countries, countries with low-lying coastal, arid and semi-arid areas or areas liable to floods, drought and desertification, and developing countries with fragile mountainous ecosystems are particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change, [as stated in preambular text 19 of the UNFCCC].

The next point, openly says that the Treaty’s purpose will be to control the world economy by controlling how individuals and corporations and governments invest their monies:

PP.13 Recognizing that current and potential climate change impacts require a shift in the global investment patterns and that criteria for financing allocation shall clearly respond to the priorities identified by the international community, with climate change stabilization being one of these priorities.
You cannot have such control, without taxes, tariffs, subsidies, and the diminution of free market principles.

Next, we move into the pure realm of science-fantasy, where all CO2 has resulted from industrialization, and not biological processes:

PP.14 Acknowledging that current atmospheric concentrations are principally the result of historical emissions of greenhouse gases, the most significant share of which has originated in developed countries.

Then, we move into the pure realm of historical revisionism, in which all the alleged excess CO2 (no excess has been proven) has resulted from 150 years of activity, when it is a known fact that China and India have dumped considerable quantities of pollutants into the atmosphere in just the last 20 years:

PP.15 Further acknowledging, that developed countries have a historical responsibility for their disproportionate contribution to the causes and consequences of climate change, reflecting their disproportionate historical use of a shared global carbon space since 1850 as well as their proposed continuing disproportionate use of the remaining global carbon space.

To hold that some coal-gas plant that burnt coal in the 1890’s may have actually contributed to current levels of CO2 is patently laughable, since it could only be reasonably sustained by assuming there are no natural processes for removing 130 year old CO2 from the atmosphere — as if there are no green plants on land, or plankton in the oceans!

When you have to justify a document on mythological assertions, you really cannot defend yourself against the claim of your critics that you have no leg to stand on.
In the next 10+ pages the working document lists the proposed text of the items of the Shared Vision, as they are to be implemented.

When you see that the “Shared Vision” has nothing to do with “sharing” the responsibility, you will understand better what the Copenhagen conference was all about.

This is spelled out in the next 10+ pages, wherein the working document lists the proposed text and changes to the current accepted text.
While most of these regurgitate the principles just mentioned above, some flesh out the nastiness of what is being proposed:

Here is a collection of just a few paragraphs. From pp. 7-8:

Deep cuts [by developed countries] [by all Annex I country Parties] [by all developed countries] in global emissions by Parties in accordance with their historical responsibilities, as well as the principles of equity and common but differentiated responsibilities, and realistic changes in emission patterns [will be] [are urgently] required to prevent dangerous interference with the climate system and achieve the ultimate objective of the Convention.

Notice, there is a “Shared Vision” that “deep cuts” are not going to be “shared”, but based upon the unfounded claim that the industrialized nations are principally at fault, because of what they have been doing for a century.

Next, from p. 9, when have the threat, that if developed nations don’t act to implement deep cuts on themselves that they will be responsible for larger outlays of financing for developed nations in the future:

9. The shared vision for long-term cooperative action recognizes the strong link between adaptation and mitigation as well as the cross-cutting role played by financing, technology transfer and capacity building. Failure to implement ambitious and immediate mitigation actions by developed countries will increase the need for adaptation in developing countries and therefore for financial support. At the same time, increased financial support and technology transfer to developing countries will help these countries in their implementation

Note the implicit assumption that the activities of developed nations only harm developing nations; and that those of developing nations don’t harm developed nations. This is an essential, unwritten premise of the document, to justify world-government, and unilateral financial and technological transfers from rich to poor countries.

Then the not-so-veiled insistence, on p. 10, on One-World Government as the solution to the “climate problem”:

20. In order to fulfill this shared vision, Parties have agreed to establish a coherent, cohesive and integrated system of financial and technology transfer mechanisms under the Convention and a follow-up/compliance mechanism. These institutions are robust and effective.

“Robust” means “authoritative and powerful”, and “effective” means “obligatory and penal.” That is the description of a governmental body which has authority over the entire world and every aspect of human life.

Then comes a reiteration of the 4 points of the failed Bali Plan, which the Bush administration opposed.

Then the document proposes the attempt to control the world environment itself, as if man could even do this:

Alternative to paragraphs 26–27:

[The objective of this Agreement is to achieve an environmentally sound response to climate change through effective implementation of the Convention, with a view to achieving its ultimate objective as provided in its Article 2, by:

(a) stabilizing atmospheric greenhouse gases at 450 parts per million carbon dioxide equivalent or lower, through unified long-term action that sets the world on a path by which global GHG emissions peak by [X] and then global GHG emissions reduce by [X] per cent by [X] on [X] levels; and

(b) galvanizing greater attention and efforts towards adaptation at all levels to minimize the adverse impacts of climate change, to assist in

You know the authors of the document are insane and irrational and power-hungry, when they propose an arbitrary level (equivalent to some pre-historical levels) as a rule to be held to: as if man alone could control this.

But the real “meat” of the One-World Government proposals is found in paragraph, on pp. 18-19:

38. The scheme for the new institutional arrangement under the Convention will be based on three basic pillars: government; facilitative mechanism; and financial mechanism, and the basic organization of which will include the following:

(a) The government will be ruled by the COP with the support of a new subsidiary body on adaptation, and of an Executive Board responsible for the management of the new funds and the related facilitative processes and bodies. The current Convention secretariat will operate as such, as appropriate.

(b) The Convention’s financial mechanism will include a multilateral climate change fund including five windows: (a) an Adaptation window, (b) a Compensation window, to address loss and damage from climate change impacts, including insurance, rehabilitation and compensatory components, (c) a Technology window; (d) a Mitigation window; and (e) a REDD window, to support a multi-phases process for positive forest incentives relating to REDD actions.

(c) The Convention’s facilitative mechanism will include: (a) work programmes for adaptation and mitigation; (b) a long-term REDD process; (c) a short-term technology action plan; (d) an expert group on adaptation established by the subsidiary body on adaptation, and expert groups on mitigation, technologies and on monitoring, reporting and verification; and (e) an international registry for the monitoring, reporting and verification of compliance of emission reduction commitments, and the transfer of technical and financial resources from developed countries to developing countries. The secretariat will provide technical and administrative support, including a new centre for information exchange.

Liberals are claiming Lord Monckton lied, that the word “government” does not occur in the text of the proposal. As you can see from the above paragraphs, esp. (a), that it is the Liberals who have been caught lying on this one.

Because of the length of this article, I will be posting a second article discussing the second half of this proposed “draft” of the U.N. Treaty.

We are reminded not to be ignorant of Satan’s many devices but to pray, and pray without ceasing. I bring you this information for the purpose of calling the elect to stand and to pray that Satan’s efforts be thwarted.

We are not ignorant of God’s prophetic word: A one-world government, religion, currency and leader are indeed coming, but in the meantime, we will pray. Our Nation has yet completely abandoned God and Christian values, and it is definitely worth fighting for.

“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16

We do not yet know how this will play out. As this is written, Obama says he may not go to Copenhagen at all. Whether he is there or not, the purpose of Copenhagen will remain: Rush global government. I can only encourage you to continue to pray without ceasing for our great nation. The powers of darkness are trying to consume America. Many on the Left are in favor of this. Only the righteous can turn things around – if there is yet time to do so. We must never give up hope, for without hope, the heart grows sick.

The WORD-FAITH MOVEMENT: Doctrines of Men or Doctrines of God?

~ by A.M. Kisly

When did the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ come to mean the promotion of the self-life? I call this, “It’s All About Me” gospel.

Where did Jesus ever say that if any man comes after me, I will fulfill all of your dreams and ambitions? Where does it say in scripture that there will be no pain, no suffering and no poverty? What chapter and verse talks about cashing in our spiritual lottery ticket for heaven on earth, and all of life’s problems simply disappear? Can you quote one passage in Scripture where Jesus, Paul or anyone else used techniques such as imaging and visualization for prayer, or for healing?

I was asked if I would consider writing an article or several articles on the subject of the Word-Faith Movement, by my dear friend and co-author, James Fire. I must confess I haven’t thought much about this Movement, or some of the doctrines they teach for quite a while, but I agreed to doing the research and presenting the information in written articles because of the growing concern I have over what has become of the true disciple of Jesus Christ, and the truth of the GOSPEL MESSAGE.

No doubt many believers will contend that in writing about this subject, I am doing nothing more than splitting theological hairs. Yet the extent of the controversy is not merely an honest doctrinal difference among orthodox believers; it rather entails a confrontation between the gospel preached by the Lord Jesus Christ and another gospel.

In fact, many of the word-faith doctrines and practices are rooted deeply into the meta-physical sciences or more specifically the occult. These teachings and practices have led many astray and this is precisely the issue.

I would like to clarify to the reader that it is not my desire to attack or divide the body of Christ, but rather to challenge any and all doctrines against the pure and irrefutable truth of GOD’S WORD.

We are all called to defend the Faith, but if I were to ask 10 people what this means, I’d be willing to bet that I’d get 10 different answers.

With that said, in this first article, we will explore and study exactly what the scripture says about Faith, it’s very definition and the examples that God himself laid out for us in His Word. In upcoming articles, get ready to really uncover what the Word-Faith doctrines are, if they are Biblically sound, their origins and the founders of such teachings, its links to the New Age movement and much more.

Let’s get started:

What is faith by definition?

I thought it was interesting to note that the definition given by Webster closely follows God’s own definition. The dictionary defines faith as:

The assent of the mind to the truth of divine revelation, on the authority of god’s testimony, accompanied by a cordial assent of the will or approbation of the heart; and entire confidence or trust in God’s character and declarations, and in the character and doctrines of Christ, with an unreserved surrender of the will to His guidance, and dependence on His merits for salvation, also called evangelical, justifying or saving faith.”

[Note: This is from Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary of the English Language. If you don’t have this, I would encourage you to get a copy.]

Now let’s take a look at a very familiar passage in Scripture from Hebrews chapter 11, faith is defined as follows:

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

While reading this definition of faith, I think it is impossible to have a balanced understanding of this scripture and the scriptures that follow in Hebrews chapter 11, without reading the whole epistle. Even if we back up to the last couple of verses in the previous chapter, Paul states,

“Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition [spiritual, physical or eternal ruin]; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” (chapter 10:38, 39)

The apostle having, in the close of the foregoing chapter, recommended the grace of faith and a life of faith as the best preservative against apostasy. It is a solemn lesson in chapter 10 that there is no alternative, no safety or no way of pleasing God or abiding in His presence and favor, but by faith.

Faith is much more than trust, though trust is of extreme importance as its initial exercise. Also, we don’t want to narrow its purpose by intellectually defining the word lest it lead to a faith more intellectual than spiritual, which rests more in the wisdom of men and in the power of reason, than in the power of God.

In a brief synopsis of this epistle, what we can clearly see is God’s most perfect revelation of Himself through Jesus Christ. It is God revealed; God at work; and God triumphing. Notice that our eye is not fixed upon physical need or pleasures, but fixed upon Jesus, who is the “author and finisher of our faith”. [I will be going into further depth with this point as we get into some of the techniques being taught by prominent Word-Faith teachers.]

He, Jesus, is set before us “crowned with glory and honour” in the heavens. In fact, it is important to note that Jesus Christ is prominent on every page throughout the book of Hebrews.

Maybe this should be our first insight into a truthful definition of Faith, and not the more modern “magic genie” version to fulfill all of our wants and desires.

In Hebrews we are to consider first and foremost, Jesus, it is our Lord himself revealed to us as greater or superior than the prophets, than the angels, than Moses, Joshua and Aaron. It is Paul’s argument that Christ is superior over all others. Through Jesus, we have been given a New Covenant which is a better covenant and an everlasting covenant, and this is the establishment and the very foundation and source of all of our adoration, our praise and our worship…AND OUR FAITH!
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (chapter 11:6)

Obviously we won’t be studying the book of Hebrews here, but even in these few lines we can see that our faith is in and through Jesus Christ, for forgiveness, for redemption and salvation, for reconciliation to God and so forth.

Going back to chapter 11 we can now look upon faith, or the enjoyment of its power and blessing through the fullness of faith. Here Paul proceeds to demonstrate the “power” of faith, not only to save but to give us victory.
In a war, victory means a battle. A battle means wounds and scars, disappointments and sacrifice, BUT IN THE END THE GLORIOUS CROWN OF VICTORY IS OURS. Are we not engaged in a spiritual battle, dear friend? Those engaged are not worried about gaining fame and fortune, visualizing material riches, multiplying our 401K plans, building bigger mansions, a prominent position and the praise of man, they are thinking of salvation and victory!

In Hebrews 11, often referred to as the "Faith Hall of Fame," we read of those who were commended for their faith, yet were destitute, persecuted, imprisoned, and suffered torturous deaths. These men and women set examples for us, and yet their lives were characterized by perseverance not by prosperity.

He refers to some sixteen Old Testament saints by name, and a number of others by inference. They are all men and women with the same faults and weaknesses that we ourselves are familiar with. They stumbled and fell, yet they got back up, conquered and gained victory. Yes they were all saved by simple faith, but the victory of faith was won only through sacrifice, that’s right, SACRIFICE!

In the following examples written by Paul, it is important to note that victory did not come the easy way, but in every example it cost a great deal, that cost was the sacrifice of self. Let’s take a look at those examples:
Abel’s faith cost him his life.
Enoch’s faith cost him the plaudits of the world as he walked alone with God in a desperately evil age.
Noah’s faith cost him disappointment. After all of his preaching, only seven entered the ark.
Abraham’s faith cost him the sacrifice of Isaac, whom God demanded but graciously spared.
Isaac’s faith was surrendering his will and desire to favor Esau, and give to Jacob (who deceived him) the blessing he intended for Esau.
Jacob’s faith came at the price of paralysis. He wrestled at Peniel and came out a victor but a cripple for life.
Joseph faith caused him to be despised by his brethren.
Moses paid the price of victory by renouncing his claim to the wealth of Egypt.

And so it goes on and on…..

To follow Jesus means Gethsemane and Calvary, but it leads to resurrection, glory and reward, the things hoped for.

You see the faith that is described in the scriptures is a saving faith, an uncompromising faith that separates the believer from this world, thus making him a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Maybe God has not asked us to make these types of sacrifices, yet he does ask us to surrender our bodies to His service, separate ourselves from this world, abstain from sinful pleasures, and to refuse to compromise with evil. He asks us to be a witness for him, to study His Word because, “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” ROMANS 10:17

Have we counted the cost?

The Bible says, be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12).

This faith that we are defining and studying is also a faith that is to grow, where babes grow into maturity, no longer desiring milk but meat; growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Be not deceived by the empty promises of man, have faith in God, in the promises that He made, and kept, and fulfilled through Jesus Christ. Develop your faith and grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ so that as mature believers, we are able to discern what is of God and what pleases Him.

This faith that brought us salvation through Jesus Christ, wherein we worship in spirit and in truth now causes us to walk by faith. It is a walk with God, in communion with Him, a life of separation from this world and our learning at His feet, as we wait for the promise of His coming. It is where we will continue to grow and mature in the fear and admonition of the Lord, which eventually leads us to a working faith.

A working faith, is a faith in action. Noah built the ark as God instructed him to do. It wasn't obedience alone, but a faith driven action. Did it sound crazy? Yes, but even so, he had developed a deep faith in God, a complete trust and surrender to His will fulfilling God's plans and purposes.

The will of God, knowing Him and His will; isn’t that what it is all about?

In the next article, we will begin a list of important rules when comparing certain teachings or man’s words, against the Word of God. In the meantime, I would encourage you to read through the book of Hebrews, studying for yourselves this word Faith and it's fuller meaning.

~~ by A.M. Kisly

Absolutely jaw dropping information on vaccine mandates.

Whatever you are doing today, PLEASE make time to sit and watch this 3 part video, located at the top of our website under "Breaking News."

Watch it, and pass it on. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for us to do our own research, understand what is going on, and be informed in order to protect our most precious gift, life.

I understand the fear, confusion and concerns that many of us have been dealing with these past few months, but it is not an excuse to continue with the same ole’ ‘ignorance is bliss’ and ‘trust the untrustworthy’ mentality. Our sheer laziness and apathy are destroying truth, righteousness, justice, freedom, our Christian faith, our families, our society and ourselves.

How long will we stand on the sidelines and say nothing, do nothing, be passive and lukewarm about all that concerns us. I for one will not bow to the IDOLS that the rest of the “world” is bowing to.

Dare to be a Daniel!

Is God’s hand so short that it cannot save? Where have we put our trust? Do we trust big pharmaceuticals, big government, and the liberal news media more than we trust in the MIGHTY HAND OF OUR GOD. Do we know or even recognize his voice anymore?

Clearly God speaks through his word to our hearts!

Proverbs 3:5-9 (King James Version)

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (7) Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. (8) It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones."

Psalm 91 (King James Version)

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (2) I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. (3) Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. (4) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. (5) Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; (6) Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. (7) A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
(8) Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. (9) Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; (10) There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. (11) For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. (12) They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. (13) Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. (14) Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. (15) He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. (16) With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation."

For those who are questioning the integrity of thousands of scientists and doctors who have spoken out against the H1N1 vaccine, I can only encourage you to go to the umpteenth degree in researching for yourselves their claims, and opposing the “main stream” push. Speaking for myself, I am thoroughly disgusted to the core of my being with the continuous onslaught of lies and deceit coming from those who are supposed to have our best interests at heart.

I am not anti-vaccine, but pro-safety and pro-life, and that is what this battle is all about!

Also, please check out the information provided on the insert script provided by drug manufactures in the H1N1 vaccine packaging.

H1N1 Vaccine Package Insert

In it you will find the following information, specifically note that this is the extreme opposite of what the government and the media have been reporting to us. We have been told that it is safe and that pregnant women and babies should be the first to be vaccinated. Unbelievable!

8.1 Pregnancy
Pregnancy Category C: Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine or AFLURIA. It is also not known whether these vaccines can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman or can affect reproduction capacity. Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine should be given to a pregnant woman only if clearly needed.

Again, this is not what they have been telling us on the news!

8.3 Nursing Mothers
Neither Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine nor AFLURIA has been evaluated in nursing mothers. It is not known whether Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine or AFLURIA is excreted in human milk. Because many drugs are excreted in human milk, caution should be exercised when Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine is administered to a nursing woman.

8.4 Pediatric Use
Neither Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine nor AFLURIA has been evaluated in children. Safety and effectiveness in the pediatric population have not been established.

The multi-dose formulation contains thimerosal, added as a preservative; each 0.5 mL dose contains 24.5 mcg of mercury. (This is 5 times above the allowable and safe limits according to the Centers for Disease Control.)

13.1 Carcinogenesis, Mutagenesis, Impairment of Fertility
Neither Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine nor AFLURIA has been evaluated for carcinogenic or mutagenic potential or for impairment of fertility.

We have not be smart enough or brave enough to question those who have obvious hidden agendas, and it is high time we start.
