Armor up, Christians! More persecution is coming our way. Be prepared to fight the good fight of faith.
Looks like more of our rights are being taken away! According to a San Diego news reporter, a pastor and his wife were interrogated by a San Diego County official for holding Bible studies in their home. The official also threatened them with escalating fines if they continued.
The officer's line of questioning was more in line with a Hitler Gestapo interrogation:
“She said, `Do you say `Amen?" And my wife said, "Well, yes," Jones recalled.
“And she said, `Do you say `Praise the Lord?’ She said, "Well, yes.’ What would that have to with it?" Jones said
In April, Jones received a written warning for "unlawful use of land" and was ordered to stop hosting his "religious assemblies."
“They can stop religious activities in the courthouses and that but they're trying to stop prayer in my house,” Jones complained.
Pastor Fights County Over Permit For Home Bible Study
Gee, I wonder if authorities will deem family "get-togethers", holiday gatherings and barbecues unlawful as well.

By: A.M. Kisly
I came upon this wonderful film clip posted by Lighthouse Trails Ministry. It takes us back to the wonderful beginning of CCCM during this time of the “Jesus Movement”. The teaching of God’s Word was pure and uncompromised. I pray that we not only remember, but that we would return to our roots, where our love for God and His Word was pure and fervent and uncompromised.
A couple of weeks ago we were stunned at the termination of Paul Smith , brother of Chuck Smith, who is the founder of the Calvary Chapel movement which began in the early 70’s. Paul Smith, fighting the good fight of faith, had been working tirelessly to keep the contemplative and emerging spirituality out of Calvary Chapel, by trying to enforce the Calvary Distinctives (Statement of Faith and What They Teach).
Apparently, this was at odds with some of the church’s leadership, and ultimately cost him his position there.
After Paul’s termination, we learned that Calvary Chapel was hosting RockHarbor pastor, Mike Erre, who is author of the book, “Death by Church: Rescuing Jesus From His Followers, Recapturing God’s Hope for His People”.
Unfortunately, Mike Erre’s theology does not represent the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The
Erre teaches replacement theology, and states in his book that "the people of God are the new and renewed
Included in his book are strong undertones of "universalism". He states, "Our traditional conceptions of salvation are blatantly more individualist, focusing on one's individual reconciliation with God through a personal relationship with Jesus . . .It is more concerned with getting souls to heaven than with bringing heaven to earth. This narrow gospel focuses only on the salvation of the human soul, but the gospel of the kingdom includes salvation of human beings within the context of the larger story of God restoring all of creation.
He states, "The consummation of the kingdom includes an entirely new creation." He goes on to say, "This new and cosmic salvation is spoken of as the renewal, restoration, or reconciliation of all things."
Another quote from the book, "One of the ways that the kingdom is larger than the church is that the focus on the kingdom is the redemption of all creation. The message of the kingdom of God is cosmic in its proportions . . . it (the kingdom) is ultimately aimed at redeeming and restoriing all that God has made."
You can read the article in its entirety here:
Emergent New Paradigm Pastor to Speak at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa
On RockHarbor's website, I found that they had posted a video put together by the leadership to squelch the rumors going around that they are a part of the “
When asked if the Emergent Church was good or bad, this pastor answered, "Yes." Huh? He said, "it is very hard to pin down what it means to be apart of an Emergent Church, some parts are really harmful, and some parts are positive contributions." He goes on to explain and to "break down" into different compartments, or three tiers if you will, the groups identified in the Emergent Church movement.
He identifies the first group as "relevance". These are theologically conservative evangelicals who are interested in translating the gospel into culturally relevant concepts, language and ideas.
The second group is identified as "deconstructionists". They are a conservative group but believe the current forms of church are a hindrance to the Gospel. Therefore the "forms" of church need updating.
The third group is identified as "revisionists". These group believes the same as the first and second groups but think that theology needs revising as well.
RockHarbor's position is the middle one: "We see the need (and the biblical mandate for) fresh expressions/forms/methods of contextualization - that is, new wineskins - while remaining faithful to the revealtion of God through the Scriptures."
Deception is subtle and often sounds very good. This is how Satan works, appearing as an angel of light but bringing deception, and drawing attention away from God and His Word.
I find it disheartening that churches feel the need to make the message of the Gospel more “universal, relevant and user friendly”. I think that this is a dangerous path and a misguided vision for the Church. Feeling the need to make the Gospel message "more attractive” to the world is in itself a worldly concept. Churches have become entertainment centers to help us feel like we are relating to God better. The newest versions of the Bible are so culturally relevant that one can't find that literal translation anymore.
Jesus did not come into this world all decked out in the latest apparel, riding in the coolest ride, with all the glitter and glamor of the world. There were no cool bands performing, activities He offered, or ministries for everyone and everything.
He was born in a manger, a cave really, worked as a carpenter. He was meek and lowly, and didn’t stand out as the “big and awesome” coming attraction. The attraction was His Message and who He declared Himself to be.
The focus should not ever be making the Gospel more attractive through culture, style, and fun activities. The attractiveness is in the Gospel message alone.
With that said, pray for our pastors, pray for our churches, pray for the Church as a whole that we would not compromise and that we would stand for truth. The Word of God is relevant to our lives today as it was in the beginning. God does not change! He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

I was sickened at reading an editorial entitled "Obama Worship Goes Into Overdrive as 100-Day Mark Approaches.
The details from the official press release are as follows:
Can You Handle "The Truth"?
NEW YORK, April 24/PRNewsire/ -- Michael D'Anuono may raise more questions than answers when he unveils his highly controversial new painting, "The Truth" on the South Plaza of NYC's Union Square on the 100th day of Barack Obama's presidency. The artist's politically--, religiously - and socially-charged statement on our nation's current political climate and deep partisan divide has been privately raising eyebrows (and voices) since its creation.
The 30" x 54" acrylic painting on canvas depicts President Obama appearing much like Jesus Christ on the Cross; atop his head, a crown of thorns. Behind him, the dark veil being lifted (orlowered) on the Presidential Seal. But is he revealing or concealing and is he being crucified or glorified?
Click for full article: Obama Worship Goes Into Overdrive as 100-Day Mark Approaches
The artist of this blasphemous piece canceled his public unveiling due to the overwhelming public outrage. Thousands of emails and phone calls were received in the first 48 hours after it's release. Praise God!
The worship of this man is no laughing matter. The Bible clearly states that the "False Messiah" will come. Is it President Obama? I don't know who it will be, but clearly the world is now ready to receive such a one.
1 John 2:18 "Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now there are many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
Jesus warned us to take heed that no man deceive us. The world will not receive the One True God, for they will create their own idols to worship. It has been this way from the beginning and will continue until God pours out His WRATH upon the face of the earth.
In Matthew 24:5, Jesus tells His disciples, "For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many."
Although we have not heard President Obama declaring himself to be the "Savior of the world", the condition of the hearts of mankind is ripe and ready to receive the one who declares himself as the "Christ". "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Luke 12:34
In the book of Revelation, chapter 19 clearly speaks of when the Lord will return and what will become of the earth. I would encourage all of us to study it.
- There will be signs of His Coming.
- The Rapture of the Church will take place.
- There will be a Great Deception and the coming of the Antichrist.
- There will be a Great Tribulation period as God opens up the seals and pours out His Wrath upon the face of the earth.
- Jesus Christ will return victorious with the name written, "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS" on His vesture and on His thigh. And the armies (the Church) which were in heaven with him follow upon white horses clothed in fine linen, white and clean. (verse 11-16)
- And the enemies of God will be cast alive into the lake of fire: the beast, the kings of the earth, their armies, the false prophet and those that had received the mark of the beast, and those that worshiped the beast.
- Satan is bound and cast into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years, released to roam the earth to decieve those living in this millenium period and gather them together for battle against the Lord.
- God will cast the devil and those he deceived into the lake of fire to be tormented day and night forever.
There's more.........but you will have to read it for yourself.
Dear friends, don't be deceived. Keep yourself in the love of God and stand on His Word. Time is short and there are millions who don't know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Let's win as many of them as we can.
"Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their Lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately." Luke 12:35, 36

A friend of mine posted this picture on a recent blog regarding this subject. I think it says it all, and it's well worth the read.
The Red Pill Consortium A Nightmare Whose Time Is Coming
The news gets more bizarre by the day. If it’s change you wanted in
I believe the American public has been duped again. Promises, promises! The politicians make promises and break them. There is always some wicked agenda lurking in the dark, as they lie to our faces. They promise us the moon, then hand us another lemon.
President Obama along with other elected officials all claim to be "Christians" when running for office, and then mock God and the Bible when they've been elected. A prime example of this is portrayed in the short video at the following link location.
Barack Obama Mocks And Makes Fun Of The Bible—No Christian Would Do This
There is a subtle battle going on in out country that would strip away our "Rights and Freedoms". Our right to worship God without the Federal Government imposing it's immoral laws upon us.
Andrea Lafferty, executive director of the Traditional Values Coalition, says the bill is a serious threat to religious freedom.
"Your pastor could be prosecuted for conspiracy to commit a hate crime if it passes and become law," she warns. "This so-called 'hate crimes' bill will be used to lay the legal foundation and framework to investigate, prosecute, and persecute pastors, business owners, Bible teachers, Sunday School teachers, youth pastors -- you name it -- or anyone else whose actions are based upon and reflect the truth found in the Bible."
TVC says H.R. 1913 broadly defines "intimidation" -- and offers up this example: "A pastor's sermon could be considered 'hate speech' under this legislation if heard by an individual who then acts aggressively against persons based on 'sexual orientation.'" Under those circumstances, says the group, the pastor could be prosecuted for "conspiracy to commit a hate crime."
What about our freedom of speech?"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Harry Reid are being told to prove once and for all that the "Fairness Doctrine" will not be reinstated – by calling for a vote to strip the FCC of its authority to reinstitute the broadcast policy."
No 'Fairness Doctrine'? Prove it!
What about the "Food Police"?
It's called HR 875. That's right, a whole new government agency is being created just to police food, for our own protection of course.
HR 875 The food police, criminalizing organic farming and the backyard gardener, and violation of the 10th amendment
Our Congress works hard at getting new laws written "on our behalf" then attaches unpopular and "unpublicized" extras without our knowing it. NICE!
This morning's news declared that congress will soon be passing a Bill that "protects" credit card holders from the corrupt practices of many Credit Institutions. Sounds like a good thing, right? Well it would be if it stood on its own merit. But as usual, the politicians have attached a gun ban law to it, which will likely pass because it is not made public knowledge.
They do not inform us, because they do not want us to know their agenda. They have an agenda to push, a"New World Order", and it's time we wake up to that fact.
This Administration promised to be transparent. THEY ARE NOT. They are the same shameless liars, deceivers and cheats that we have had to endure in times past.
Remember the Bill of Rights? I think you should read them, so that you may know what is being stolen from you on a daily basis.
The Constitution of the United States of America
Who are these people changing the Constitution of the United States, and taking away our Bill of Rights? Why aren't the vast majority of American citizens outraged?
This is just more proof that we are indeed at the end. But....it is still our responsibility to search out the truth, to pray for our leaders and our country and to take a stand where ever and whenever we can.
We still live in America, we still live according the the laws of the land, AND THAT LAW STATES THAT WE HAVE CERTAIN RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, so fight for those freedoms. What should we do then? Should we remain silent and assume that God is in control and leave the responsibility to Him alone? Should we become angry and radical in our fight for freedom?
Maybe we should just be responsible. By that I mean responsible in what we do with our freedoms in our votes, in our relationship with God, and our testimony to man.
We can take a stand for righteousness in how we vote. We may have to take the extra step and go the extra mile and call or write our elected officials to voice our opinions.
We can get on our knees and pray! Pray for our country. Pray for our leaders. Pray for repentance, and a return to God for this nation. It is the best thing we can do, sometimes the only thing we can do, but always the most effective thing to do because God commands us to do so.
We can "Stand Fast", Christians! We can remain steadfast! We can maintain our walk with God, live in holiness and purity, not compromise and be obedient to His Word.
We can stay in Christian Fellowship, study the Word of God and PROCLAIM THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST TO EVERYONE WE KNOW.
What we cannot afford to do, is nothing.

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12
In reading some of the statements made by the leading members of the Emergent Church, I have become very perplexed at mans constant drive to find a new path to God other than the one that God Himself laid out for us in His Word.
One would think that God changes with the wind.
News Flash: God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He doesn't change with the wind or with a whim. There isn't a "new" road or "many" roads.
Jesus states in Matthew 7:13-14, "Enter in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
It’s interesting to me that the very next verse warns us to, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
The “false prophets” spoken of in this verse are the very ones who would teach you that there is another way, a different path to God other than that which is stated in the "whole" of the Word of God.
I believe it is their sole desire to mold God and His Word after the image of sinful man, so one doesn't have to be confronted with their own sinful nature. The way in which this is accomplished is by undermining the teachings of the Scriptures. That’s what Satan did in the Garden of Eden and it is still what he is doing today. Remember, “Yea, hath God said?” Satan is still whispering the same distorted lies in the ears of men, always instilling doubt and the questioning of God’s Word.
In an earlier blog, I talked about Satan's desire to distract us in order to deceive us. After having visited some of the websites published by some of the above mentioned churches, I was astonished to find no mention of God, not one mention of Jesus. There is not one Scripture in print on the entirety of the web site. Yet there is loads of information about the church and the myriads of activities one can get involved with, something for everyone. It is indeed the way they try to make God more relevant to today’s Christian, a more user-friendly version.
NEWS FLASH: God was relevant to the lives of those He created at the beginning, and He is relevant to our lives today. His Word remains accurate in every detail and relevant in every age.
Who then are these false prophets and teachers who would bring in heresies causing multitudes to turn from the One True God and reject the teachings in the Scriptures?
Well, they are those in the headlines, the TV evangelists, the mega "feel good about yourself" churches, who reject God’s Word and write their own version of “truth”
There are hundreds of these types of churches, and yet multitudes follow them. Thousands sit in the pews and are blindly led down a path of destruction.
Christian brothers and sisters, we have God’s very Word accessible to us at anytime we want it. I implore you to read it, study it and know what the Word of God says, so that those who would try to teach anything contrary to the Scriptures would not lead you astray.
Some of the mind-boggling statements from some of these leaders are so troubling, that they just have to be mentioned.
Brian McLaren, who is an author, speaker, pastor, and networker among
Here are some of the heretical statements made by Brian McLaren:
He states, "For too many people the name Jesus has become a symbol of exclusion, as if Jesus' statement 'I am the way, and of the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me' actually means, 'I am in the way of people seeking truth and life. I won't let anyone get to God unless he comes through me.'"
(Quote taken from: “A Generous Orthodoxy”, Zondervan 2004; Ibid. p. 70)
Jesus prohibits people from seeking truth and life? "Yea, hath God said?" Actually, the Scripture says, "I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." Jesus said he is the truth, not of the truth! Remember, men seek after God as the Holy Spirit draws them. If the Holy Spirit is drawing a man to seek after Him, how is this prohibiting?
One would wonder who Brian deems Jesus is. Why would anyone have a problem interpreting that Scripture? Jesus plainly declares who he is and the way of salvation. In fact, isn’t Jesus declaring himself to be God? He is the second person of the Godhead; the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. He is God!
Brian seems to think that this teaching is a “symbol of exclusion.” Let’s read John 3:16, Jesus says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Where does Jesus ever talk about exclusion? He said, “whosoever would believe in him.” Whosoever means everybody, it is inclusive not exclusive.
One more thing I need to question, where is his fear of the Lord? Where is his love and adoration for our Savior, Jesus Christ? Where is the holy reverence for God and His Word? Who is he to undermine the teaching of Scripture?
In this ignorant statement, what Brian McLaren reveals is that He has no understanding of what salvation is, who God is, who Jesus is and what He accomplished on the cross. I believe this in itself disqualifies him as a legitimate Bible teacher. If he can’t comprehend the basic Gospel message, why is he teaching at all?
Here are a few more quotes to scrutinize:
Brian states: "In the Bible, save means ‘rescue’ or ‘heal’. It emphatically does not mean ‘save from hell’ or ‘give eternal life after death,’ as many preachers seem to imply in sermon after sermon. Rather its meaning varies from passage to passage, but in general, in any context, save means ‘get out of trouble.’ The trouble could be sickness, war, political intrigue, oppression, poverty, imprisonment, or any kind of danger or evil."
(Quote taken from: “A Generous Orthodoxy”, Zondervan 2004; Ibid. p. 93)
We are not saved from hell? Just what are we saved from if not sin, and death, and eternal punishment in hell? Read: Revelation 20:14-15; Matthew 25:41
Brian states: "A generous orthodoxy, in contrast to the tense, narrow, controlling, or critical orthodoxies of so much Christian history, doesn't take itself too seriously. It is humble; it doesn't claim too much; it admits it walks with a limp."
(Quote taken from: "A Generous Orthodoxy", Zondervan 2004; Ibid. p. 155)
We can't take orthodoxy too seriously? Just what doctrines shouldn't we take too seriously? Is it the doctrine of salvation through Jesus Christ, and by no other name? Is it the doctrine of sin and hell? Maybe it is all of the doctrines of the Bible that should be disregarded and "not taken too seriously." Brian is paving that broad road, not to heaven but to hell!
Brian states: "We see modernity with its absolutism's and colonialism's and totalitarianism as a kind of static dream, a desire to abide in timeless abstractions and extract humanity from the ongoing flow of history and emergence, a naïve hope to make now the end of history (which actually sounds either like a kind of death wish or millennialism). In Christian theology, this anti-emergent thinking is expressed in systematic theologies that claim (overtly, covertly, or unconsciously) to have final orthodoxy nailed down, freeze-dried, and shrink-wrapped forever."
(Quote taken from: “A generous orthodoxy”, Zondervan 2004; Ibid. p. 286)
Systematic theology is wrong? Well the opposite of absolutism is extreme relativism. In absolutism, everything is certain. Relativism, on the other hand, is more subjective. It includes concepts such as utilitarianism and idealism. Relativism stresses the idea that nothing is certain and this is exactly what it sounds like to me. Without absolutes in Biblical theology, there would be no way to determine the difference between truth and error. Here we go again with the many roads to God theology. I call it the "anything but God's way" theology. WOW!
“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12
Brian McLaren is indeed a false teacher. Christian, don’t throw out God’s Word for these apostate doctrines of demons. Know God’s Word, and know that those who speak not according to God’s Word are devoid of the light and life in Jesus Christ. They love darkness more than they love the LIGHT! They are enemies of the Cross, enemies of God. They know not God and God is not in them.
There is only one way, one truth and one life . . . HIS NAME IS JESUS, and by no other name can man be saved!
