"We see, in many a land, the proudest dynasties and tyrannies still crushing, with their mountain weight, every free motion of the Consciences and hearts of men. We see, on the other hand, the truest heroism for the right and the greatest devotion to the Truth in hearts that God has touched. We have a work to do, as great as our forefathers and, perhaps, far greater. The enemies of Truth are more numerous and subtle than ever and the needs of the Church are greater than at any preceding time. If we are not debtors to the present, then men were never debtors to their age and their time. Brethren, we are debtors to the hour in which we live. Oh, that we might stamp it with Truth and that God might help us to impress upon its wings some proof that it has not flown by neglected and unheeded." -- C.H. Spurgeon . . . "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31, 32 . . . . .

RICK WARREN'S ONE WORLD RELIGION

By A.M. Kisly

At the annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America which took place at the Washington convention Center Saturday night, the Washington Times reported that Rick Warren spoke to an audience of 8,000 Muslim listeners. His message was…to work together to solve the world’s greatest problems by cooperating in a series of ‘interfaith’ projects.

Warren pleaded with the audience that, “Muslims and Christians can work together for the common good without compromising my convictions or your convictions.”
Where is this message in the whole of the scriptures?

Warren also stated,
“I am not interested in interfaith dialogue but interfaith projects,” (Not interested in the commission that God called him to?) “Talk is cheap…but love is something we do together” (Mr. Warren apparently doesn’t comprehend what love is…This is love, that while we were yet in our sin, Jesus Christ died for us.)

“As the two largest faiths on this planet – more than 1 billion Muslims and 2 billion Christians – we must believe in this…we must do something to model what it is to live in peace, to live in harmony. (Doesn't the Bible teach that there will never be peace in this world until the Prince of Peace, that is Jesus Christ comes back to rid the earth of sin and Satan and rule from His throne? Heaven and earth shall pass away....behold a new heaven and a new earth....His Word will remain forever.)

Saving the world...unity and peace...working together...all sounds good right?
I’m beginning to wonder if those who claim to be a ‘believer’ really believe. I’m also wondering why so many so-called Believers don’t seem to care what God thinks about these ideas, nor do they care to search the Scriptures themselves for truth about these matters.

Do we love God? Do we have the love for His truth? Do we love His Word? Do we read it like a bathroom reader or do we study to show ourselves approved unto God…?”

Dear Christian Brothers and Sisters, Our ways are not higher than Gods ways, nor are our thoughts higher than God’s thoughts…surely Mr. Warren isn’t exalting himself above the Lord, or is he?

As a pastor, Mr. Warren is called to preach the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Here again we have witnessed a complete failure of another church leader to do so.

The Bible says in Matthew 26:11 that the “worlds greatest problems’ as Mr. Warren puts it, will always be with us, read it.
The Bible says that sin is the root of the problem, man is lost and doomed to eternity separated from the God that created him unless he or she comes to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Mr. Warren is more concerned about “ecumenical unity” and solving the world’s social problems than having an open dialogue about the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I couldn’t be more dumbfounded.

His opportunity to reach Muslims for Christ is wasted, squandered away, leading 8,000 lost souls to believe and trust in the vain words of man. He has given them absolutely nothing; No Hope, No Salvation Message, No Good News, No Eternal Future, instead he has led them down a path to destruction.

Mr. Warren is accountable to God for this appalling speech…and my personal view is that he has disqualified himself as a pastor of the flock of God.

Friends in Christ please do not buy into the idea that we can save the world…the only hope for this world is Jesus Christ and Him alone.
Christian believers need to stop checking their brains at the door and buying into every deceptive ploy of the devil.

These strange doctrines of men will lead us away from the truth and away from God.
The time is late and the time is now to put away childish things and get serious about our relationship with the Lord. Believe not every vain word of man or every wind of doctrine that blows through the Christian church, we must put our hope and our trust in God and His Word.

If you want to know what the good and acceptable will of God is, read His Word. He left us His Word that we might know the truth and that the Truth would set us free. He left us the Holy Spirit to teach us, to comfort us, and to draw us to him so that we might have discernment over spiritual matters.
Draw nigh unto God and he will draw nigh unto you….

Jan Markell of Olive Tree Ministries wrote an open letter to Rick Warren, I hope that you will read it.

It is a shame that people claiming to be Christians have descended over the last several generations to be so knuckle draggingly stupid.

Here is to the New World Order and the One True Religion! May it see you silenced!

I might just stun people to have them read that in one respect, I agree with Rick Warren . . . (is that collective gasping I hear from all you fundamentalists?). Well lest you all have coronaries, let me (hastily) explain:
Every soul born on planet Earth is currently undergoing one of two tests: The unsaved are subjected to the "entrance exam" that is, that which is necessary to ENTER into heaven. IF they receive the Truth re: Jesus Christ, His blood atonement for our sins, and substitutionary death on our behalf, they are then "IN" the kingdom of God. They passed their entrance exams.
Those of us who have already passed those, and now undergoing a different sort of test: a kind of 'stewardship' test, that is, now that we have been granted salvation (specifically, "justificaton" which cannot be earned or worked for, but is freely given by grace and cannot be UNmerited), what have we done with it? Are we growing in Christ-likeness? Are we mortifying the flesh? Are we keeping (by the power of the Holy Spirit) our garments of righteousness clean? Are we motivated by God's love reigning in our hearts to conduct 'good works' for God's glory?
Salvation has many aspects to it: justification, sanctification, and glorification are three primary components. Its the sanctification process that the saint is called to contribute to, working in sync with the LORD and by His Spirit to do all the above mentioned deeds. For such deeds that are gold, silver, precious stones, we will not only receive reward, but also rank in the kingdom of/from heaven.
So R.W. is correct in that we are being tested. Problem is, he thinks these tests have to do with our justification: wrongo! that was accomplished 100% by the Cross of Christ, and to attempt to add to that is blasphemy!
Regarding his capitulation to Islam, this doesn't at all surprise me as R.W. is a good member in standing in the C.F.R. an organization committed to a one world government, whose complexion will be characterized by a one world religion. Dogmatic, fundamental, BIBLICAL Christianity must be eradicated, leaving a mere shell w/o the Spirit: Indeed, scripture describes this sham perfectly: "Having a form of godliness but DENYING the power thereof" R.W.'s brand of Chrisianity is emerging quite well, and if it talks like a whore, walks like a whore, acts like a whore, then it IS a whore: Of Babylon, that is- See Rev. 17 and 18. There y'are!

Dear Jack,

I think you have missed the message.

The message of every believer in Jesus Christ, is the Gospel message.

The Gospel message is and always has been Salvation through Jesus Christ.

It is not about working together on projects or preserving the fallen and corrupt systems of the world.

The Bible is God's Word to mankind. It is clear from Genesis to Revelation, form Creation to the Coming of Jesus Christ what God's plan is.

His Word is True, it does not change and cannot be silenced, His Word will live forever.

THE MATTER UNDER CONSIDERATION—Salvation!

If the truth offends, then so be it…but I would like to clarify my point to the reader.

Please consider this you who hail the New World Order as the One True Religion…

Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away.” Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31 Luke 21:33

THE MATTER UNDER CONSIDERATION is Salvation!

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Matthew 8:36

I have written a new blog on this very important matter, the most important matter that faces mankind, and I hope that you will read it and consider it for your own welfare.

May the One True God reveal Himself to you in such a way as to radically change your life forever.

Thanks for your insight, AM Kisly. I have been troubled with Rick Warren's brand of the Gospel for quite some time. Much of it is a good social gospel that appeals to many. But this is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ. No where in Warren's best selling book, "A PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE" does he promote the idea of confronting sin in one's own life, or in the church itself. King David appeals to God in the Psalms to "see if there be any wicked way in me." David wanted to please God by confronting his own sin(s). Shedding the light of God's Word exposes sin, and helps us to avoid it in the future.
And when it comes to working closely with others for world peace, how can this be done when God directs us to not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers? The counsel of Amos 3:3 is, "Can two walk together except they be agreed?" It is a rhetorical question and the answer is so deeply applicable to what Warren is promoting. How can we work towards the common goal of world peace when our intended partner is instructed in the Qur'an to obliterate us if we do not convert to their religion.
The world is a mess, as the scriptures prophesy. National and ethnic hatred abounds, as the Bible prophesies. Religious intolerence is everywhere, yet God says He is not a respecter of persons. Prior to humanity destroying the Earth, God has promised to intervene and restore it for us, and when that happens, the Bible also prophesies that God will restore peace and judge the wicked, regardless of their religion or faith system.
Any peace that is made by man will not be a world peace. Humanity is too diverse for one human-bred brand of peace to satisfy all races, nationalities, and creeds. I'd rather not work for "whirled peas," only our faithful Lord God can give the world a peace that surpasses all understanding. His peace will be lasting worth the wait. All the rest is just spinning wheels.
As a previous commenter says, "Here's to the One True Religion" ... the worship of Jehovah God, Jesus Christ.

Dare I say it?
::sigh::
I must:
It seems that Jack doesn't know 'Jack' about the core of Christianity: the gospel of Jesus Christ our LORD to the salvation of lost souls.
(sorry, hadda say it!)
