"We see, in many a land, the proudest dynasties and tyrannies still crushing, with their mountain weight, every free motion of the Consciences and hearts of men. We see, on the other hand, the truest heroism for the right and the greatest devotion to the Truth in hearts that God has touched. We have a work to do, as great as our forefathers and, perhaps, far greater. The enemies of Truth are more numerous and subtle than ever and the needs of the Church are greater than at any preceding time. If we are not debtors to the present, then men were never debtors to their age and their time. Brethren, we are debtors to the hour in which we live. Oh, that we might stamp it with Truth and that God might help us to impress upon its wings some proof that it has not flown by neglected and unheeded." -- C.H. Spurgeon . . . "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31, 32 . . . . .

JESUS IS GOD – The WORD Incarnate a.k.a. the MESSIAH of Israel – Part THREE

By James Fire

In exploring the Deity of Jesus Christ as being co-equal to the Father, the subject of the Trinity inevitably and necessarily comes up. While the word ‘trinity’ never appears in the Scripture, the conceptual and spiritual truth of it are everywhere in Scripture and reinforces the doctrine of Christ’s Deity (and that of the Holy Spirit as well).

TRIUNITY of GOD – THREE PERSONS IN ONE GODHEAD

Along with the following treatment on the triune nature of the Godhead, here is an excellent teaching on
The Trinity by Koinonia House with Chuck Missler in this video presentation, where Dr. Missler shows how all three Persons of the Trinity were involved in the creation, in the resurrection of Christ, the indwelling of the believer, and how the many appellations of Scripture, describing God are attributed to all three Members of the Godhead.

A Study in Paul’s Epistle to the Romans – “On the Road of Righteousness” Chapter Eight: Part One

Chapter Eight: Not Living in the ‘Condo’s’ Anymore!

~ By James Fire

Note: Due to the fact that this chapter has almost 40 verses, this study will be presented in two, or three parts.

As mentioned before in our last study, conducted several weeks ago, it was stated: “The book of Romans is sometimes compared to a cathedral with its many chambers and rooms of deep theological and doctrinal truths; in this analogy, Chapter Eight is seen as the highest spire of the many towers of that cathedral -
the heights of its glories are unmatched anywhere else in the epistle, or much of the New Testament for that matter!”
So let us begin our study!

NEW LAWS, A CHANGE OF COURSE, WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?

~~ by A.M. Kisly

Things are rapidly changing in the United States. Who would have ever thought that we would see a Socialist/Marxist/ Globalist Government take over America? There has always been corruption in high places, yet what we are watching take place almost daily, a system that ignores the will of the people or the protections afforded them in our Constitution, well we can only imagine the implications this will have in the long run. What does it all mean? What does it mean for the believer? In the face of adversity, staying the course can become quite difficult as it seeks to prevent us from fulfilling God’s purpose in our lives. Yet God has equipped us with all that we need to fulfill what he has commanded us to do. Regardless of the news, let's STAY THE COURSE!

We’ve been listening to the warnings of many concerned citizens over the past few years of the coming take-over of America, martial law, the dismantling of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. With globalists now in power in every nation around the world, including our own, we have all agonized in the painful process of watching our nation slip away.

This nation was founded by Christian men and women who faced great challenges, hardships, and tyranny. They built this country through blood, sweat and prayer. Their lives were committed to the One true God of the Bible, to their families and the spreading of the Gospel.

How far we have fallen away from God and have built ourselves graven images in order to exalt man’s ways above God, our Creator. Here we are a few centuries after those first settlers offered thanksgiving and praise to the Lord for His guidance, protection, provision and freedom to worship in this new land, only to see it all being erased, blotted out, and counted for nothing. This past year we have watched as the ungodly leaders of this nation pass and enforce new laws protecting the abhorrent behavior of man. We watch as the President of this country insist and impose new tax laws that steal from one man and give to another. We watch as government handouts bankrupt our country. We watch as the world embraces every form of evil, and mock that which is good. We watch as evil as become good and good become evil.

Here we are still in the first days of the New Year worrying about another attack on the freedoms and rights afforded to every citizen of this country. President Obama must think of himself wiser than those who wrote the Bill of Rights for the protection of our citizens. President Obama along with the overwhelming support of our Congress just signed into law H.R. 1540 as part of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012.

The National Defense Authorization Act is a United States federal law that has been enacted for each of the past 48 years to specify the budget and expenditures of the United States Department of Defense.

However, as always, they snuck in a bill called H.R. 1540, which is not your typical defense spending bill. What has everyone up in arms is the fact that this bill gives authority to the president to order the military to detain U.S. citizens (indefinitely) who are under suspicion of being a terrorist or linked to a terrorist organization…without due process. This means that whether there is a justified “suspicion” or not, the military can now take you away to one of those secret prison camps; hold you without charge, trial and jury…indefinitely.

Of course, Obama did promise the following: "My Administration will not authorize the indefinite military detention without trial of American citizens." Words of advice; don’t trust a politician….especially one that opposes God in every aspect of life.

Others are saying that Due process is a constitutional right that can't be limited by statute! The constitution takes priority over any statute, and if a statute disagrees with the constitution, the statute loses. If you remember that, you'll see why the NDAA can't, by definition, take away any due process rights you already have. For due process (or any constitutional right) to be taken away there needs to be a constitutional amendment.

Claiming that unconstitutional legislation is no concern, because the Constitution overrides it is really naïve. So we should all just sit back and applaud as each unconstitutional bill is passed, as apparently (according to some naïve thinkers) active laws and their effective interpretations never violate the Constitution.

I don’t know about you, I am not reassured at all. Obama may or may not remain president of this country in the following election and we certainly know that our government as of late likes to do unconstitutional things and put up barriers to challenging the action in court at all.

In an article written by Amanda Fox-Rouch,

“Legal scholar Jonathan Turley purports that despite what Obama says in his statement, the revisions made to the bill were merely rhetorical in nature, and that it ultimately provides the military with “extraordinary powers” to detain American citizens without providing them with a fair trial. Despite what Obama has said on the topic, Turley says that the powers imparted to the military and the Obama administration by way of this bill are cause for concern.

This is amplified by the fact that American citizens who are being investigated for being suspected of terrorism cannot inform others about the investigation without facing prosecution as per provisions of the PATRIOT Act. Coupled with the NDAA, a citizen wrongly suspected of terrorist activities could now theoretically be held in military detention for months without trial, and be released only to be restricted from taking legal action against his captors.

The implications of this legislation reflect the idea that certain liberties and freedoms must be sacrificed in the name of protecting the country from further terrorist attacks — a notion that is widely disputed by various groups concerned with civil liberties.”

Adding this newly passed legislation to the already controversial Patriot Act, and something else I just stumbled over, a new bill in pending called H.R. 3166: Enemy Expatriation Act, one begins to wonder what the real objectives are. I haven’t researched this out, but according to the government website, this would add “engaging in or supporting hostilities against the United States to the list of acts for which United States nationals would lose their nationality.” The bill is written by Rep. Charles Dent and the status of the bill is in the first step of the legislative process.

Of course on the surface, all of this legislation sounds fine, if we all agree that the enemies in which we are discussing are outside forces seeking to destroy us; however that is not the case.

Here’s the real problem…..with Obama continually suggesting that old school thought (Constitution and Bill of Rights as it was written) no longer applies….it went out with the Colonial period. There is every reason to be concerned about his specific ideals and agenda.

Aside from the Constitutionality problems with this legislation, let’s consider another outrageous fact.

For instance, let’s consider the problem with the ever evolving definition of what a terrorist is. When we consider that the definition of the words “terrorist, terrorism, terrorist groups” seems to mean anyone in philosophical opposition to the Left’s or Globalist’s scope of “political correctness”. It. should cause every citizen to question with great vigor what is really going on in the grand scheme of things. We all remember the controversial report put out by the Department of Homeland Security. Let me refresh your memory…. Rightwing Conservatives have been listed to be on their suspicious “terrorist” report.

The federal Homeland Security Department document entitled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Environment Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” contains the following definition:

“Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.”

Also targeted in the report are veterans, folks anticipating additional restrictions to their Second Amendment rights, and those concerned about the loss of U.S. sovereignty.

**This report implies that one harboring these sorts of views is a racist as well as a potential terrorism suspect.

I ought to mention that Obama did offer a promise of the following: "My Administration will not authorize the indefinite military detention without trial of American citizens."

I don’t know about you, but that doesn’t offer any real comfort or reassurance at all. Obama may or may not remain president of this country in the following election. Regardless of whoever takes his place, this law is dangerous in the hands of those pushing the radicalization of America.

Many in government will argue that there is nothing for Americans to worry about -- unless you're a terrorist that is. But as our government slips further and further from the rule of law and the founding principles of our nation that once made us great, tyranny inevitably creeps in to take its place. And when tyranny reigns, the line between who is a terrorist and who isn't becomes easily blurred. A "terrorist" could simply mean a political enemy of the state.

Out of all the main contenders for the presidency, there is only one who has voiced opposition for the egregious bill. It should be predictable at this point that the one who stood on the side of the Constitution was Rep. Ron Paul. He said of the bill,

“Little by little, in the name of fighting terrorism, our Bill of Rights is being repealed...The Patriot Act, as bad as its violation of the 4th Amendment, was just one step down the slippery slope. The recently passed (NDAA) continues that slip toward tyranny and in fact accelerates it significantly. Those studying this bill say that the main section of concern, Section 1021 of the NDAA Conference Report, does to the 5th Amendment what the PATRIOT Act does to the 4th. The 5th Amendment is about much more than the right to remain silent in the face of government questioning. It contains very basic and very critical stipulations about due process of law. The government cannot imprison a person for no reason and with no evidence presented or access to legal counsel.”

He explains that the dangers of the new law are in its deliberate vagueness:

“The dangers in the NDAA are its alarmingly vague, undefined criteria for who can be indefinitely detained by the US government without trial. It is now no longer limited to members of al Qaeda or the Taliban, but anyone accused of “substantially supporting” such groups or “associated forces.” How closely associated? And what constitutes "substantial" support? What if it was discovered that someone who committed a terrorist act was once involved with a charity? Or supported a political candidate? Are all donors of that charity or supporters of that candidate now suspect, and subject to indefinite detainment? Is that charity now an associated force?”

Here’s the crux of the matter, the Bill of Rights is a check on government power against any person. This is the very strength of our legal system. The NDAA attempts to justify abridging the bill of rights on the theory that rights are suspended in a time of war….problem is only the entire United States is a battlefield in the War on Terror!

To say that this is a very dangerous development is an understatement….at the risk of being regarded as a conspiracist loon; I say that this development reeks of the globalist agenda.

What does it mean for us? Well to be honest, I just don’t know. Things are changing rapidly in the United States.

What does it mean for us as Christians? Absolutely nothing!

Let’s refocus on the biblical aspect of these difficult times we live in.

Since the onset of our website, we have always pointed us back to the Bible, a sure word of testimony of God to mankind. His word through biblical prophecy has determined the beginning and the end, and our focus is and will remain on what He said, not on what man will do.

It is easy to get knocked off course in our spiritual life. As believers in Jesus Christ, our walk and our future is not based on what the globalists are doing, nor is it based on the decisions of unrighteous leadership in Washington. Our lives and our future rest solely in the hands of God according to what He hath said. Our future and our hope rest upon Jesus the resurrected Christ who is coming back again as King of kings and Lord of Lords!

Jeremiah 29:11 states,
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

As followers of Christ, we are not to be alarmed by the things happening in this world knowing that we can meet any challenge with solid assurance and an unwavering faith.

Paul shared that there would be distresses, struggles, afflictions and even perplexity in faithful Christian service. However, what came through very distinctly at the same time is that even in the midst of all these difficulties, the believers need not lose heart but they can be of good courage.

2 Corinthians 4:1
“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;”

2 Corinthians 4:16
“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”
Sufferings, pain and difficulties can cause us to be bitter, discouraged and angry against God. They can lead us to wallow in self-pity and to sink into passivity, indifference, apathy and
unbelief. This is exactly what Satan desires for God’s people.

However, we must learn to get our minds off of the circumstances surrounding us and back on the Lord and in His Word. In doing so we have peace that passes all understanding and we can be of good courage because of the ‘hope’ and ‘glory’ we have in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We need not lose heart in the last days; instead we can take heart and be courageous and confident in God. Why? Because…

GOD IS OUR GOD!

O what joy and strength we find in that awesome revelation of God to man. O that we can know and fully appreciate that the only true God, the triune God is indeed our God, and we are His children. The great “I am”, the Almighty, Unchanging Everlasting Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is our God because we have been accepted in the beloved through Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord.

I have seen so many Christians running around sounding the alarm without offering hope or encouragement. Are we to be worrying, dreading the future and compromising with the world in order to fix all the problems of the world? Having begun in the Spirit do we now turn to the flesh? From the beginning it was sin that brought us death and destruction and so it remains the same today.

As Christians we have been given a mandate. God has equipped us with all that we need to fulfill what he has commanded us to do. Are we missing the mark? Are we carrying out the mandate to make disciples of all nations? Are we indeed fulfilling the Great Commission? Are we staying the course?

May the Lord God help us to evaluate our hearts honestly as we see the day approaching and realize that we need to stand before Him and give an account of our lives and our ministry.
