"We see, in many a land, the proudest dynasties and tyrannies still crushing, with their mountain weight, every free motion of the Consciences and hearts of men. We see, on the other hand, the truest heroism for the right and the greatest devotion to the Truth in hearts that God has touched. We have a work to do, as great as our forefathers and, perhaps, far greater. The enemies of Truth are more numerous and subtle than ever and the needs of the Church are greater than at any preceding time. If we are not debtors to the present, then men were never debtors to their age and their time. Brethren, we are debtors to the hour in which we live. Oh, that we might stamp it with Truth and that God might help us to impress upon its wings some proof that it has not flown by neglected and unheeded." -- C.H. Spurgeon . . . "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31, 32 . . . . .

PROVERBS 27:1
Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.

Almost everyone knows their birth date. But what about the day of your death? You know you’re going to have one. Research still shows that 10 out of every 10 people die!

“Two things are certain in life: death and taxes – but you can cheat at taxes!” No one cheats death. On average most people in America will live well into their 70’s, or 80’s, some even 90’s, some exceptional people make it to 100. I had a Great Aunt Bernice that lived a few months shy of her 103 birthday.

In the obituaries I’m sure most of those people had no idea that their picture would be there in the few days ahead! We don’t know what the future holds, but we know the One Who holds our future – in His loving, nail-scarred hands! And we can trust Him with our lives, both here and now, and There and Then!

So, no fear, only faith!

This is why we should value our time – you really can’t buy more time. We have just so much time and once it’s gone, it’s gone! No do-overs! No one is guaranteed tomorrow - we can't make any assumptions that next year will be like last year, or month, or week or even day.

Some people are very good at managing their finances – but how many of us are good at managing our time?
