"We see, in many a land, the proudest dynasties and tyrannies still crushing, with their mountain weight, every free motion of the Consciences and hearts of men. We see, on the other hand, the truest heroism for the right and the greatest devotion to the Truth in hearts that God has touched. We have a work to do, as great as our forefathers and, perhaps, far greater. The enemies of Truth are more numerous and subtle than ever and the needs of the Church are greater than at any preceding time. If we are not debtors to the present, then men were never debtors to their age and their time. Brethren, we are debtors to the hour in which we live. Oh, that we might stamp it with Truth and that God might help us to impress upon its wings some proof that it has not flown by neglected and unheeded." -- C.H. Spurgeon . . . "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31, 32 . . . . .

The G.E.P.C Study – PHILIPPIANS 4 – Part Two of Two

The G.E.P.C Study – PHILIPPIANS 4 – Part Two of Two
Going Through Paul’s epistles to Galatia, Ephesus, Philippi, and Colossae

NOTE to TTUF Readers:

Anne Kisly is attending to many needful matters, including some well-deserved R & R as a result of some intense ministry to her family these last several years (finally completed!), leaving me to hold the fort, which I’ve been glad to do. Only, these days while my serious health issues involving cancer continue – things are not quite so intense. I have YOU saints to thank for petitioning our LORD, for He has heard! I am supremely thankful to Him for leading me and accompanying me in these fiery trials!

Your continued prayers are appreciated as the LORD faithfully leads me through these “troublesome waters”! Thank you and GOD bless you way too much!

INTRODUCTION: We often find ourselves worried, frustrated, perplexed regarding the issues of life, particularly when things go wrong, provisions aren’t forthcoming, when obstacles don’t budge and in it all we wonder, “Where are you GOD?”

Apostle Paul had all of that going on throughout his ministry, and yet as he learned to trust GOD, minute by minute, day by day, in the face of intense opposition and contention by those who abhorred the Gospel of Jesus Christ, he found himself contented and at peace. Does that sound attractive to you?

In this second half of Chapter Four, we continue in this vein of thought as apostle Paul wrote on such matters. May we follow his example, even as he follows Christ!
