"We see, in many a land, the proudest dynasties and tyrannies still crushing, with their mountain weight, every free motion of the Consciences and hearts of men. We see, on the other hand, the truest heroism for the right and the greatest devotion to the Truth in hearts that God has touched. We have a work to do, as great as our forefathers and, perhaps, far greater. The enemies of Truth are more numerous and subtle than ever and the needs of the Church are greater than at any preceding time. If we are not debtors to the present, then men were never debtors to their age and their time. Brethren, we are debtors to the hour in which we live. Oh, that we might stamp it with Truth and that God might help us to impress upon its wings some proof that it has not flown by neglected and unheeded." -- C.H. Spurgeon . . . "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31, 32 . . . . .

The MARVELOUS MESSIANIC MIRACLES OF JESUS!

We see all kinds of miracles in the Bible, both Old Testament and New, particularly when GOD brings revelation through Moses, restoration through Elijah, and the LORD Jesus and His apostles as a way of validating the true GOD, His Word and His power. But before we do a deep dive into these three Messianic miracles, let’s pause for just a moment and ask the question: “What IS a miracle?”

A miracle is the suspension of natural and physical law with the insertion of the supernatural that affects the natural world.

GOD being the Creator finds no difficulty in inserting the supernatural into the natural. GOD at times uses His providential power (that directly affects the natural world by GOD using natural means) to accomplish His will. He used natural means to bring about the Flood. But His parting of the Red Sea was indeed miraculous. His feeding of Israel with manna and quail was providential. The LORD Jesus feeding the 5,000 with a few loaves of bread and some fish was miraculous.

“… the ancient rabbis separated miracles into two categories. First, miracles performed by anyone that… was empowered by the Spirit of God. The second category were called ‘messianic miracles’, miracles only the Messiah would perform. Yeshua did miracles in both categories. When He performed a messianic miracle it created a different reaction than when He performed other types of miracles.” Arnold Fructenbaum

A Study in Paul’s Epistle to the Romans – “On the Road of Righteousness” Chapter Ten – Israel, the Church & Biblical Faith

~  By James Fire

Once again we shall delve into the Scriptures and learn what we may, by the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ, our Teacher (EPH 4: 20-21) concerning the nation of Israel and God’s plan for them, a glorious plan which shall be revealed (I believe) quite soon and for which the Gentile nations shall (in that Day) glorify “God in the Highest, and on earth peace, good will toward [all] men” (LUKE 2:14).

Israel Replaced?

As mentioned previously, the false doctrine of Replacement Theology has produced a rather skewed view of Scripture and often muddies its clarity with the distinctions between Israel and the church – these two entities have different origins, different missions and different destinies.

A Study in Paul’s Epistle to the Romans – “On the Road of Righteousness” Chapter Four:

~  By James Fire

Chapter Four: Justifying the Ungodly and Imputing Righteousness by Faith

I’ve been most eager to begin this particular chapter, because, as you know (if you read the previous study) this is the portion of scripture (vs. 1-5) that the LORD used to lead me to salvation back in June of 1980. Obviously then, this passage is very dear to my heart.

If you have not yet had the opportunity to read my testimony, here is a link provided for you FROM the MIND of FIRE: CAN I GET A WITNESS?

Suffice it to say, in my ‘B.C.’ days, I was very much intent on learning what my purpose in life was, and at the same time ‘plagued’ with the question: How a person such as I, could ever possibly be considered righteous before the Holy and Awesome God?
